Ah yes, that I am. So I should be able to reverse-engineer the careersaver file to pull the numbers for Gael & co.?

Well, here it is, as these things usually go, 1:30 in the morning and after an unexpected burst of inspiration the first chapter to Revelations is now complete. I can hear @Ten Key groaning from here Well, it's not really the first chapter, it goes somewhere in the middle. I'm not even sure quite where, so it won't see the light of day for many and many-a'. Nevertheless, it marks the beginning... of the end.

Hmm. Well that's odd. I'll have to take it over to that thread, all the other contracts from the mod seem to work right but the Apollo 7 recreation wants me in orbit of Icarus. If all else fails, I can just cheat it complete, too. Edit: wait a sec. I wonder if Rald could be messing it up. Is there any way to check what the body numbers actually end up as in game?

Weren't they constantly on alert? At least, most of the years they were active? -
Quick question to the team: I'm trying to get a balky contract from Mission Controller Extended to work, it's sending me to the wrong planet. What body numbers are Gael, Iota, & Ceti? (And Icarus, for reference. I'm guessing 1.)

@Triop you had a quicksave, right? You paused periodically to quicksave, right?

ICBMs, at least the more recent ones, carry 6+ warheads that are independently targeted and maneuver on their own for terminal guidance, so "close enough" is probably, well, close enough for the initial lob. -

aaaaand just like that I'm out of likes for the day. Play from an off-equator launch site for a while, you'll feel their pain. -

I think it's more the inclination, in this case. They only get two (very short) windows a day when the orbital plane passes overhead, so like you said, the mechanics of one are probably better than the other. Or... can they launch 51* southward from the Cape? Would that pass over land too soon? If not, that's only one usable window a day. -

That's probably one of the reasons they're building in Brownsville, tho that's got its own share of problems too. Again nodding at the airplane thing, perhaps if they can get the reliability high enough they can move inland. Any place on the east coast at lower latitude is gonna be subject to some nasty weather. -

Yeah, instead they just suffer from the occasional worker strike and odd riot. Actually, with the weather Florida does seem like a horrible place for a space center, but launching out of Arizona presents its own set of problems. -
Aha! I knew it had to be something simple like that. Removing the file seemed to work, thanx. The SSTU panels are still putting out ridiculous power, but I can live with that. The Kerbalism panels are back to putting out what they should.

Year 5, day 211 After two missions in a row into deep space, it's time to turn our attention back the local area and our crude crewed space program. Mostly because Triti hasn't had much to do lately and she's getting a little... antsy. Damn shame what she did to that poor rhino... I was not expecting that.

And in the meantime, my game is unplayable, so you can perhaps understand why I would like to find a workaround.

Was there anything done in the last update that might have messed with electrical generation in upscaled games? I updated GPP at the same time, which previously had been working fine together with Kerbalism, and now my solar panel output is way low. This at 1 AU from the star, stock output should be like 1.6 kw.

It's already been decided, Jeb is a horrible name for a real rocket... for reasons that should be obvious. And just like that, even without a launch, I'm out of likes again. Sigh. Oh well, back to elbow-deep in a diesel. -
