  1. Career mode has hardly been started so far- science is the first step in the ocean of career mode. I'll definitely be playing it, it's bringing back memories of my first time playing KSP already!
  2. Got a whole Rockomax-32 up to KBS5 today... Oh herro Now kith Done! Rodwin Kerman performing an EVA analysis of the tank. Yep, 100% full and infinitely expandable! (there's another docking port left of frame).
  3. A tiny amount of Comic Sans across the entire game isn't that bad. It's nice to have some variety.
  4. They're the HOME 2 Beta parts. I think it might be this one...
  5. Shermin, Bob, and Billy-Bobsey Kerman undergoing a practice exercise for their time on Mun. Thombin is in the lander can providing logistics support (he'll be staying on Kerbin but still needs to know what he's doing). Most of this exercise is getting familiar with KAS 0.4 and the rover that will be coming with them.
  6. Crash test successful: Max altitude (from ground): 495 meters Speed at impact: 98.55 m/s (probably less due to drag) We won't be hitting Mun nearly that fast, so these guys are pretty safe. Oh, and that's the remnants of a rover underneath. There was also a battery and some KAS stuff. Not all that useful unless we need a spare tire, which we don't.
  7. It allows you to choose the launch point (assuming there are launch points available). The two default points are the runway and the launchpad but Kerbtown (which is what hosts/uses the button) can add more. Whoa. Just whoa.
  8. I think you mean i.e., not e.g. (id est = that is versus exempli gratia = for example). I also disagree. Sure, it can generate random cities quickly and cheaply, but hand-making all of the buildings in Kerbin City is what makes it so appealing. This is the work of many people, not just one guy.
  9. Dat airport... Haven't gotten much work done on my plot recently, but I'm still in for the long haul. All I really need is a good design and it'll go quick.
  10. It's been far too long, but Kerbals have finally returned to Mun! (The lander and Kerbals arrived separately, then rendezvoused in orbit) And of course I landed! Right on the edge of a sweet crater, I might add! I'll be sending Nelbart and Hanbal a rover and some science equipment, since they're staying until 0.22 (for science!). Once they come back, I'll put a station in LMO after being assembled in LKO.
  11. Hello, everyone! OrbitusII here with my twitch.tv stream, happening daily at 5pm Eastern time! (9pm GMT) Come visit the stream to see the crazy stuff I build or to get your stuff shown off! More info is on my twitch page, www.twitch.tv/orbitusii.
  12. Finally added a cupola to KBS5. Still need to get around to adding those fuel tanks... Next on my list of things to do: to the Mun!
  13. It doesn't matter which you buy from. It's DRM free from both Steam and the KSP store, but Steam auto-updates when a new version comes out. Either way, you'll be getting the same game.
  14. gimbalResponseSpeed is the change in the value of the gimbal per frame. The gimballing system most likely uses Mathf.Lerp (or Slerp) to change the gimbal of the engine nozzle, and those parameters are startValue, endValue, and changeInValue. So higher values for gimbalResponseSpeed means it will change faster. It's kind of counterintuitive, but understandable. Basically, Lerp does this: v-k = mt, where v is a function of t, k is the initial value, and m is the change (gimbalResponseSpeed).
  15. What I learned in KSP today: If it looks like it should be in an anime, it'll more than likely fly pretty well.
  16. Working on a new Kerbal Transportation Vehicle.
  17. Banned because you weren't even there
  18. Try to not trip over this. Warning, object in Internet may be closer than it appears.
  19. I find that amusing coming from the one whose name starts with the last letter of the alphabet and goes immediately to the fifth. *Flex*
  20. Herpdy derp... There I go, making wild assumptions again. It sounded like you were planning on using a plugin to collect resources instead of just using stock configs. In that case I'm not sure how to make collection require an atmosphere of 0. Sorry for the confusion! This looks really cool so far, keep at it.
  21. Oh, so you're not actually writing the plugin. I guess it sounded like you were. This should still be useful information for anyone who does want to work on it at least.
  22. It's Vessel.staticPressure (I think Vessel is capitalized...). From here: http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/API:Vessel Keep in mind that staticPressure yields a Double instead of a Float or Decimal.
  23. Banned because "zero sense" is equal to 0/0, which is undefined. Thus, you are banned by math.
  24. You can do a check for the atmospheric pressure to make sure it's less than or equal to zero, if true then do the resource collection. Check the wiki for the syntax on getting the atmo pressure, I don't know it off the top of my head.
