  1. Hi there! I just installed USI Life Support and I'm testing the mod to find out what I need in order to make a base that's self-sufficient. I calculated from the values shown in the part descriptions that a big greenhouse can support 4 kerbals in aeroponics mode, with supply surplus. However, when I launch a vessel with 4 kerbals and a big greenhouse, it's as if the greenhouse doesn't work, and supplies are consumed fast. I made sure I had enough power, I started the aeroponics, I have it full of fertilizer, but it doesn't seem to be producing anything. What am I doing wrong? If I launch the same vessel empty, the greenhouse produces supplies...
  2. The KSS Longburn is also on its way to Laythe, and it's full of colonists. There were plans to send another bunch to Duna, but now that doesn't seem likely...
  3. Hey, this may be a stupid question, but where can I find the default textures for the kerbal heads? I wanted to use them as base for my own edits...
  4. They couldn't issue more shares without authorization from the shareholders and the company, so that wouldn't work. If they're going to break the rules, they might as well mutiny!
  5. There you go: @GDJ owns the remaining 3%. That's canon! Unfortunately it's not enough to flip the table, so Johnsen is still the boss... So I guess we should get used to it!
  6. Finally someone notices Val is missing from Volume 2! She'll be seen on the next chapter, I promise! But don't count on her to save the KSC... Here's the current share distribution of KSC Stock, for those of you who are like Mort: The Cabal: 41% (bought at the IPO) Jeb: 10% (5% from Jeb, 5% bought by Jeb's Junkyard at the IPO) Ground Crew: 10% Bill: 3% Bob: 3% Val: 3% Gene: 4% Wernher and the rest of the staff: 2,5% Average kerbals who just wanted to contribute: 20,5% (bought at the IPO) @GDJ: 3% (yes, it's canon) So yeah, Mort got carried away and sold even his own stock.
  7. Oh, I think things will be a lot easier to keep straight in about 90 in-story days... I use a Firefox plugin to save the videos from youTube, then capture screenshots with the VLC player.
  8. Well, let's not wait any longer for the follow up! Here's chapter 33! Please bear in mind that I'm no economist! If there's anything in kerbal economics that isn't 100% accurate, blame the kerbals! Anyway, I love how the discussion in the topic made me improve this chapter. Hope you all enjoy!
  9. Photoshop, mostly. Just edited some pics from in-game and a pic from Linus Kerman to make the "Mortimers".
  10. Jeb's Scrapyard is suspiciously absent, isn't it? I actually was thinking of doing this a while ago, but I ended up deciding to do the recruiting the old-fashioned way, because I'd eventually need to transfer the "colonists" to their new homes, and that would be a bother. I'll just treat my 0-star kerbals as barely trained colonists, I guess...
  11. You raise a good point, but not everybody on Kerbin believe the Space Program claims about the end of the world, and there are also some optimistic souls who think everything will work out in the end and that the destruction of Kerbin may be prevented. There may be people hoping to profit from all the ruckus (thinking it's all a hoax), and there may be people willing to buy the shares just to support kerbalkind's only hope of survival. Mort will probably adress this on the next chapter.
  12. I think Kerbfleet is safe now that PK-Jeb has returned home. Probably. Maybe. I hope so.
  13. Aaaand the crossover is finally concluded here! Thanks for the journey, and a big thanks to @Kuzzter, who was a joy to collaborate with in this story. Next I'll be getting back to normal, easy, end-of-the-world Plan Kappa!
  14. The cactus was part of the decoration on Yardstick base, you can see it in the second panel below: As for how it ended up in the spaceship later, ask the hydrazine.
  15. @Just Jim I'm glad you liked this little homage! One of the messages we're trying to transmit with this crossover is that all our stories can coexist nicely, and that the kerbal multiverse is only improved by having more and more people writing.
  16. I'd have made other references, but the chapter was already oversized, and of course it wouldn't work with stories that were text-only.
  17. Okay, sorry this took so long! I went out of town for the weekend, and left the chapter ready to post. However, I couldn't login on Imgur on my smartphone for some reason, so it had to wait untill I came back home. Well, let's not wait any further!
  18. It's all about the damage you can do in the long term! Stelrine comes from the future. Sure, it's an alternate future version of the Plan Kappa timeline, but she doesn't feel like it's her world. Well, Bill isn't just a modder, he's a developer. Of Bill Space Program!
