My wife says I am addicted to this game.
thunderstar replied to LarryWallwart's topic in KSP1 Discussion
obviosly you're not playing enough -
i do build stations, but mostly for fuel, store crew, test a new ship in docking operations, but mostly i do buld stations for manned interplanetary travels, also i don't like gigantic 1000 parts stations, i prefer to keep them simple and the less laggy possible

awesome!, i got my pc in a 47" TV and ANY game looks awesome here! pics coming soon

it happens sometimes, maybe its a bug but hey, beta game is beta, when it happens tome i revert launch and try again, if still happens i just restart the game

KGB Macro-molecular reconstruction in polar orbit
thunderstar replied to Agent86's topic in KSP1 Discussion
maybe just a part of it, the dna is actually 3 meters long, and if you realize is just a bunch of molecules, 3 meters is huge, now putting it to ksp scale it just hurts my brain just thinking about it -
Show off your Debris Near Misses here!
thunderstar replied to AlamoVampire's topic in KSP1 Discussion
don't know if it counts but in earlier version i had a bit of debris right above of ksc, it was in a suppossedly decaying orbit, maybe 20 km-30km i gues. Right above ksc i guess, as it didn't load it it kept passing and didn't "dissapear" like other objects inside an atmosphere and before every launch i could see fliying around really fast -

[1.1.x] Space Shuttle Engines (2016-07-03)
thunderstar replied to sarbian's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
you know you really suck at making shuttles when you can't even make one with this mod and B9 :C. however i still use this awesome engines and the smart parts for conventional rockets great mod! -
KSP in full-screen windowed mode! quick 'n simple (windows only)
thunderstar replied to Moach's topic in KSP1 Tutorials
theres nothing better than playing ksp on your tv, believe me it makes the whole thing better -
i use that for docking two small ships, it makes it really easy, but when you have a really large station i have to rely on docking port alignment indicator, just triying to move something as big as an station will torn apart everything

What will happen if a FTL ship hits Earth?
thunderstar replied to Aghanim's topic in Science & Spaceflight
i don't know why but i don't feel safe anymore D: -
of course is natural!, if humans never explored we would still be a small tribe living in central Africa struggling for survive each day

