  1. Welcome aboard! Sounds like you’ll fit right in. Along with the KSP stuff, you probably find our Science and Spaceflight sub forum to your liking.
  2. Problem is, to get to IT, it's kind of a telephone game to reach them. The message has been passed on, they have said they're working on it, but with KSP not being a viable product for them, and with the looming acquisition, we're so far down on the priority list, I wouldn't hold your breath. They've said they think they know what's going on, but it seems akin to entering the numbers in the bunker from LOST, so.... I dunno.
  3. Yeah, don’t touch the thing that is driving you absolutely bonkers. Good luck with that.
  4. Your file links to your own hard drive, and won’t show up for anybody else. Please use a service like Dropbox to post a link to your logs.
  5. I have found an effective method to remedy this is to apply a layer of excessively adhesive tape (duct tape at the minimum) to the affected area and peel it off after a bit. Usually pulls the glass fibers right out. And all your hair. But the itching has stopped.
  6. Or, it’s a false flag statement they let float to help drum up interest. Either way, we’re probably getting a worthy successor to KSP.
  7. Welcome aboard! You could try the Spacedock thread if somebody else doesn’t jump in to answer your question first:
  8. Please do! You could make a full release thread over in Tools and Applications.
  9. Two scenarios exist here: JPL and friends actually don’t have anything to do with the acquisition, although I find that highly suspect given the timing of their collecting ksp devs like they’re shiny Pokémon. Or they are still not allowed to comment publicly. Again two scenarios regarding KSA forums: One, they don’t have enough content on their own to necessitate a forum yet, and discord is working sufficiently enough for internal uses and for some sort of public front. A forum is intended to come later as multiple contributors to the project are keenly aware of how important a forum is to the game, in particular for modding. Or two: There’s already an existing forum they plan on acquiring perfectly suited for their needs, and already has all the predecessors’ content on it. Now I’m not going all Vl3d here on my optimism, but I do see the pieces lining up in a plausible manner.
  10. That’s a fair question, because as I said it’s a tangled topic. To pick apart your question, I’d say the refunds and abandonment discussions are not related to the acquisition. Those are past events or hypotheticals that have been rehashed ad naseum in many other threads. If you notice, we didn’t remove anything for being off topic. It’s just a friendly reminder to keep on topic before we stray too far away.
  11. Yet again, more comments have been removed. This thread is not about OS’s and which is better.
  12. I know the subjects are quite tangled, but let’s try to stay focused on the acquisition, and keep past events in other threads. And now my non mod opinions: I still say that somebody convinced a VC group to make the purchase and RW took the KSP IP piece mail from that. I’m still hoping KSA is KSP3, merely under a working title. Even if whatshisname managed to acquire PD himself, most likely with backing, it’s not a bad acquisition. A small publishing studio that focuses on small Indy developers working on niche products could be a very doable scenario.
  13. Thread merged with master Spacedock thread. Some of your questions might be answered here.
  14. That’s one of our favorites. I’ve come up with a strategy that’s fairly suicidal, but often nets 40-50 points.
  15. Ficsmas is looming. Looking forward to this. Bit yet again I’ve been distracted by going exploring again, gathering all the sloops that respawned after the hot patch bug last week. And oh yeah, I got the golden nut the other day, and already have ramped up another 250 tickets. Why? Cause.
  16. Duplicate posts have been merged, removed, and moved to an appropriate sub forum.
  17. Even without knowing the engine stats, a simple application of the rocket equation should given you an energy ratio in terms of those engine stats, since it’s using the same engine for both. And while dV is not linearly applicable to range, you could then at least estimate a max range. And with a little more research, you could possibly figure out those engine stats and give you exact dV numbers, which would give you your max apogee for the optimum MIRV reentry profile (ICBM’s have different flight paths than standard more intuitive rockets), and therefore your max usable range. But to be fair, my understanding of the rocket equation is just enough to sound like I know what I’m talking about when it’s actually just flatulence. Somebody should be around soon enough to correct me. But honestly, my gut is telling me the max range is zero. I doubt that engine has enough thrust to lift that much payload.
  18. Probably not. It’ll leak through twitter or something first.
  19. Due to what appears to be A bad day at the office, a few posts have been removed. Not sure what happened here, but I think it’s been resolved?
  20. Yeah, I went around buildng a factory here, factory there. No real plan... just saying I wanted to produce say 30 circuit boards a min. Nothing unreasonable I thought... and then... I need how much copper to make caterium wire? Geez ok... How about 10 Nuclear pasta a minute. Not that much... oh geez... 6000 copper for that? Turns out that wasn't that hard. half of it came from nodes in around the factory location. Now I'm just setting up high capacity Iron, Steel, Copper, Caterium and concrete factories, so I don't need to harvest that many local resources. But I think my next big project will be a nuclear facility. I have 71 GW Capacity (including 20GW boost), which is fine for now with 38GW consumption, but a max consumption of 76 GW is a little bothersome. If everything turns on....
  21. That is what a normal Kerbal heart looks like. Why do you think they're green?
  22. Right since we've gone beyond the initial scope of the point of this thread, we're going to lock this for a bit.
