Well isn't there supposed to be machinery in the warehouse module? I'd imagine that if a kerbal got stuck there, opening the doors are the least of his worries.

I was wondering if it would be too much trouble to add a control panel inside the payload bay so that if I accidentally lock a kerbal inside I don't have to worry about a reverse 2001 scene even though technically I could open it at any time.

Well I'm 27 and I'm a big fan of the Tinkerbell series. Honestly for a series of movies about a bunch of fairies it's actually quite enjoyable and not all that girly (hell they have an entire guild of mechanical engineers of which the title character is a part of)

A feature I wouldn't mind having would be a Part Diagnostic where I can determine in advance if something isnt' working. Now it won't be a crystal ball, but it could give me a ballpark idea of the condition of a part at which point I can send someone on EVA to physically inspect it to determine if it was a false reading or if it needs some fixing.
