The best way to save battery time is to stopping unneeded apps from running in the background. This link explains how to do that: https://www.androidpit.com/how-to-stop-apps-running-in-the-background-on-android Also don't forget to close applications after you use them or the phone. If you really want an app then go for "Advanced Task Killer", but be sure to not have it run in the background.

A video Horizontally aligned and stabilized rocket size video of CRS-7. True, entertainment is important, and life would be duller without it, but it doesn't help humanity advance. Sure it can inspire people to make decisions that changes a persons life and through that others. But if we didn't have football then we wouldn't be worse off.

www.badtranslator.com is a nice tool for this thread, although it doesn't translate using google translate. It has 3 translate engine options and it can be set to 43 (max) translation, 43 being back to English. Still SpaceX has made greater strides than any other attempt.

Sure it has been studied and applied in some form, but SpaceX is trying it in a different way. Perfect one step before going to the next. This is a much better approach than designing a reusable vehicle and launch the whole system at once. An other thing which helps is that SpaceX has the lowest price per launch. The point is a new company enters the market with a low cost launcher and are successfully exploring reusablity and suddenly every other company wants to walk that path too. Why would fanboyism for a football team be OK? It's only a form of entertainment and doesn't help humanity. Also, SpaceX fanboys don't get into a fist fight with ULA fanboys or cause vandalism in the name of space exploration. So why is it so annoying? It's just someone who likes a product/company/person.

Why would you need to disassemble the first stage, check the components and resemble with possible new parts? Wouldn't a static fire and all the sensors in rocket be enough?

1. The infrastructure for oil retrieving, shipping, refining and distribution need to be intact. It's highly unlikely to be intact in a post apocalyptic world. They could of course run on methanol or alcohol, but that still takes a lot of work in a world where there are no rules. 2. Combustion engines need maintenance, you can't expect it to run for without breaking down in a hostile environment let alone last for 50-100 years. Spare parts will be scares or non-existent. 3. Look at 2. For example: rubber hoses aren't easy to make, or at all, without a machine let alone in a dusty environment. 4. See 2 again. After a few years in post-apocalyptic time there wont be any gas left. As it's being used up or will be degraded to a point where it's unusable.

It's based off the ERV from the Mars Direct plan, which (IIRC) would make all it's propellant(and more for the rovers) within 6 months.

Some devices are almost perfect and the chance of it failing could be a percentage smaller than 1. But there are enough devices, look at the Xbox 360 and PS4, which have a high percentage of failing. Some phones fail if you drop them others can be run over by a truck and still work like intended. Still, these things don't have to endure internal and external pressure, extreme temperatures, etc. etc. The good thing is that the F9 is not mass mass produced yet.

So if I'm correctly "reading between the lines" there won't be a September launch of the Dragon if SpaceX can't figure out what happened today. Is that about right?
