I can also say that it still works fine for 1.4.5 (i'm still playing with this older version cause of mods). I downloaded it yesterday evening to try, and it works as it should. I just react because I see the reply of Skalou few hours after i tried it for the first time. I really like that it does not create a new part but just give the possibility to put or not a hatch on the existing one depending of your need vessel by vessel.

New observation: the link between missions of a same program can be a bit weird. I noticed that I made Friendship 7 (John Glenn) before Freedom 7 (Alan Shepard) and even Vostock-1 because of conditions to unlock the missions ! I'm curious to know how long duration missions (like Mariner-2 that implies to flyby Eve, meaning 200 days mission) block or unlock new contracts.

New post, possible bug. I'm playing with the version for KSP 1.4.x. 1) When I decline a contract (like one with negative reward, see post above), the contract is coming back few seconds later. I simply can't skip any of these contracts. Any idea why? 2) contract Explorer-10: Apoapsis: Above 180,000,000m Problem: it's over the sphere-of-influence of Kerbin (84 000km), is it normal? I suggest either 18,000,000m (a bit further than the Mun) or 80,000,000m (just below the limits of Kerbin SOI) 3) Tiros 9: PARAMETER { name = Orbit type = Orbit targetBody = HomeWorld() minApA = 250000 minPeA = 700000 minInclination = 87.5 maxInclination = 57.5 Apoapsis and periapsis are strange (apoapsis below periapsis), but inclinations make the contract impossible to complete as contradictory.

If there was something that I really would like to see in a future update, it's a planet overhaul. Duna was initially having its canyon, which made it visually pleasant, and for the players, interesting to explore. Now, all the surface of planet looks globally the same. Once you landed on a planet, trying to get somewhere else on it makes little sense in term of exploration. https://spacedock.info/mod/1041/Duna Restoration Project Our own Solar system, and the probes we sent there has proven us that planets are diverse, beautiful, and each new feature discovered was a call to exploration. -

On my side, I remain less convinced by this revamped Twin-Boar than by other revamped parts. My two issues would be the smooth engine bell and the overly-sized lateral exhauts. But this thread became one of my new favorites, I'm regularly coming to see if there are new updates -

Hello, I start to plan back my travels to Duna. Can someone explains me the hellish red area? Why is the delta-v jumping so much (up to >20k m/s) and crossing a low delta-v window? Is it interference of the Mun? -

By curiosity, what is the best parameter to target to land as close as possible of the KSC when doing the reentry burn? I ask that because my stages when doing reentry with StageRecovery usually arrive at 100km of KSC. I'm using the mod Trajectories, which indicates by a cross the expected landing site (considering drag forces). Should I consider the cross or focus on the end of the trajectory curve? -
I really enjoy this mod, by the amount of mission, by the fact that i've learned a lot about the first satellites. A small question: why do some mission have negative rewards (as Discoverer-10)? It's the ones that historically failed? Edit on this image: it seems that all the one that historically crashed (when it was not intended) have negative reward, which is a bit frustrating, because of high number of them and repetitive aspect of these missions + impact on career. If I could suggest improvements to the mod: - a mission like Explorer-6 currently requires only to put the satellite in a specific orbit. However, the description of historical mission states that the mission was taking photographs. I could suggest to also require to make and transmit a scientific experiment (like status report) - Sputnik-1 could also have a status report as requirement to validate the mission (like already have Sputnik-2, which requires any scientific experiment to be transmitted). In reality, it's nearly all the satellite that reached orbit that could have this condition to validate the mission

Hello, Do we have a linear aerospike currently available? I was looking to the XRS-2200 and to the ARCA Space rocket in mind: All i could find is this thread, and i'm surprised to not find more aerospikes (small and big) : I thank you for your feedbacks

I did not realized how faithful was this mod until watching this video Even the small details are reproduced. Isn't however the 415 of Isp a bit OP?

That's an important point. I've no shame to say that without MJ i would have stopped to play because of the progression curve required by KSP. MJ has been an instructor for the gravity burn, Hohmann transfer, docking ... what i can do myself now, i learned it by looking what did MJ and understanding the reason it did it. MJ allowed me to have some fun in the game as beginner, to orbit Kerbin, to land for the fist time on the Mun, to reach Duna ... The willing to do that by myself came after.

Hi, I'm trying to do a filter for the subcategories of DMagic Orbital Science (for KSP 1.4.5), but something strange, I manage to get only two folders recognized (ProbeScience & OversizeScience). I checked everything in the code (every single character with NotePad++) and don't get why the folders UniversalStorage & RoverScience are not detected. Can someone tell me where i make a mistake? Thanks for the explanation. I was referring to the bay doors of the 2.5m module of Universal Storage 1. The difficult point with this large shroud and the collision is the impossibility to use it for a lander with quad lateral tanks. When each door is independent (or half primaries, half secondaries alternatively), we could lock the doors in front of these lateral tanks and store electrics / propellant behind those doors.- 1,558 replies

Ok, thanks for the explanation. I did a long break of KSP (did not played since KSP 1.3.1) and noticed that many DMOS parts were updated, and assumed that they were updated for Universal Storage 2, without noticing that it was stated that not. -

To inform you that i recovered the same issue with the same parts (Solar Particle Collector, Accelerometer/Gravmax,PresMat/2Hot, other not tested as not unlocked). Restarting the game or reinstalling the mod changed nothing. -

Can someone confirm me that the 2.5m shroud with 8 independent doors does not exist anymore in Universal Storage 2? With the current 2.5m shroud, I got a warning that the bay doors could not retract because of a fuel tank laterally attached.- 1,558 replies

Hello, Is there a mod that provides more filter than "Name / Mass / Cost / Size" ? Typically for the engines, that can sort the engines by Isp or by thrust? I thank you for your answers
