  1. go to your savefile persistent.sfs and change "MissingCrewsRespawn = True" to False
  2. offset mass killed more kerbals than i dare to think built a cool little science lander once and balanced it perfectly out with some fueltanks. the descent worked flawless but i forgot that the tanks would be empty on ascend... needless to say the lander flipped at some point and crashed into the surface...
  3. there is a mod (like always ) http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/cp-airbag-system/ but a stock airbag would be awesome. it would save a good amount of dV when landing on high grav moons.
  4. true, but thats what an early access is. it will come in time. besides, a sandbox is only as good as you are with setting your own goals (plus mods are awesome )
  5. interesting topic! i too have massive framedrops although part count on my ship went down due to the powerful stuff you unlock later on. i will try and delete all my debris and unneeded flights today.

  10. why use a cannon if you have lasers i don't think the orion drive would fit here. we already have the vista and alcubierre drive. the only thing i am missing with this mod is a way to visualize your total dV when using the vista. MJ fails miserably.. ...wasnt there a simple equation somewhere to manually calculate your dV with given wet/dry mass and isp?
  11. until today i thought this mod was too much of a hassle. the parts looked nice, but the theoretical numbers and stats didn't sound that great. and the time to fill up a 2,5m AM tank... omg.. but today, i launched my first AM-Fusion powered craft. its tiny when compared to the standard chemical/Nerva propelled crafts. just completed the burn for jool and it nearly used no fuel at all... seems i still overengineered it. i think it is even fit for a real grande tour. i think, now i love this mod. it is really a step forward when you already have achieved landings on all planets/moons and have bases on duna and laythe. it cuts down travel time and you can concentrate on basebuilding or whatever goals you may set for yourself. thanks zzz and fractal!
  12. i may not know where kerbals are coming from... but as today, i know where they go. today we were in our local supermarket, buying some stuff for the weekend. and then, i saw it... those excellent people are grinding up our little friends and selling them to unsuspecting customers at a cheap pricetag... now that i think of it, i always wondered about that rocketfuel off-tase in our food...

  14. love those shuttle engines! my new B9 style crew shuttle system (two 1-Kerb lander cans clipped into the body. i think we need MK2 styled crew modules!)

  17. long interplanetary burns..... this is the only time i use MechJebs autopilot. speed the game up to 4x physical acceleration and go watch a movie
  18. its great. its one of my used per default mods (besides KWRocketry and B9) texture reduction mods pretty much needed
  19. Interplanetary Vessel KSS Aurora is finally ready to depart. It took 4 launches and some assembly in orbit. I LOVE those new KAS EVA struts!! It has a 3m Nuclear Thermal Rocket bringing this baby up to 8000dV, a Utility Bay with a 1-Kerbal Lander, a Science Lab and much more. In case of emergency my Kerbals can use the front Section as Lifeboat. Docked on the underside is my trusty Kerberos Crew Shuttle (Dragon/Orion Ripoff) in which the Crew arrived.
