Unfortunately, I'm already on 1.3. I *could* go back to 1.2.2, but my internet is slow, so I'd rather not thanks for the idea though

Half the challenge is getting to Duna though. I tend to spend too much time making fancy satellites at Kerbin for money, and then have no money to upgrade my buildings, so I can't launch larger ships, so I can't take on bigger contracts... you can see where this is going.

HAH GOT EEM! @ZooNamedGames
-
Oh yes! To be honest, I didn't even think of the landing and orbiting as goals. I need to go outside more... outside the Kerbin system that is. A very nice start to THE MIGHTY LIST!

@Talavar If you know so much about making a multiplayer mode for KSP, why don't you join the dev team? In all seriousness, there are tonnes of issues that plague the possibility of KSP-MP, many of which have already been discussed (in some way) here. It isn't feasible with the current state of the game, the current state of mod/file control, the current state of the development team, and most importantly the current state of the community - while the community is divided as it is over the possibility of multiplayer, why would SQUAD put resources towards implementing it? They'd be much better off implementing resources towards, oh I dunno, fixing bugs maybe? Increasing their target audience by adding localization? Increasing their target audience by releasing the game on console? At the end of the day, SQUAD is a business. It's like seeing those cheesy, 3 minute ads on TV about those weird kitchen appliances - buy one now, and get this weird kitchen appliance holder FREE! In a sense, this is what SQUAD has to do to stay alive - buy this game now, and get these extra official contracts and parts in this DLC for a small payment of only $x.xx. And on a level, I have a bit of empathy with SQUAD, but I digress. At the end of the day, SQUAD ultimately decides what they do or do not want to do with the game. They're a business, and they need to make money. Why don't you make a huge game, with millions of downloads, with no income. You won't have motivation, you won't dedicate time, and your game won't make it past alpha. Either that, or your game will suck REALLY bad. My 2c.

So I've haven't played KSP for quite some time - I used to play religiously, but things got in the way, and KSP lost its charm. After about 5-6 months of launching the game maybe once or twice, I've decided to finally come back into the game and work like I used to on it (hint, I used to play it 4+ hours every day, 7 days a week. Calling me a 'fan' would be an understatement). But to be completely honest, I'm a bit lost with what I should work on after coming back into the game after so long. I was thinking starting some ship building series perhaps, blogging on my creations and building tips, or perhaps creating my own craft thread in the spacecraft exchange section of the forum. Outside of 'creative' works, I was thinking perhaps just playing some career mode to get back into the game, before going into sandbox and doing exploring like I used too. Despite how much I've played the game, I've never really left the Kerbin system - I've orbited Duna and returned. That's all the inter-planetary experience I've had. So, community - help me decide what I should do! Any tips or ideas would be cool. I might even make a list of everything everyone recommends, and cross them off when I complete them. THE MIGHTY LIST TO RULE THEM ALL Get into orbit around Kerbol. Probably do some science, that'd be helpful too. Unless you're dumb, then... well, don't do science Orbit Duna, and land on it with a one-way probe ticket. Tickets start at 9.99, get yours before they sell out. Rinse and repeat the one-way probe, but with Eve, Ike, and Gilly. Tickets are also 9.99, probably won't be selling out. Maybe collect science on the way too... Manned return mission to Duna! But wait, there's more... Orbit a fuel tanker around Duna - preferably do that before you land. Otherwise, you know, it won't be a return mission no more. Flyby Moho, and if you're daring, orbit it. Flyby everything at the same time! Just kidding, but flyby as many things as you can at the same time. Maybe do something like Mun -> Minmus -> Duna -> Ike? Start a mining mission on the Mun. Step 1: Mine Ore. Step 2: Transport Ore. Step 3: ??? Step 4: Profit. Look at the Strategia mod... seems like a good strategy MOONBASE ALPHA! Lez' go Manned mission to Dres. Because why not. Manned mission to Moho. Mo Ho Ho! (Like Santa, but with a moe) Laythe and Eve gliders. The one glider (or two) to rule them all. Capture an asteroid and build a refueling outpost. Gotta catch em' all! Aerial refuelling Visit Jool and stuff... THE MIGHTY MOD LIST KIS/KAS, USI KER SCANSat Strategia Community Resource Pack KScale (?)

The Name Change Thread (WARNING! ONE TIME ONLY!)
Bilfr3d replied to Souper's topic in Kerbal Network
After coming back to the forums after quite a long break, I figured I'd get a refresher in names too. If possible (I'm 99% sure I haven't changed my name already), I'd like to have my name changed to 'Bilfred'. Thanks! -
I've now closed the survey with a total of 25 responses. For those of you interested, the responses are as follows: - 64% of those who answered prefer to browse with their desktop - 44% prefer to use Google Chrome (only 12% use IE/Edge) - 48% have a screen larger than 1920px (width), indicating that about half have a 1080p screen - 76% browse with the window maximised, but not fullscreen - When someone recommends a website to them, there is about a 54% chance that they'll visit it - The navigation of a website is quite important, scoring a 7.4/10 - By comparison, colours are important, but not make or break - only scoring 5.2/10 Thanks to all those who answered, the link for the GitHub repo probably won't be up for awhile (lazy teachers)
-
Tor Browser is based off of Firefox, so it doesn't REALLY matter too much as the only real reason for that part is for compatibility between browsers. From what I've seen so far, I'm going to be able to cleanly remove support for IE/Edge as they don't really control much of the share of answers at the moment; especially with the most used browser. So it doesn't REALLY matter, I'm only focusing on the more common ones that 'common folk' use. Thanks for answering as well!

