thats because the buildings when making something isn't a live view of the world while the space center is. @ OPand i don't remember them promising time change with the SPH and VAB before the update

fire the SRB's!

did Yoda come up with that propaganda xD

time traveling kermunists!

OR....WE ARE THE DICTATOR, and we personally oversee the space program.

unlimited government funding. highly expendable astronauts. numerous test crashes trying anything to get to space. that mustache on Wernher von Kerman. WE ARE THE KERMUNISTS

FTL solutions

personally i think the build-able stargate option is the best but i don't think it should be a stargate. besides obvious copyright issues i think it would work better if it was more like the mass relays in mass effect but a different look. definitely build-able over findable though -
Would you buy expansion packs for KSP? How much?

spelling fail xD, I'll show myself the door.... -

the devs have said one thing that they might eventually do in an expansion pack is colonization. which i would pay 15 or 20 dollars for. -
I personally use steam, it's great and lets me take in-game pictures. plus you could just wait and get it on a steam sale. either way i say just get it on steam

NPC Kerbals at the KSC
skyace65 replied to Stinkk's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
something I'd love to have in addition to walking around the space center. but only once squad fixes a lot more lag issues. mainly the ocean being loaded as a separate planet from kerbin(the game loads 2 planets at once) once that lag gets cut down drastically than i would love this -
the problem isn't that people want more stuff to explore. the problem is people want to be able to have a real extreme endgame goal! having binary star system just doesn't have that same sense of accomplishment compared to having to build up resources and money to be able to go to different solar systems entirely. and I'd also rather not have the timewarp. in a way it just makes things seem almost boring that while this is taking forever nothing is happening in the main system.

bigger doesn't always equal better.

what I'm thinking is for an entry and exit type thing(like a stargate). I would prefer that to building individual relays which seems like something way too complicated and time consuming depending on how you do it. though the problem with this stuff right now is since we are in alpha most of the games complexity is still too come so it's hard to judge what would be too hard. here is how i would imagine it working for an entry and exit system. you have to get a lot of research money to build the relay/whatever device but it only works one way. you can keep sending out probes and by doing so with the tech tree once you have been too enough systems with probes you than can unlock the ability to build a second relay on the other side to send ships back and forward.(and it would be much cheaper than the first time) and just keep doing that with each system. though this kind of implementation would only work well if we were talking about interplanetary travel with just a handful of star systems (10 or less) if the devs did something with procedural generation(which i would hate) than we would need a different system

in all honesty I think an answer depends on the state of shipbuilding at the point in time when we can discuss it. right now with the parts we have we can come to 1 conclusion, but once we have fully fleshed out part options and maybe even a new type of ship or command modules(though not likely) or the ability to have some sort of space center upgrade to build ships in orbit. with the limited amount of parts right now some kind of hyper drive or warp drive would seem like the obvious solution. depending on the parts we have access too in the future we could come to a completely different conclusion. if we have some really powerful engines we might not need a hyper drive if we could come to some kind of solution to time being slow when traveling. also worth noting is how many solar systems there would be, assuming just 1 hyper drive might now be necessary(again if we can come up with some solution to the time problem) but if we have 3 or more, hyper drive would be a must especially if you would have to go from 1 star to the next to the next. EDIT: another thing i just thought of is a researchable mass effect relay type machine. make it 1 of the top tiered things in the tech tree if not the top and extremely expensive. maybe even require some resource missions to eve or duna. plus than it wouldn't be as overpowered as a manually flyable FLT drive or something like that.(not saying a FLT drive would have to be manual, it could be implemented in any kind of way)
-
no no no, NO! sorry but I don't want to have to test fly all of my rockets just for stability, it's just a waste of time when i already have to much to do with preparation. and normal rocket testing i already have to do now
-
I'll be disappointed if it's only parts we can research and not technology like fuel efficency, or more structural stability, stuff like that. though based on what harvesteR has said hopefully that will be implemented in the future. and i have to say it was kind of surprising to see us get a new research building now, I was kinda expecting us to get mission control usability first. though that could still come in this update.

Performance Issues Need Addressed
skyace65 replied to Caelib's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
the game does need some optimization. most notably making kerbin only load is 1 planet. the whole thing loads as 2 planets, 1 for terrain, the other for water. if that got fixed lag would be drastically reduced. the devs have said that they are aware of it but we still haven't had it fixed yet -
Features you are not looking forward to/dreading.
skyace65 replied to PwnedDuck's topic in KSP1 Discussion
aerodynamics depending on how it's implemented. I'm hoping that adding stuff like aerodynamic nose cones will make my rockets go faster than before but I'm wary that the weight will slow down my rockets instead -
A suggestion for the new Space Center
skyace65 replied to tygoo7's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
yeah it's like that because the VAB and SPH aren't persistant like your view of the space center is, your not getting a real time look at the world. they could fix it but I'd rather they do some more game optimizations first, and I really hope next update they fix the ocean and kerbin being 2 separate planets, that would stop so much lag. until than I'd rather not have the game tracking another thing in the background. I mean in theory they could edit the SPH and VAB models so that the inside of them is part of the model and have rocket building take place there, but that would take so much effort I think it's something that should be done during the beta -
can you rotate a docked space statoin piece?
skyace65 replied to skyace65's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
thanks for the help , but I don't think I'll use lazor, I usually prefer to not play with mods if possible. -
than that's your own problem. end flight in .20 didn't save what kerbalnauts you have and neither does .21, you'll just have to either end the flight or launch a rescue mission. I believe eventually kerbalnauts that have died will eventually reappear in your roster, but it will take longer than orange suits do to come back.

Is the KSP Community more friendly then the Minecraft community?
skyace65 replied to FiresThatBurn's topic in KSP1 Discussion
yeah this is sadly a problem with many online forums. for instance, on the sega forums someone can go ranting on about how xbox360 and PS4 are just for CoD and (insert generic xbox is only for shooters comment) but I'm not allowed to call them out as an idiot when plenty of non shooters are successful on xbox EDIT: another thing that makes this place better, you can't afford to be a D-bag to other players because this is the type of game especially with how little the tutorials cover where you will need to ask the community for help