What if you were given your country's space program?
thunderstar replied to Drunkrobot's topic in Science & Spaceflight
im bolivian, and my country just launched its first satellite, well actually china launched it but nevertheless it made people very interested in space exploration, you could see people in universities applying for the newly created space agency, a lot of people also started to study physics or physics related stuff, i know we're lightyears to actually launch or first satellite, and even beyond of that before a manned launch but we still have hope. if my country's space program we're in my hands, i would inmmediatly put my engineers to desing rockets, for manned and unmanned missions, capsules and even landers, and ultimately build them, sadly doesn't seem very possible because aerospace companies in Bolivia are practically nonexistent -
HotRockets! Particle FX Replacement + Tutorial
thunderstar replied to Nazari1382's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
can anyone please make a picture guide of how to add this to mod engines? i never edited a cfg before,so i don't understand how to do it -
omg thank you! the buran/energia is one of my all time favorite spacecraft and finally im able to watch a launch! Project Hercules all credit for this image goes to sfrost you can check some of his work here: http://www.redbubble.com/people/sfrost/works/9432072-mars-minimalist-poster ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What is project Hercules?, simple, it's the greatest and biggest adventure kerbals has ever envisioned since the mun-minmus programs that ended decades ago, it consisted of getting 3 kerbals into ike, and finally into duna as soon as posible. The Kerbal space agency was given one of the biggest and tremendous budgets ever concivied, but with the condition of designing, testing and finally fliying one of the most complex contraptions ever built, because of time limitation, the goverment said that it should be done with the less launches possible, and the assembly of the craft in orbit should be done in a maximun of 4 launches, so the ksp had three goals. 1-build a rocket big enough that could carry a transfer stage, fuels of all sort, energy and the crew, all in one launch 2-desing a lander that could fly independet of the rest of the craft, and can also be aerodinamically enough to fly inside duna's atmosphere and get into orbit from there 3-an habitat lander, that could land close to the lander so the landing crew can rest in a bigger space than a tiny comand pod 4- and orbital habitat module that will serve like a shelter from the dangers of outer space while the crew travels through interplantary space, also this moudle should recreate gravity so the astronauts don't suffer from bone density loss after being in space for such a long time the task was accepted, and 3 launchs were scheluded, one for ther orbital habitat, one for the lander and one for the transit stage and crew ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ CHAPTER ONE: THE BIG NEWS It was a quiet morning in Kandy shores, a small town located just outside of the KSC, most of its population was engineers and workers from the complex that during all the years of the development of the space agencie started building their houses as close as they could, it was years since the last manned mission took off from that launchpad, only small probes or company contracts satellites were launched by now, the place was almost a ghost town compared to the glory days of the mun program, ended decades ago, their succes was also their doom. After the landings the interest in space travel quicly dropped and people interested on the field became fewer over the years. Anyway this quiet and cold morning was different, it was the launch day of a tiny probe that was the first time anything builded by kerbals will leave LKO in a long time, all of the workers woke up early in the morning, and went to the facility, one of the workers, named Solong kerman, was on the typical routine that follows a launch. He woke up early on the morning, earlier that any other day, went downstairs trying to not wake up his family, did some exercises and then ate his breakfast, but today was not an ordinary day for Solong, he was thinking of applying for the astronaut training program, it was his dream since he had memory to go to space, it didn't matter if just to orbit or to the mun or crash into the sun, her only cared about getting there. later in the morning, Solong took his kids to school and then drove all thw way to ksc, he was very nervous as he was one of the people responsiple of the rocket's functioning, after all he was involved in the designing and building of it, and if something failed he was going the be one of the first people blamed, also the idea of being rejected from the astronaut training program didn't really help to his nerves, also he was thinking how was going to tell that to his wife, she definitely wasn't going to like the idea, but he tried his best to remain calm and entered throught the big gates that announced he was inside KSC. Morning, Solong we where waiting for you, said the receptionist without looking away from here screen. Morning, replied Solong, as he started running to the mission control building, he entered and started to wonder why everyone was smiling maliciosly, SOLONG! said mission control commander the recently 89 years old Gene Kerman, you're late again we almost had to cancel the launch!, so-sorry sir i had to left my kids at school, Gene said it was the last time he was going to forgive him, he sat on his chair en everyone started he pre-flight checklist. The coundtdown started, and when the clock hit 0 the engine roared in fire and the lauch clamps relelased the beast as a giant cloud of smoke formed around the launchpad, the whole mission control watched the craft as it asccended across the atmosphere, some time later they could hear a might boom as ir crossed the speed of sound, a minute later they confirmed stage separation and the flight perfomed flawless. they all celebrated their success when Gene said something: Alright, we have some important news, it seems the president has come personally to inform us, he'll be here in 6 minutes so get ready and go to the conference room, we'll wait for him. Solong wondered what was so important that the president come himself to tell them, must be special, he grabbed his belongings and went to the conference room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PS: thank you for reading my first story, its the first time i ever write something and i need your help, tell me my mistakes so i can correct them!, a word bad written or anything else!

Kraken, or physics engine glitch? YOU DECIDE!!!!
thunderstar replied to MaverickSawyer's topic in KSP1 Discussion
whoa now that's weird, maybe some plugin caused problems? im not sure but i cant tell you that leaving craft in orbit for several hours doesn't affect it, -
i'm just going to leave this here

Kerbin is gone. But what about your kerbonauts?
thunderstar replied to NASAFanboy's topic in KSP1 Discussion
well sadly only 3 kerbals on a LKO station will remain, they have a lot of modules but i doubt they'll last long -
Space kraken thread: Post your kraken encounters here!
thunderstar replied to InterCity's topic in KSP1 Discussion
one day i was making a christmas three to land it on the mun, everything went normal until i separated the last stage, it started shaking and some of the parts flew away, increasing its speed by thousands of m/s shot out into intarplanetary space the three kept shaking like crazy and i did my best but i couldn't control it, i finally managed to crash it onto the mun and we swear that we'll never speak of it, ever again -
Its time... for a KSP community alternative for fans by fans of KSP!
thunderstar replied to inigma's topic in KSP1 Discussion
yes, because they have larger communities than us, maybe in the future we'll have independent forums, mod pages but not until we're a bigger community -
hello blindside, first congratulations for already exploring the kerbin system, that's a great step,i couldt get into orbit after like weeks of gameplay :C, anyway duna seem like a good spot to focus your next mission, but i'd like to recommend to land on ike, duna's moon, before intending to land on duna, ike is pretty much like the mun while duna has and atmosphere, while its very tenous it can give new players a hard time, also practice docking before all of that would be great cause if you know how to dock you can make bigger ships in orbit and go anywhere you want, lastly nuclear engines are very heavy and have low thrust but are very efficient, eich means they're intented for space use only TL;DR: first practice docking, then go to ike, and nuclear engines only work in space
