Should this get me to Moho and back?

looks a lot like my first manned moho vessel. one orange tank with 2 LV-N and a small lander. it failed because i wasnt able to slow down to get into moho orbit... -
imagine all the crafts we could do with a multithreaded physx enabled x64 physics engine.. i'd gladly pay $10 for that. but i fear squad is not experienced or big enough for a giant step like an engine switch.

the last time i tried to launch a probe on an escape trajectory out of the sun it was simply deleted at some point. it simply vanished when i checked on it. since then i send my voyagers only on a very high elliptic orbit. about 60yrs to AP

this is one of my interplanetary ships, the KSS Bilkis. 3 launches: a lander, a command module and drive section. it visited (and landed on) duna and ike and came back with some dV to spare. i think this thing could reach jool and laythe too. this is the second one, en route to laythe. but the mission is on hold at the moment. because of the offset mass, this thing is a little unwieldy. i think i'll redesign it first. -
yesterday, i installed Kerbal Alarm Clock for the first time. and that was a somewhat bad idea (for my free-time anyways) several hours later i had probes and rovers pretty everywhere in the whole kerbol system . i launched several probes at the same time, finetuned the arrival times with KAC, sometimes with several aerobrakes less than 15mins apart. i think i never was THIS productive before

staying below 2,5gig now (installed all three packs) where before it was around 3,5-3,7 with the occasional freezes. THANK YOU! now i can load em up with even more cool and pointless mods! -

this is my new kethane truck. its a simple and compact package with all tricks and treats needed for missions far away from home. i plan sending it to duna to estabish an outpost there. everything deployed and working hard. -

i usually park mine at 120km the first module is something like a heavy core. a fuel/rcs tank with batterys and a 6port docking node. and all other modules (solar arrays, kehtane converter, habs, labs...) are docked onto this. -

my ships are usually named after minor planets or asteroids or whereever they got their names from.. (Eos, Thekla, Bilkis, Rhea...) probes are named after their target, sometimes with a little sillly sound to it (Adam, DREStroyer, Jooligan, MOHOwk, EELOOminati...) -
hm ok.. the filesize may be smaller, but the ingame memory footprint is bigger than ever. just did some testing. started a fresh KSP install with KWR only (no other mods). this is the KSP.exe memory usage on the title sceen: Stock: 1,48gb KWR 2.4: 1,8gb KWR 2.4+: 1,68gb KWR 2.5: 2,38gb together with my other mods i normally use, its way too much

everybody knows those pretty star trails from star trek. but what would it really look like, looking out a window while traveling with lightspeed? all white? all black? or still the same view you saw when you were accelerating, because you are as fast as the photons out there?

the payload and the capsule is one thing. its something like the dragon or orion spacecraft and is able to return to kerbin in one piece. after fiddling around with h,j and r i got it to work! you can build some awesome crafts with this mod! neat! it works just fine if the base is wider than the top. but when it is the same width, it always gets like this __ O | O | O / instead of O \ O | O /

i love this mod. but it seems i cant get the look i want. i want a bullet like shape, but i only get this ugly edge. is there a trick to this?

i decided to stick to the good old lander-can design and scrap the wings. i easily got some 3500dv out of it. should be enough for laithe. after that. i launched my new interplanetary ship, the KDSS Rhea. it has about 5400dv and can be refueled in orbit. the only thing is.. i forgot to make the probe carrier reloadable...
