  1. the new panels are beautifull beale ... hrm maybe i will use my Ur-700 to lift an entire MIR in one go
  2. still work in progress, but i got inspired. i really don't know if i need such a heavy lifter. my biggest single paylaod to orbit was "just" 40 tons ... yet... 240 tons or 3 fully loaded Kerbodyne S3-14400 Tanks to LKO UR-700 inspired rocket:
  3. Sir Nertea just awesome, as expected some very cool looking engines. can't wait to play around with them.
  4. that update ... i don't have updated my KER and other mods but just some took my rockets for testflights: Saturn IC - broken Atlas - Mecury - broken Delta IV medium - broken Delta IV heavy - broken SLS Block I - broken all Orion missions - broken Soyuz - broken Zenit 2 & 3 - broken Energia - broken Proton - working that was very unsuspected first flight of each craft was without changing things from 0.9, then changed fairings mostly to the new (ugly) ones. the rockets tend to flip over after reaching a speed of over 300 or 400 m/s, even when just going straight into teh sky without touching the D-key for going east .... some don't even lift off the only working one is my Proton, my little beloved baby ... at least i have a 20 ton lifter. i need to figure out some of the strange behaviors. it seems that the new aeromodel realy hates cliped parts, like on my ICPS or interstages or engineclusters. using wingsurfaces for interstages or parts of fairings is a deadly idea now oh and ... going slow at first and gently accelerting is now how to get a rocket into space .... even the stock rockets fro msquad are shaking and wobbling and tumbling like mad
  5. the main problem will be teh rebalance of all engines in KSP v1.0 the booster engine are now considered "upper stage engines." this means that their ISP and thrust is lower in atmosphere so the thrst is pretty low ... new boosters or maybe an engine cluster (two mainsails per boosterS?) is needed.
  6. can't wait for KSP v1.0 to build my new MIR and can't wait for teh updated stationparts
  7. so, KSP v1.0 is around the corner. i'm very excited to test the new aeromodel and all the new parts. i hope the new landiggears will be good... inigma, i will use solid boosters (clustered long srb's) for my shuttle. but the cargocapaticity will be reduced to 20 or 30 tons.
  8. i will quote the Movie Spacecowboys: "Remmeber, this is not a jet, its a flying brick of concrete"
  9. ha! thanks for the Architect-badge, i feel honored i will work on some good looking OMS- pods over the wekeend, we will see what i will build. and yes, composite wings are a must have with the current aeromodel, sadly i realy wonder how the new one will work and how the new wings will look
  10. here the download for my shuttleprototpye still missing OMS, adjustments for the SSME's and aft RCS, no gliding tests where done so far (lack of time) and the wings are only one layer (no double composite ) i will build my shuttle for a 20 to 30 tons payload ^^ -> click me for a shuttle <- edit: to late i see
  11. Beale? how about a flying leaf of bread as a new capsule? the ne Cygnus looks very good and i love the LES
  12. Inigma? do i have permission to use your wings for the moment? honestly i'm to lazy to build my own wings for my shuttle
  13. yeah ... instability ... noticed it as well with my own mockup was flying nice without additinal SAS modules until the booster were runing out of fuel. with some very gentle rotating of the SSME's with the rotate tool, carefully looking the the Kerbal Engenier torguereadout and soem fidling with the placement of the EFT and boosters, the numbers of SAS rings can be reduced. BUT, better safe then sorry about the wings, hrm seems i have to to soem compositemagic as well , damn you partcount
  14. inigma, why do you have build the wings with a double layer of wingparts? not enough lift ? and why do you have used so many big SAS wheels? asking this because i build my own shuttle right now
  15. twi FL-T200 are hidden inside teh service module, thanks to the offset tool my Orion MK 1 has roughly 700 m/s of dV
  16. thank you it was a lot of work and it's still not finished. minor things that needs to be added, altered or fixed. but all rockets are workign so far. even got teh time to build a Delta IV medium for saome heavy satelites. it's awesome to see, how already build rocketparts can be combined to form new ones.
