Now-defunct-thread-that-should-not-appear-in-google-search.
KerbMav replied to Cilph's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
There seems to be trouble with the flight computer side and MechJeb - anything else does not seem to pose a problem. You would have to add the new MODULEs to the antenna and probe core parts of a mod, shouldnt be to hard, take the cfg files as a guideline. -
[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18

As you are already working on an update again, can the automatic AG setting be removed in favor of UI buttons or made optional?- 14,073 replies

Kethane Pack 0.9.2 - New cinematic trailer! - 1.0 compatibility update
KerbMav replied to Majiir's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hope I did not miss it while reading. But did you take a look at the MAPscan mod and how it keeps scanning in the background as long as the active vessel has the scanning MODULE at least in passive mode? -

KerbMav replied to Cilph's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It would simply not be working correctly then, instead of delaying just the visual/video feed, it would delay the whole thing. Delay 10 sec. 0:00 - KSC: command issued and sent 0:10 - Probe: command received, executed and confirmed 0:20 - KSC: confirmation received Doubling the delay would make the probe wait with execution until KSC received the confirmation signal. Which is not how it works in reality or as it would be expected to. First I was not sure if I liked this idea - but then I thought about it some more - makes sense to me now. -

Of course, thousands of players will just deal with randomly overwritten parts from different mods - so that noone can use them anymore - just because you are narrowminded. -

MM changes parts - for RT2 it adds necessary modules to the stock antennas/dishes etc. MM is free to be distributed with other mods, hence nothing in the OP. -

MM now looks for older versions. Do a file search in windows in gamedata and delete old versions - the new one has its version number in the filename. And yes, you need it. -

KerbMav replied to Cilph's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Correct, but because all satellites rotate, simplest way is to: Let orbits around bodies be low enough in orbit to be in range of each others omnidirectional antennes, have their dishes target Mun/Kerbin(Minmus) to bridge that gap by establishing links whenever available, have long range dishes target active vessel. -

KerbMav replied to Cilph's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Only when targeting a planet/moon will the dish try to connect to ANY antenna/dish in range inside the cone. Handy to target all Kerbin satellites from a Munar satellite with the small dish (25 degree cone). -
[1.3.0] Kerbal Engineer Redux 1.1.3.0 (2017-05-28)
KerbMav replied to cybutek's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oh, yeah, exactly. In earlier versions the KER window would collapse while in atmosphere when trying to display the values. -

Does FAR not have its own display of atmospheric efficiency or something? I just tend to keep my vertical speed at 100-200 for the first part of the atmosphere. -

Just have them all at the same speed - use capslock to enable fine control, press with different pressure on the key to fine tune in. Should be enough to have three sats at 800+ km. It is automatically targeted, no visual/3D representation is seen. But the cone only works when targeting planets/moons, targeting a dish at a vessel establishes a link, but only to this one vessel. Making the MechJeb an AI ship computer. -
Kethane Pack 0.9.2 - New cinematic trailer! - 1.0 compatibility update
KerbMav replied to Majiir's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Can I simply delete the old folder and copy over the new without loosing my Kethane deposits as they are? They are saved in the save file, yes? Just to be sure. -

Huh. Yesterday I could run a Goo experiment on my out of range probe, but could not send the data. Thought nothing of it, but now ... ? -

[0.23]asmi's ECLSS Mod (current version - 1.0.15) - Life Support Mod
KerbMav replied to asmi's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases

Are you looking for absolution for something you only have to justify before yourself? If it lets you sleep any better, I am always juggling the thought of welding together a big piece of space station, with only sensitive/problematic parts attached seperately and hack this "lowest of all part counts heap of cyber metal" into orbit with hyperedit. I am also quite sure that I will launch my basic comm sat network for remote tech only so many times by hand, as save breaking patches and game restarts come and go. The orbital period is much more important, even a few hundred meters will not endanger the broadcast of the next Super Kerb season.

Most efficient way to reach Low Kerbol Orbit
KerbMav replied to Tigermisu's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
See table here. "Generated power will also decrease with increasing distance from Kerbol, but rather than following the real-life inverse-square law it experiences a spline curve of 3 piecewise cubics defined from 4 points:" Do not know if this has been changed to a curve by now or if there are mods around doing this for the time being. -

If I add your MODULE as a MapTraq to every command part, my satellites will continue mapping regardless which craft I am flying? -
Now-defunct-thread-that-should-not-appear-in-google-search.
KerbMav replied to Cilph's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Does it loose contact only in the observatory or inflight too? If only in the observatory, then it is because there is no active vessel to target and the dish targeting Kerbin is loosing contact to a long range omni-antenna. Possibly. If the latter, it might be a combination of this and the arc of the KR-14 not being wide enough to hit one of the satellites - but I do not know this dish yet, my engineers are a bit slow on the research tech at the moment.
