  1. I don't know, it happened too fast and I didn't have the screen maximized...
  2. I was watching a stream and at some point the guy hovered the mouse over some part that looked like a telescope. He was doing something else, so he didn't leave the mouse over for enough time for me to see what it was. Any of people have any ideas as to what it is used for?
  3. All dV maps assume that when landing/taking off you a) do it perfectly (ie, optimal ascents, suicide burns) and you land on a point with 0 meters elevation in the equator. Obviously in real life you're not gonna be doing that, so you have to keep that in mind.
  4. Yes, they repesent you and your target at the point in time the intercept (or lack of) occurs. Also, I never remember which one is which, but if you hover your mouse over them, one will say "target position..." while the other won't. Obviously, the one tha tays target is the target position and the other one is you.
  5. Are we talking about bodies with an atmosphere or without? If with atmosphere, there's a thread explaining it, it wasn't hard, but I simply can't find it. In any case, it will change now with the new aerodynamics. If the body is airless, then it's pretty simple and I'd be glad to dig up my calculator history to show you the math.
  6. A longer, more in-depth one: BTW, Manley didn't mention it, but the ore scanner doesn't need to go all the way around the planets. You need to put it in polar orbit and hit "scan", takes 30 seconds to scan. Boom. Done. I'm quite disappointed in that.
  7. Well, it all depends on what you like, no idea about space, but as far a aviation goes, off the top of my head, there's the Wings Of Russia series (a rare gem, mostly war planes), Flying Heavy Metal about commercial airliners, also http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/ if you're interested in WWII planes. Youtube is your friend here, lots and lots of stuff there.
  8. Bad idea. You end up hating whatever you use as your alarm, for obvious reasons. I resorted to just use whatever was on the phone when I bought it, it's an awful "melody" of some sort. I hate that thing with a passion, but at least is not something I previously enjoyed.
  9. I really don't see anything bad about it. If somebody makes a mod and wants to charge for it, then good for them. I might buy it or I might not, but it's their time, their effort, their mod, sell it if you want, give it for free if you want. At least that's the way I see it.
  10. Auto Navball pop-up? It's been asked for ever and is something that newbies might have trouble with. EDIT: I mean, Navball visible by default.
  11. Another Rendezvous and docking here. Specially rendezvous. Once I got that sorted out, the game opened to me, because then I could build whatever convoluted contraption I wanted in orbit, with 10 launches, didn't matter, but I didn't need to do just a single launch, and get it to anywhere I wanted... in theory at least.
  12. Yeah, I don't know about Steam. I don't use it. But the KSP Store has a hard time every release. Besides I'll probably wait for mods before I play seriously.
  13. Speaking of VAB, what about the background reflecting the time of day?
  14. You are seriously thinking on *downloading* on Monday? I don't know about you, but I think I've never been able to download an update on release day. And this one is a big one, so more people downloading... In any case, no, I will not skip work for a game, not even KSP. I will play the hell out of it and sleep little yes, but work is work, if I don't do it they don't pay me.
  15. I wonder how hard it is for your brain to adjust to the view. Would it be like feeling like you are flying really high or actually you feel like you are just outside the planet? Cool footage nonetheless.
  16. The Virtual Girl (clean, don't worry) is Lisa from Weird Science! The memories...
  17. Having SAS enabled might also be the culprit. SAS consumes electricity, if you time warp with it activated then I will drain your batts a lot.
  18. Yep, I can confirm, it's using geeASL and radius to calculate mass. Thank you sir/ma'am... crap, I'll have to check everything again.
  19. Just FYI, I just updated the map to rise Priax low orbit altitude from 35 km to 45 km because 35 was too low and your ship would eventually crash (or seen as crashed by KSP under high time warp, not sure). Also, keep in mind that land/take off dV are calculated considering the radius at the equator, you probably will land on a higher spot and depending on the body the difference might be quite high, so lower dV needed. Also note the "WIP" seal down to the right. Don't blame me if you strand your kerbals.
  20. Sorry to be a drag here, I've noticed that Priax mass in the cfg file (in OPM\KopernicusConfigs\UrlumMoons\Configs) is 1.7092e+15 yet in game it's listed as 4.829e+19. Now since I use the cfg files for my deltaV map, that... lets say "skewed" my values by quite a bit. Being that the rest also don't match and that there's the possibility that I'm looking for values in the wrong places, I have to ask: where will KSP get the values from ultimately? I didn't find any other file with info about bodies that would carry such information.
  21. Yeah... something similar has been happening to me as well. My SAS just stops working for some reason... I seem to remember that there was a bug where you would loose SAS when switching vessels with [ and ]... but I can't find it.
  22. I'm just gonna post this in case it serves as inspiration...
  23. Hey stupid_chris, mind if I ask how do the values in the bin files relate to actual height? I went and took a look at the code but my C-foo is weak. As I understand those are 16-bit signed integers, right? But how do they correlate to actual height?
  24. Is anybody else having the game crash when EVAing on Priax with a Mechjeb unit on the ship? I was wondering if I should report this to MJ or OPM... All other places are fine, but Praix, the moment my kerbal touches the ground, ka-boom! The error does come from MJ, but at the same time it only happens on Priax... 25. Yeah, right, because KSP forum members all live in the 20 countries or so where April's Fool actually exists.
