  1. Random Screenshot Dump! Career Mode: Yes, I successfully engineered a plane using only winglets, SRBs, and radial decouplers for skids. It's a pretty good glider... But landing it is a pain. So I designed an ejection system to land when I'm done gliding... But the engine/wing section wasn't done when I was. It kept gliding for a minute and 39 seconds. Sandbox Mode! My newest and greatest plane, the Tilty McTilt! This is post-touchdown mode to keep it from taking off again. Did I mention that it has a hinge? This enables it to have a positive AoA for short takeoffs and a negative AoA for short(er) landings. It also looks really cool. Mod for the hinges is Infernal Robotics.

He might not be on a Windows machine and has parental restrictions, and some people don't like software that they don't know about; .zip is a significantly more universal file compression format anyway. Nothke, you pack the .rar files and I'll repack them as .zip and send them to you so you can post them in the thread.
  3. 6.39 Tons to LEO! We're making progress! There's still some fuel in the jettisoned stage in the background, and the probe's tanks are completely full.

  5. I use Linux for KSP and what games I do have, but I also have KSP on OS X for testing parts I make. Linux/Hackintosh combo, baby!

  10. It's actually pretty stable that way, I just have issues landing with low vertical speed so that I don't hit them.
  11. Really need to work on not losing the engines when landing... For that matter, I need to work on landing.
  12. There's certainly people who don't use part mods for career mode, I happen to be one of them. Squad also has experimentals to make sure stuff works and is fairly well-balanced. That being said, the Tech Tree is working great! No complaints here.

  15. Totally Useless Crafts! I'll develop these during my career mode livestreams and then post the results here. The Porcupine Temporary Image! Using only the first level winglets and trusses for skids (no wheels yo), it tries to fly but fails. Utterly. There is no way in the world this could fly. At least it has an abort sequence... "Lift is for amateurs." Download (Dropbox) Yes, I will use Comic Sans MS for EVERY title. It is the only font that can correctly display the useless hilarity of these crafts.

  17. First failed mission in 0.22... Total, utter loss... I figured it would be cool to have Jeb go on EVA while coming through the atmosphere, you know, for SCIENCE! It wasn't. And then I was timewarping to get the pod down faster so I could get the science back at least, but warped through the chute deployment and it broke. At least I transmitted the goo data I collected.

  20. RANDOM PICTURE DUMP! Shermin Kerman performing an EVA while prepping for rendezvous with KBS5. The Fairing'ed Heavy looks good in black. KBS5 Now has enough Fairing'ed Heavies to evacuate all six of the crew. Now we just need more space for them to live. Tried to get the Aeris 4A to KBS5 as well. Ran out of fuel while killing relative velocity and ended up reentering. Not sure why I took this one... Oh yeah! Because Minmus in the back left! My Mun base after getting the payload from the previous picture. It's still only Nelbert and Hanbal without any real living space, but at least we have power during nighttime and way more fuel than we need!
  21. There should be a field in the config file called "steeringModeType". Change that from "AutomaticSteer" to "TankSteer" (without quotes) and you should be good to go.

  23. Eventually, but Resources are such a large, gamechanging feature that the devs are implementing some "smaller" things, like science, first.
