  1. still, it would be nice to recover SRBs, have chutes on top of them instead of nosecones, so they gently float back to Kerbin.
  2. Not knowing what a Steel Battalion Controller was, i did a quick web search and found it listed under "12 worst game controllers". it made the list mostly because it was only intended for one game only.
  3. It's given me a greater appreciation for how hard NASA had to work to get men on the moon.
  4. Here's an image of failure those are the aborted SRBs going free...
  5. Should the External Command Seat be upgraded so it' functions like all the other command modules? ie is available as a 1st part (currently not) and controls properly.
  6. I thought they do??? when power runs out, the entire craft is uncontrollable. (this may have changed recently, because i no longer send up ships without a stack of batteries and power sources). I'm pretty sure i got caught out when starting out with KSP.
  7. in other games it's usually called 'photomode'. i'd suggest this will have to go to the mod community (if not done already)
  8. you mean the custom action groups? yes, i thought it was odd they can't be edited after launch Is there any point in searching for something you KNOW is not there? (unlike our universe, aliens will never exist unless squad add them, which they said they wont).
  9. I'd like to suggest that the mobility ladders need to have a default 'step on top' if there are no more rungs available. At the moment, if you have a ladder attached to the side of your vehicle, you can't use the ladder to get onto the top surface (eg top of structure, ledge or other contrivance). as an example, if you have a 1.25 command pod on top of a 2.5 wide tank, you can't step up to the door of the pod, as shown in screenshot here As there are no more rungs above the ladder, it should allow my Kerbal to step on top of the ladder so he can reach the hatch, rather than as currently happens, they fall to the ground like idiots.
  10. wow, is anyone doing a texture update to replace the KSP one? Which is why Marty could have made a fortune selling his digital watch in B2tF in 1955. simpsons suggestion:
  11. that would probably be easier to accomplish (sooner). I'd suggest if they DO move, it should be a small circle placed around them that they are confined in (tethered). edit: Actually, they already have them doing it in the VAB, so it just needs to be expanded.
  12. I actually first saw KSP on the Australian tv show "Good Game" on ABC3. http://www.abc.net.au/tv/goodgame/ TV is an excellent medium for games reviewing.
  13. Far out. that's a pretty extreme bit of kit for a game that isn't even finished yet. sure beats the keyboard. Have you looked into repurposing/reconfiguring it for flight sims? (to make it useful for other games or gamers)
  14. Arriving in orbit at my space station i realized i didn't have any RCS to complete the docking manouver. No worries, get Jeb out to push! and it worked!
  15. I backup the whole game, just copy it from SteamApps to my third hdd. saves having to re-download if a mod stuffs it up.
  16. I've noticed some of the engines give an OT warning under what i'd consider Normal operating conditions. Is this usual? Do you think this should be corrected? I think an engine should only to be OT if it's receiving heat from another engine, or something else is causing it's exhaust to not exit cleanly. The baby SRB goes OT even when out on a radial mount. the mailsail goes OT if it's run at 100%. either the alarm is too low, or full throttle is not correct.
  17. This is annoying. i'm sure NASA did temperature scans at varying distances from the sun to track it's fall off and so forth. also it'd be interesting to see a difference in temperature from direct sunlight and in shadow of planet/body.
  18. I CAN dock, but i swear it's the hardest aspect of KSP. i still struggle with it.
  19. fyi, The correct floatation device that NASA used
  20. Last time i went to Jool, i blew up when i crashed into a cloud.
  21. they probably need to add a puke animation for just this kind of occasion!
  22. correct I disagree. the game already has to calculate the the electric charge used for accelerating, so slowing down (coast) or braking could use similar coding. So long as the net result doesn't give more charge then we should be good.