Actually, now that you mention it, I won't be providing a link to the website as such - but I will upload the source for the 'template' webpage onto my Github (the repository for which I will link once the project has been completed and assessed). The page will pretty much include all the sections and other components that I've used among all the pages, but in one page. Thanks
-
I couldn't see anything against the rules for this, so I thought 'Why not?' Anyway, pretty much I'm doing a project for a course at the moment which requires me to complete a full website, from design to implementation. Through this design I need some good old research. Which is why I've created the below survey. It's a couple of question about browsers, devices and what's important to you (the user) in a website. Don't fear, I've turned on anonymous responses so no IPs or data is logged. I'd greatly appreciate if as many people as possible complete the survey, and try spreading it to some of your friends too! Thanks all who answer the survey, the link is below. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/F8WNH72 THE SURVEY IS NOW CLOSED UPDATE: I'll also be linking here a repository to my Github for a basic 'template' page of the completed website - the page will pretty much include all sections and components used in the website, but in one page. There won't be any logos and the fonts I've used won't be included (as they're not for distribution, but free to use commercially), however I will link the fonts I've used in the README of the repository. The source will also be licensed, and the specific license used will be detailed on the repository (as well as additional requirements for use).

Nope nope nope What about @legoclone09 , it isn't fair. You get your post and I want my share?

There are 13 lines in your reply (not counting empty lines). There are 69 words in your reply There are 317 characters (with no spaces) in your reply. 13 .. 69 .. 317 has a change of 56 and 248 respectively. 56 + 248 = 304 r = sqrt(56^2 + 248^2 + 304^2) = 396.3029 Resolve the number to an integer = 396 3, 9 and 6 are all multiples of 3. A triangle has three sides. The illuminati is a triangle. Therefore, you are illuminati. COMPLICATED APPROACH Resolve the decimal of r to its own integer; we now have integers 396 and 3029. Divide 3029 by 396 = 7.6489 (recurring 89). In this sequence, the numbers 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9 are present. Multiplying these numbers together gives us 12096. There are a total of 5 numbers with a recurring aspect, which makes 6 aspects in the above sequence. Let a = (120 - 96) * 6 = 144 Let b = 120 * 96 = 11520 a/b = 80 The binary string: 01001001 01001100 01001100 01010101 01001101 01001001 01001110 01000001 01010100 01001001 has a total of 80 characters, not including white spaces. The above binary string, converting binary to integer forms: 73 76 76 85 77 73 78 65 84 73 The above string of integers, converted to ascii texts, forms the letters: I L L U M I N A T I Therefore, you are the ILLUMINATI

The tenth one Are the walls lonely or are you lonely? I rate 40/100, atleast you're near some food
-
4/10 It could be that profile picture that reminds me... either way I think I've seen you before This might fall on my face seeing as I've barely been on the forums the past couple months. R.I.P

5/10. I don't know what snacks are there. 10/10 if there's anything that contains bacon

I'm obviously going to... not press the button, because I don't feel like candy right now. You can keep the half decent candy... your gift. Oh but look, a wild button has appeared. You can use "Press the button" to be super effective and get every game on Steam sent to you as a gift. But you can only have one installed at a time, and your internet is really slow. REALLLYYYY SLOW.
-
megaBYTES per second or megaBITS per second? Remember they're two very (slightly) different things, so make sure you know which one you're using before letting us drown in jealousy. For the record @kiwi1960, 20 megabits per second is around 2.5 megabytes per second. Still faster than most of Australia, but not leaving us in the dirt xD Meanwhile, another Aussie here suffering from the clutches of 100 kilobytes per second internet... and 30% packet loss. Such is life. Such is Telstra.
-
I could. But not if I'm advertising the opportunity through these forums here, as one of the mods has also stated. That's also not an option in any case, due to obvious budget limitations which is why I'm going to open communities in the first place. Cool. If I'm not paying them, they can 'wonder off' any time they want. It's not like a beta test is a binding contract (most of the time). Cool, I'll be sure not to ask you for help. There's how ever many million people left on the internet to ask. ANYWAY, I'll most likely be making a development thread here in the off-topics lounge soon(tm) about my amazingly horrible game that I'm going to be making, that's going to 'wow' no one and make everyone 'get bored and wonder off.' soon(tm) being within the next couple of month. events and other stuff are delaying this. such is life

I've never seen programmers heaven before, thanks for the link. I'm not particularly looking for a 'serious' group as such, more so I guess a more community-knit group (such is the KSP forums/community). If I have blessings from @Vanamonde then nothing can stop me now *evil cackling* Seriously though, having a mod comment on this makes it much more justifiable for me Maybe I could even make a 'development' thread here in the lounge? :0 then SQUAD will find it... see how amazing I am... then hire me! Don't hurt me SQUAD, SQUAD is love, SQUAD is life
