  1. Making the bottom texture more plain and/or adding some visible docking clamps/locks to the top, yes.
  2. As a possible future extension to the core game maybe - as a "no return" mission. Would go well with resources (from mods or otherwise) and non-KSC launch pads, basically building up a new VAB as well as gathering the resources needed to do, well, anything at all.

I think I am getting along with my Jool mission finally - the solution for landing on Tylo is not pretty and might rely on TAC Fuel Balancer to work (stacking some extra tanks on top of my expedition lander), but it is a solution ... I think. Now designing the actual ship to get there, and a Kethane miner (that has to weigh the same as the expedition lander to balance everything while docked) just strong enough to get up from Pol and Bop, but will have to be able to return to the ship inside the Jool system on its own, so it will carry a small converter. (Do I even need a big one back on the ship in this case? )
  9. What I only wondered now - does the impact altitude calculate for planet/moon rotation or only check for where the orbit "impacts"?

Landing on the nightside of Mun during my anomaly hunt, misplaced lights earned me nothing, so I was only using a zoomed in SCANsat map, the navball and speed/height readouts of KER - true instrument landing - got me closer than the all daylight landings before ... so close that the arch I was landing next to was illuminated by said misplaced lights ... from below! Takeoff killed my craft because I thought of the arch as terrain scatter and rocketed right into it - twice.
  11. Like we click on VAB/SPH to directly load and launch a craft, let the astronaut complex be clickable to select Kerbals to be "launched". Obviously this would need a limit, say 10 Kerbals with predefined spawn points - to avoid transporter frags.

  13. Not much yesterday, but still took some time. Designed a lander for a Jool expedition (a new one, again) able to land on all moons - for Tylo it will need a top-mounted assist stage for landing, as the dV on the lander is only enough for landing OR takeoff. Kethane refueling will be done by a separate mining-lander drilling into the smaller moons. This might become one of the biggest ships I assembled in KSP.

  16. I think it is just the same old story: The older generation looks down on the hobbies of the next. And it all comes down to personal taste. OK, some cartoons are just silly-funny and maybe appeal more easily to the humor of kids, but other kids movies/TV-shows also carry a message. I am 35 years old and I am dying for Kung Fu Panda 3 to come out already!
  17. For me they have no nations, too. They have provinces, town, villages, settlements with mayors or elders, but they are all Kerbals under two moons. They are not numbered in the billions and not spread really far over Kerbin, some small settlements everywhere of Kerbals driven by their inherent curiosity and urge to explore, turning towards the corners of the land and sea, as the illustrious Kerman folk at KSC turned towards space.
  18. Housekeeping: Got my Kethan Transport from its 80x8000km orbit to dock with my KSS at 300x300 with lots of light aerobreaking for lack of fuel and heat shielding. Landed the Explorer II drive stage next to the Duna Explorer at my Minmus nuke-drive-ship-graveyard. Also checked my Eve probe waiting for its transfer window in LKO and noticed it had way more fuel in the remaining ascend stage still to offer the possibility of an earlier launch - recovering the fuel would be more wasteful than just using it.
  19. Get a second hobby, preferably a physical one and outside. No, I am not 60 years old, but there is scientific proof all around that physical activities are good for our body and mind, also the sight of open land soothes us. So, free your mind - and body - for a few hours.

You might want to read up on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Year_2000_problem and maybe google about more of the predicted mayhem that might have occured - while doomsday was canceled, the worst predictions might actually come true should computers fail world wide for whatever reason. While life might go on without computers and internet - with lots of extra work and complications - without electricity there would not even be fresh water in our cities.

Maybe their peasant revolts all failed and they still live in a monarchy, their religious leaders hold great influence over their royal leaders, their media is completely censored, all their public communication is filtered, every ounce of opposition smothered, the mere thought of other life in the universe a heresy punishable by exile, imprisonment or death?
