  1. Something I've learned from playing with RT2, you never have enough antennas or dishes. There's always more you can use, if you think 3 is enough, put 4. Same goes for interstellar but to a lesser degree since a relay has no limit but 4 are good anyway for symetry and having 2 receivers never hurts.
  2. You need RF since the engines all use Kerosene/Hydrolox. If you don't want it you need to edit the config files and change the resources to LiquidFuel.

  4. I don't know about KER but MechJeb has SLT (Sea-Level Thrust) in addition to TWR.
  5. This is a very controversial topic generally speaking, I don't think it's cheating to some degree especially since you don't even have autopilot functions in the early career mode. It does some things that are difficult to do in stock, for example changing inclinations since there are no ways to see the equatorial ascending and descending for a planet/moon.
  6. Line up your camera such that the orbit you want to get to is a single line. When your launch site crosses this line, launch. Assuming you're talking about a 28 degree inclination you can just burn east for both launches.
  7. Even a vessel the mass of a class E asteroid (1500t) is nothing compared to even Gilly which comes in at 1.2*10^17kg. Gilly barely has a gravitational field, a vessel the mass of an asteroid would need to be extremely far away from any body to affect anything else.
  8. White sun anyone? I just took the stock sunflare file and made it black and white, would be nice to make one that's more flare-y since it looks like small ball of light compared to the intense flare you see both with your eyes and cameras IRL.
  9. I'm not sure if this is RO or RftS but I was wondering if it's possible to remove tech levels for sandbox mode? It takes a few seconds to change all my engines and RCS to level 7 every time I add something and it's pretty unnecessary IMO. I haven't looked through the files, I'm guessing it's an easy MM fix if anything.
  10. Did you use a different method to change its color or is it the replace game files one from the Universe Replacer thread? If so could you share the files? I'd really like a white sun for RSS.

  12. The double horizon is because of the PQS fading, I'm pretty sure about that. I mentioned the unenven atmosphere earlier, I don't know why it's happening but it's visible from the surface as well. Seems to be higher on the side with the sun.
  13. It should work with 0.23 considering it hasn't been technically updated for 0.23.5. Version 1.3 is made for 0.23.
  14. Maybe this isn't in the scope of the mod, but is it possible to give us the option to disable the auto mode? I really hate when the camera switches to orbital and then free when on an escape trajectory. I just want to use free all the time, it's especially infuriating when I'm trying to click something and the camera takes 3-4 seconds of rotating in all possible directions before finally settling down at which point I have to drag back to where I was.

  16. How come RFTank0Switchable isn't in 0.9.10? It works pretty well with the RealFuels DLL you posted along with it.

Terminal velocity will still be higher, but without an aerodynamic rocket you're gonna have to go straight up until you're out of the atmosphere then burn sideways which is extremely inefficient and will cost you a lot of delta-v. That is unless you're carrying KSPI transmitters which act like giant umbrellas, you're not getting to orbit without a fairing.
  19. This is really about FAR/RT2 but basically you can't use deployable antennas in atmospheres. They do not get shielded in fairings either, use the small omni, the one with 500km range in stock and deploy the big one once you're out. Since you're using RT2 you probably have to 10x range multiplier, so the small antenna should be more than enough.
  20. How can I get colors expressed as RSS reads them (4-tuple)? I have no experience with this kind of stuff and a quick google doesn't help much. For example what would brown be? I give up, I don't understand how it works. If you can answer this, do you know why the atmosphere isn't even? It's obvious at KSC where it's brighter to the west and the south side has a dip after which it goes up.
  21. Is it possible to make the atmosphere thinner? Looking at Earth from the ISS, the atmosphere is rather thin, maybe about 2-3 times thinner than RSS at the same altitude. I was thinking AtmosphereFromGround could do something about that but every time I remove the foo (what does it do?) the sky goes black.
  22. KSP/KSP_Data, output_log.txt. If it's large just zip it. Also did you install it properly? You should have MP_Nazari and SmokeScreen in GameData.
  23. Post output_log so we can see what went wrong.
  24. Go ahead and change the sizes to 4. I agree 1 is a little small but it's what default usually is so I didn't change it, 2 might be a better idea because I generally design the payload first and launcher under that so I start off small then go bigger as it goes down.
