  1. Feel free to discuss the impact the explosion has had on you, I know I'm awed by it, and the technical discussion that involves figuring out the yield and such, it's what we tend to do here anyways. But let's make sure to avoid posting anything that might contain pictures/videos of gore or injuries resulting from the explosion. Nobody has yet that I have seen, but we all know the rules. And until multiple official sources have confirmed any intentional acts, let's stay away from that topic too please. I can easily see how people would immediately think it was a small nuke, I know I would as it was going off in front of me. We were discussing at work about how it was almost 75 years ago to the day....
  2. Changed the air filters in the 6 new AC units we had installed. Each unit has 4 filters. I put them all in the same aligment, except for the middle one, facing the majority of the guys work areas. I had complaints within 2 minutes. It was glorious. They have to look at this sucker for a couple months now.
  3. The EULA specifically forbids sharing of SQUAD assets to other users. Since you're on steam though, this is a very simple fix. Right click KSP from your steam library -> Properties -> Local Files -> "Verify Integrity of Game Files". This will reinstall any missing files you might have.
  4. Apparently guys, this question does, in fact, merit it's own thread. Let's all slide the conversation about the big boom over to this thread:
  5. They're placed in random locations on each planet, so it's not like you can find a Kodor's Travel Guide to the Green Monoliths. You need to literally smack into one, see it from a low low orbit as you whiz by, scrambling to figure out where you are, or use kerbnet to find all the anomalies, and then hope the one you just sent the custom lander to isn't a boring one.
  6. Welcome to the Forums @Fougère_gs. We ask that you post questions in English out side of the international forums. Feel free to post in your preferrred language and then an automated translation to English if you need. Also your thread has been merged into the CKAN thread.
  7. Moved to Gameplay Questions. The Green Monoliths are randomly generated with each new save, one per planet I believe. They are supposed to show up in a different location each time. Discovering one, yes, will unlock a new tech. This has been part of the stock game for some time. Use your probes and such that have Kerbnet access to scan the planet to discover the locations. Edit: Huh, I guess Stele is a better word for them than Monolith.
  8. As mentioned, 700 is plenty enough to get back, it's not enough though to establish a LKO, and then do a re-entry burn, that'll run you about 1100, give or take. Just adjust your Kerbin Pe to about 30km and hang on.
  9. Richard Hammond (Brainiac / Top Gear) and Tory Bellici (Mythbusters) are doing a new Amazon show about science. Hmmmmm.... This will either be a great show, or completely meh. Either way, I enjoy them both, and I'll give it a shot:
  10. When the forums first started, there weren't many sub forums, so almost all the old threads were lumped together into one sub. So anything KSP and non KSP related were are jumbled together. Since most of the KSP related ones from back then are woefully outdated, there is no reason to keep them going. And due to migrating the forum to new software a couple different times, the formatting on most of them are messed up. Also the forum rules have evolved since then, and there's some content from way back that wouldn't be allowed today, which is part of the reason we have those rules. If there's a topic worth reopening for discussion, then start a new thread on the topic, and link the old thread. But let's not go digging up old threads just for the sake of it, if it's a pertinent addition to the thread, or you have a topic of conversation that an old thread has relevant arguments to, then by all means, start a new one and link the old locked thread. If you think there might be an issue with an old thread you'd like to link, just report it, and explain what you want to do with it, and we'll get back to you on it.
  11. Hey there @Oblate Prince, welcome to the forums! To insert an image, just right click on it, copy the image location, and then paste the link directly into the post. The forum will place it where you placed the link. For other Questions about how the forum works, check out this link, in it you will find another link to a thread which explains in more detail the workings of the forum: Or you can just go there directly, and your imgur album question is one of the first answered:
  12. That, and a lot of other useful information for new members can be found here:
  13. And now there will be the Mike and Ike Challenge. Land a lander on both Mike and Ike.
  14. Not a problem. If you are asking a question about a tool or mod, it's usually best to ask directly within the existing thread on that topic. If you aren't sure, post it where you think is best, and then report the thread asking for guidance, we'll take a look and help you figure it out.
  15. That was him being overly kind and polite regarding ST. There are two shows you don't tangle with the angry banana on, and ST is one of them. The other is not mine to reveal. If Van says ST:E was bad, then I trust him.
  16. Which site? The forums? @Delta dart, if you would kindly include some more details as to what you mean, it would go a long way to let people understand what is going on. Which mods have you seen? What sites are you downloading from? What malware have you seen? But like @goldenpsp said, if the license allows it, simply rehosting a mod is not theft. Even if it doesn't, it is up to the rights holder to enforce it. Although a community awareness of which sites are hosting illegally distributed mods does go a long way.
  17. The problem with this is some settings are save specific, such as difficulty settings. While I agree some items could be consolidated, I don't think there would be enough to get rid of all but one.
  18. Is the issue you cannot connect to the KSP from Duna, or that you cannot control the rover? 2 Relay satellites around a planet can't give 100% coverage, there will be blackout periods, so you might be trying to control the rover during these blackout periods. If you cannot control the rover, there's a lot of resons why. Some screen shots would help.
  19. @LewieSince this is not a question about KSP, but an outside tool, your question has been moved to the CKAN thread.
  20. Assuming you bought it from the KSP store, the downloader should self install once you click on it. If that doesn't work, we'll need more than "It doesn't work" Error messages or how you know it's not installing.
  21. Watching the stream, the control panel shows the planet. I saw that and my first reaction was... that's not Kerbin, it doesn't look like that.
  22. We have existing threads for this type of stuff. Let's not deprive others on the forum of your experiences by not posting them in the correct place. Please keep this thread on it's own topic, and not take away from others. We usually don't allow chat type threads to exist for this very reason, but as long as we keep to these guidelines (and other previous moderator requests), I think we can leave this one open.
  23. Well since the "common" fix doesn't work, we'll need more info. Logs, mod list, specs, etc.
