Too small, didn't read!!

You can do that right now in Space engine, for the ENTIRE observable universe. That is billions of galaxies, not just one galaxy. Like I said you cant really get any bigger than the entire observable universe.
-
Well, I guess it is, but it is persistent. You can bookmark places you visit and they will be around every time you return to that place. Even land features like rivers and mountains.

This thread again? It must be about third time this year. Space Engine hands down. Elite is just an insignificant speck of nothing inside the vastness of Space Engine.

yes, but this is far more cryptic than any crosswords I have seen before. Lots of clues are the same! I think its good though, because its meant to be solved as a collective effort of many brains working together, with a help of a planetary information network. What a world we live in...

yeah, I am trying to avoid Roscosmos and Nasa atm, they have a ton of missions each, could be a lot of things. Concentrating on the smaller space agencies, far fewer options...

I am a bit confused. I do not see any new announcements on the main page. The last "Latest Article" is from Feb 15 th about Valentina's day community contest. The latest Announcement in the official subforum is from the January 1st. Where are you getting these pictures from? Why isn't there any mention of them (apart from this thread started by a regular forum member) on any of the news pages on this forum? /rant

I haven't actually played KSP for about a year now. I have been waiting patiently for the 1.0 version. But now, what with the mysterious countdown and all the commotion, I have started preparations for getting back into KSP. Mainly by researching mods that I would like to play with. i am looking into procedural parts, Life support system, KER and a few others. I am super excited about the new(new for me ) B9 procedural wings and the SETI balance mod. for the first week or so I will test the new aero and deadly reentry in vanilla, and than decide on the list of mods to use (FAR was a must have for me). Hopefully they will be updated within a few weeks, so I can get into it.

I think it was on one of the Devnote Tuesdays, around the time they announced the fairings. A couple months back? Not sure, you would have to go back and check them.
-
I think I remember them mentioning you can choose and select at which seam the fairings fall apart. This just might be a glamour picture of all of them falling apart, because it looks good.

Clicked out of curiosity. Seen pictures. Checked OP's name if its Whackjob. Found out that it is not. Eyebrow risen... Nice little ship you got there...

This is quite common. The reason for this is that you usually launch your vehicle during the day. By the time you are circularizing the orbit you have traveled half way around the planet and you are in shadow. To avoid you must either launch at night, or launch very early in the morning.

Should SQUAD post all KSP announcements on the official forum?

Must be by my age, but I ever only visit these forums for any KSP news. Hell, I don't even know what this reddit thing is.... -
KSP 0.90 'Beta Than Ever' Grand Discussion Thread!
Torham234 replied to KasperVld's topic in KSP1 Discussion
As someone who doesn't use Mechjeb, I find the ability of pilots to hold prograde/manouver points one of the best features added to date. Also I love the new gizmos, more career progress is always good and part overahuls..... in short 0.90 is Better than ever!! -
Rosetta, Philae and Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.

I made something topical... http://i1289.photobucket.com/albums/b514/yes753cac/philae_zpsd780cac3.png~original' alt='philae_zpsd780cac3.png~original'> -

The ice screws could have just dug into a dust layer, it looks quite deep on that pic. -

Rosetta, Philae and Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko.
Torham234 replied to Vicomt's topic in Science & Spaceflight
BBC live update : Scientists at mission control are now processing the first images from the surface of the comet. But they are also getting intermittent drop-out in the communication between the lander Philae and the "mothership" Rosetta, still in orbit. Paolo Ferri, head of operations at Esa, told BBC News: "We need to stabilise this situation over the next three hours." -

A guy from the mission control was just doing a recap for BBC, the harpoons did not fire and neither did the thruster. He said it was a very soft landing, as the probe bounced up only 4 cm, but they cannot confirm that they are firmly standing/attached on the surface. He said they are moving some instruments on the probe, which makes it move about a little. Edit: and apparently I misheard or something, according to the post above... Still very exciting. With any luck, people will be making conspiracy theories about today in 40 years time. -
Just a stab in the dark, but Isn't the reason for that the fact that the game is still in development? "Crew tasks: Have the crew take charge of controlling the craft" have been in the planned features for over two years. Maybe Kerbal influence is the latest iteration of this feature?

In a scale of 1 through 6, how efficient are you?
Torham234 replied to Commissioner Tadpole's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I guess 5, bordering on 6. I always liked to play efficient, even before the career mode kicked in. Nowadays, I almost exclusively play career with a bunch of realism mods like FAR, Tac life support, remote tech...etc etc. -
The 0.25 Waiting Room, now boarding passengers heading to Hypetown
Torham234 replied to Rowsdower's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I see this thread is adding a new page every minute or so. That must mean that 0.25 is less than 6 months away! yay
