  1. http://spacenews.com/ula-to-focus-more-attention-on-commercial-launch-market/
  2. You read the wrong news. Anyway what would be the reason to develop a manned spacecraft if all the destinations for manned spaceflight are already accessible soon by a range of manned spacecraft from international Partners? Hermes only made sense in combination with the free flying Columbus. Not with an international Space station.
  3. Built my First "new Space" style semi reusable launcher, and decided that it's not really worth the hassle each launch. https://imgur.com/a/A0om7 Also do Imgur albums not work on the Forums anymore?
  4. You just need to abandon the sentimental attachement to the Apollo style approach. And since Orion was never meant to fly to LLO on its own while simultaneously carrying cargo like a lander, it doesn‘t need that much delta v.
  5. Have i missed SpaceX landing something on Mars or even the Moon?
  6. I meant equivalent in that they are put up in a single launch, not necessarily comparable in mass.
  7. And Space tugs too. I just wish they had some more details.
  8. The announcer said the video was from an earlier flight.
  9. would be cool if there‘d be a way to embed a countdown into the top post.

  11. A Soyuz is launching in less than an hour over in the Arianespace thread.
  12. If by ISS alternative you mean a modular space station, they want to start building one next year. This Tiangong 1 and Tiangong 2 are equivalent to the eary Russian stations or Skylab.
  13. Not really quickly, considering that the last crew left the station in 2013.
  14. Sorry, it wasn‘t clear to me that principia is a mod.
  15. Lagrange points sadly don‘t exist in KSP thanks to a slightly simplified model of orbital mechanics.
  16. I think it makes sense once you attach a heatshield to the capsule. no need to make the lander can even lighter
  17. http://space.skyrocket.de/index.html another good scource of information about all kinds of different Spacecraft.
  18. The lander was removed very early on but wasn‘t cancelled i think. Just moved to a seperate launcher at a later date.
  19. weird, everything i find says something different. http://www.russianspaceweb.com/fregat.html http://www.arianespace.com/?popup=soyuz-2 http://en.roscosmos.ru/451/ http://www.astronautix.com/f/fregat.html
  20. Isn‘t the crust something like 20 kilometers thick?
  21. No problem, you just take the hourly BFR flight to Europa and start digging with your spade. If you find something that moves, you know it‘s alive.
