1. right direction, but wrong planet. this mission goes to Moho ... and it's a Block D upper stage. but an Eve mission is on the drawingboard.
2. since i'm testing the pre 1.1 .. i can finaly work again on new missions without lags during launch with high partcounts (around 400 parts per launch) guess where this is going to be sent
3. beautifull little spaceship you got here. i'm always amazed about people, build their own stock rotation pieces. well done !
4. wow, very nice lifter concept well done Temstar! Well done ! and it's nice to see, that i inspired you with the parachute landing. I know it full of trial and error, but it works perectly
5. nearly fnished the work on the reusable boosters. Energia M ready for lift-off
6. yup, reusable zenit booster for my Energia M there is a very big difference in impact tolerance. landing legs have a tolerance of about 10 m/s, landing gear has 50 m/s (lol). and the landing gear looks way better then the normal legs.
7. lot's and lot's of trial and error. first i try to find the dry mass of the booster, then i place the chutes ... and then testing ... and i had something more like this in mind: http://www.buran.fr/energia/img/blocA-en.jpg
8. proof of concept: now time for the correct placements of the parts and more balancing ...
9. I experienced something similar. but i think, that this is more of a passive radiator bug. i submited a bugtracker report for this case.
10. hello folks, it's been a long time sinced i published a craft here. This little cutie is my entry for the "Regional airliner challenge". It's a small little businessjet based on teh real life Learjet. It can carry a total of 7 Kerbals by a maxspeed of 250 m/s or mach 0.7 at sealevel. download: -> LazTec Businessjet <- Actiongroups: 1 - Flaps 2 - Airbrakes (linked together with wheelbrakes, Key B) 3 - Ladder Pictures: [imgur]GX0Kc[/imgur]
11. my plane for the challenge, based on the reallife Learjet  Plane: "LazTec Businessjet" -> download <- Time: 8min 37sec (can be faster, i'm terrible at landings) Passengers: 7 (pilot included) Fuel consumption: 41 (rounded) Fuel consumption per passenger: 5,86 (rounded) Max speed: 252 m/s Max g force: 4.0 G (during a test, i pulled 6 G  ) [imgur]GX0Kc[/imgur]
12. Soyuz, Zenit and Proton are using hotstaging here the hotstaging of the Soyuz (seperation of corebooster and upper stage) @ 3:06
13. nope, even at 1% throttle with engine power set down to the lowest point with the twak menu, things keep blowing up.
14. and Sepratrons are deadly now at zero distance edit: There must be something wrong. I did a quick testing of all LF rocket engines. All engines, even Rapier in closed cycle mode, destroy the decoupler and stages below. no matter if the thrust is scaled down or not (!). Only exceptions are the LV-1, LV-1R , Ion and the monoprop engine. All other jet engines not tested. maybe r_rolo1 is right and a mistake sneaked into the math of the engineexhaust heat?
15. anyone noticed the slightly wigglywobble when SAS is engaged? craft won't stop to wiggle around the point of SAS lock ...
16. Proton Rocket is USELESS now -.- i'm mostly happy about this little update (fuel flow fix for jetengines YAY), but this high engine exhaust heat is stupid and ridiculous. tried a hotstaging design with a heatshild ... did not work, nearly teh complete first stage was blown away .. edit: an other thing i notcied after soem testrides on rockets and planes: using SAS is unstable, the craft tends to wiggle around the point of the SAS lock .... the more SAS and gimbal you havem the worse it becomes.
17. Orion inspired mun-mission rework of the EUS is finished with seperation srb's, RCS, probecore, bat.-power and payload interface now i have to decide, if i use the Orion MK II with the "bigger" service module for munmisisons, or the other one. which is a standard orion with normal service module, but additional munar braking/return stage. (like in the Chaka monkey SLS pack, great mod pack!)
18. thanks a lot i go with 10,5t, 13t, 25t payload ratings now edit: which means ...

type payload to LKO TWR @ liftoff

5.2 10,5 t 1,46

5.4 13 t 1,65

heavy 25 t 1,27

19. has anyone exact numbers of the payload capaticity of the Delta IV series? (medium 5.2 & 5.4 and heavy) most numbers i find have a range from 9 to 28 (!!) tons and i'm a bit confused now and does anyone know the weight of the current Orion ?
