  1. Try keeping the root part far up, possibly the first from the top, at least no more engines and tanks above it?
  2. Spaceport link gives me only 1.2.6 ? Edit: A lie! Only the headline is still 1.2.6 ... Which leaves me puzzled - you did extract the RemoteTech folder from the download into the gamedata folder in KSP? ---------- RE: Flight Computer How can I pre-programme more then one node? And: If I set a node and let him orient my craft to NODE, enter m/s and delay accordingly, it will burn the last couple of dV.
  3. While you are in the code anyway ... Is it possible for PreciseNode to show the orientation of the craft necessary for a burn in the (as of now tidy and half empty) trip window? I am not sure how to make RT2s flight computer to burn different nodes, setting them up in advance.
  4. Please use the link in the first post in this thread to download the up-to-date version of remote tech 2. I have the strong feeling, that you are using the outdated original version.
  5. Not much, flying on the unlucky side at the moment: Sent my long range probe into Kerbol orbit. Not that easy to get a good gravity assist from Mun. As of now no encounter with Duna/Eve. (Cannot remember which way I went in the end, poked my maneuver nodes numerous times to get as far away from Kerbins orbit as possible.) Sucked the science available on the way and around Kerbol dry and unlocked some more parts. Launched a manned Minmus mission, had not enough dV, Minmus insertion stage had to establish parking orbit around Kerbin. Mun was also out of range, so no alternative mission could be done. A mere flyby was deemed a waste of resources. Now waiting for unlock of KAS parts to refuel and continue with mission. Made my 1000th post.
  6. I wont tell you what that word (by pronunciatican only) can (also) mean in German.
  7. Open the .cfg files in RT2 folder and copy a section for a pod, change the name in the copied section to the one you want to add.
  8. Move the science parts down in the tree and maybe change the order in which they are unlocked. Tune down the science gained to rebalance. Switch orbital crew reports and orbital EVAs in regards to biome affinity. (Plunder the community collection of science reports for more stock-delievered diversity, keep it in line with intended/planned background lore/story.)
  9. Click on the RT2 buttons in the orbital map view and look again. Edit: OK.
  10. Geostationary satellites (at the altitude to be geostationary) should be able to connect to each other with either the 5Mm ranged omni-antenna (the smaller one is not sufficient here) or by targeting each other with a dish each. The map shows that the dish(es?) on your satellite is only targeting KSC and that any present (but not visible on your shot) omni-antenna is either out of range of another satellite or not activated. PS: All these RCS ports are a bit overkill, arent they?
  11. Stole an idea I read a few days ago and launched two polar comm satellites in opposing 5000x150km orbits to always have an interplanetary connection. As of now they only have the range to reach Duna, but are equipped with a docking port for upgrades. Launched a new long range probe - this time with a big enough dish ... waiting for optimal position of Mun for gravity assist (and disposal of last stage). Will have to rethink my Duna probe insertion sequence before the launch window comes up in 10 days - seems the assembly of decouplers, fairings, engines and shielding is not optimal. But relaunching a different design is not an option anyway. (Mostly roleplaying this one, as I play without DR.)
  12. Is there a way to tell the MapTraq part to be always on from launch? The parts are still only placeholders - take a look in here for some compatible replacements. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/49233-WIP-Parts-from-my-garden-shed-SCANsat-Antennae
  13. I am using Kethane, City lights and clouds (deleted the lights), Universe Replacer - which are only the mods I would see to be (maybe in combination) possibly responsible for: Zooming out beyond the orbit of Minmus, all orbits disappear and I am left with the SOIs and vessel icons on the map - zooming back in brings them back, but interplanetary maneuvers are impossible to do. Still have to try if it only happens after some time in the game.
  14. It creates one new part, all former individuality is lost, resistance is futile.
  15. As of now KSP does not really have persistence for Kerbals other then names and a few stats.
  16. Yesterday I managed to set up a nice flight computer "program" - I let it burn one node automatically ... - after realizing that I had to set and "enter" the delay before the dV value ... got it right, it worked. It then took me a while, weird burns and two quickloads to learn that I had to "0" the delay again to quit queing my commands and have direct control (I play without lightspeed delay) over my vessel again. What really freaked me out was, that after tweaking the orbits of two of my satellites to the same orbital period, when I rotated them to better face the solar panels to Kerbol, the periods changed again ... !!! Lesson learned: Built your satellites in a way that their solar panels can face the star while pointing prograde, rotate them to do face the star and then play around with the orbital period timing. You are not eating enough fresh food? Can you post a picture of your orbit/map view? Makes it so much easier to judge the situation. Short: Antennas must have each other in range (it is not additive) and there must be free line of sight, no planet/moon inbetween.
  17. I think it is more a representation of the numerous dishes at KSC and not really meant to be one big omni-ant.
  18. Only MM is needed to change some aerodynamic parts such as control surfaces to work with far. Is your second question missing a "with" (FAR-phyisics)? Then no(t really), but FAR comes with optional SAS-like support controlling aerodynamic surfaces to help steering (which is overridden when activating stock SAS).
  19. Every antenna must have the range to reach the other one.
  20. Do drills and converters have to be on the active vessel or is physics range sufficient?
