  1. If there's something to stop them sliding, you may have a chance. It's unlikely, but you can always quicksave experiment, and try reentering with your ship pointed a few different ways, unless the challenge forbids this.
  2. Ooo, I like this. Grams would be even better, punchier. Reminds me. Tell an American you lost 15 pounds and they'll congratulate you. Tell it to an Englishman, and they'll have the opposite reaction... However, I prefer the simple approach of just calling it funds.
  3. I liked the text sequences, they were both Danny-esque, but not a copy. One thing I would've done differently is cutting the scene with the Lv-30 to the ground. I like the Scence in progress thing, that would make a nice gif. Perhaps you could try a video reply? Does youtube still do that now google has mixed up the comments?
  4. Nicely done! Is the script specific to that rover? What was the rover's average speed?
  5. Yeah, I don't think it would work. And defining the characters too much could dampen the variation in how Bill,Jeb are portrayed in the Fan Works forum. We have Jebs that range from steely eyed to cheerful idiot. Each story needs its characters to work a certain way, an official characterisations might lead to some stories which would've been awesome, never being imagined.
  6. This phenomenon always makes me want to experiment with crazy gravity assists where passing through the lithosphere is not a concern. Haven't got around to it yet.
  7. Yes, you'd at least need to collect the shards somehow. But repairing the OX-STAT should be feasible.
  8. For a while I've been wanting to see a KSP replication of Gravity. A cut down version at least. This would have to be a team effort, with tasks divided. E.g, some people building the "Sets and Props" using appropriate mods, while others could actually do the filming. Different scenes could be done by different people. If it was to go whole hog, there'd need to be an animator to make a female kerbal face for Ryan (Stone) Kerman. The final product, even if it ran for 30-40 minutes, would be pretty awesome.
  9. Wehrwin Kerman. Minmus explorer in 0.18, he was part of a three man expedition in a cart mod rover that covered much of its surface. Then a test pilot who flew shuttle prototypes and participated in the "Cannon (not really) to orbit" program. Now he's become a bit of a stuntman. I do things with him like returning from a space station via parachute, returning from my Minmus base via cannon, and returning from the Mun on the end of a single SRB. I also quite like Danble, one of the original Duna expedition crew, now an operative of my base on Minmus. And Watsan, the star of an Eve exploration long term mission I've got going.
  10. Plus, one advantage with unity- with a little prompting, it's relatively simple try making mods, especially part mods. There is a free version available. I have no idea what other engines are like when it comes down to easy access, but perhaps we wouldn't have the wonderful range of mods that there are now if it was not on unity.
  11. I saw this a few days ago. The Moon was moving over the stands at my city's cricket ground, and you could easily see its progress.
  12. I remember those days... The instance they are genderless seemed to provoke an awful lot of heated feelings too. Can't we just leave the topic, so we can live in hope that they will make them some day? If I recall, more recently they said they simply weren't quite sure yet how they'd go about it.
  13. When I read this, I thought you wanted to make kerbals bigger..
  14. I was beginning to think it would be Scott Manley's origin story, given the way the original ends. Really should get around to watching that in full some day.
  15. Today is Australia day, our national day. The traditional way to celebrate is with a barbecue, so I had one with kerbals. Images of the mayhem to flick through: I also discovered that aerospikes migrate.
  16. Most of my "Bad Ass" moments are semi-intentional. I thought of when I used an RT-10 to return from my Mun base- Jeb helped set up this stunt. Landed so fast that odd things happened, but still survived.
  17. As long as there is not going to be in any ecological damage from our harvesting them, and they are shown to not be near human intelligence by rigorous tests, then I'd be fine with it. Assuming eating isn't going to kill me, or get me killed by local people.
  18. Poor Jeb. A captain who went down with his ship. I like the design of Pegasus, it's a nice looking ship. Well done with the mission, (hope the exams when well too.), Good luck with the return!
  19. I have a Milly. A few others which are close or ambiguous, such as Anlin, Danimone, and Joefel. That's all I can think of ATM though.
  20. Isn't that what the awesome pictures thread is for? Have a look in fanworks.
  21. Looks good! BTW, if the is plan to strand him there from the start, you might as well call the mission that takes him home a "recovery" rather than a "rescue".
  22. What is he made out of by the way?
  23. That's a very cool looking rover. The vertical climb is impresive, I think you have a potential mohole explorer there. And this: Awesome machine!
