  2. Quick check on .24 before I go back to finish my .23.5 save. First rocket after a quick science training on and around the launchpad. Of course it failed!
  3. First reaction: And how would that work?? Then: Ah, OK, go on. Dipping into atmosphere to take readings now works without establishing a suborbital flight path?
  4. Well, if ladders are so easy, go and build a ladder of the size it is that reliably extends on any other planet than your homeworld and folds back to the small pack it is delivered in as well as does not weigh so much as to cost you precious fuel.

  8. Bringing them home? I still have to send more out in .23.5 ! At least five will go to Jool this evening and maybe three are scribbling a Duna Revisited mission in the cantina right now! But in the end they will all be back at KSC.

If I should ever succeed in building a spaceplane that flies (and lands), I will most likely use it - weather I use KAS to refuel and build a crane to put in new payload will be decided if I succeed ... Would adding this to e.g. all parachutes be sufficient to make spent/deorbited stages/vessels recoverable without really adding command authority or more passenger seats?   11. KSP will not support weapons/war ever by Squad, you will need to look to mods for this.

  13. I just rewatched it, seems you are right - but we do not see him how he tried to recover the debris, so maybe recovery from the observatory is broken? Hm ...
  14. I read nothing that says players could not recover every bit of a vessel, just that despawned (due to flying to far away deep in an atmosphere) parts are lost for good. But I agree, that this part of the FAQ can be confusing, but it still does not say anything about debris not being recoverable at all.

  16. It already amazes me how good some are at building spaceplanes, but maybe FAR just makes things a bit to realistic for my abilities. Explorer III has received the three Tylo assist modules for the lander (more fuel and engines for the landing phase to be dropped before touchdown). All fits and is well aligned to not get atomized by the nuke-engines. Next up is refueling and getting some crewmen to accompany the Trio to Jool in some 150+ days at the next launch window. Will launch a probe first and a bit earlier to map out some landing sites; which will also be my first test of the new ion engines. Moho probe still on its way, Eve probe ready in a few hours to depart LKO. Finally I am getting into it again, but I fear .24 will have to wait a bit longer for me.
  17. According to the FAQ nothing should break, even career saves are supposed to be handled fairly well.
  18. The lost kerbals cannot be controlled until the player has been really close to them (source: some preview video). Question is if an LS-mod could exclude crafts not under player control or if mods would even affect them?
  19. Crew management would be logical after .24 I think. Other than that the usual suspects - although I would like to have peek at the current "scope complete" and development road map (I can be very secretive and closemouthed!) - aerodynamics, biomes everywhere, integration of some mod functions (EditorExtensions for starters).
  20. I am not sure, but I think RT2 did something to make a specific functionality of a part only become available after a certain tech was researched. 1. Can this be added to anything in a part.cfg, e.g. could I edit a cockpit to only contain monoprop after RCS has become available? 2. Can other values change with rising tech levels? (e.g. mass, amount of power stored)
  21. Parts will need their monetary values adjusted to fit in (and maybe another value added to them?), some mods might have to include the new engines or fuel containing parts - 64bit might require dual versions from now on, but I am once more all Jon Snow at coding.
