  1. I just watched Ender's Game a few days ago. I cracked a bit of a grin during the "Basic Rocket Science" bit.
  2. .23 could be out in mere days. tweakables will allow you to empty any tank you like.
  3. I believe one of the polar mun monoliths is floating like 1-2 km up from the base of one of the mun holes. It's really hard to spot. I've never been to it personally but there was a thread about it a while back. I don't remember if it was south or north... or even if there is one at both poles?
  4. Sandbox will be safe. Career will probably be safe but could be broken. They're making most of the changes we see to career so... but they didn't say they were changing around the tech tree and doing that is the only thing I can think of that would break career saves. Then they were doing all sorts of under the hood optimizations so who knows what that could effect. I for one would like an updated list of .23s planned features and a word on save breaking or not. I expect not but am ok with it breaking. I basically restart a game every version anyway.
  5. just FYI everything posted to the tumbler is also posted here on the forums. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/forums/70-The-Daily-Kerbal
  6. I changed flight plans due to this. I was going to be flying in the 12th. I moved it up a day so I'd be somewhere with internet.
  7. training kerbals is supposed to be added at some point. They could always change their minds of course but if they don't we'll be able to train our kerbals to do things. There may or may not be a class system as part of that. Personally I'd prefer there not to be any classes and just have skills you can mix and match.
  8. yeah... because of the way planets are made you can't really have caves in them as I understand it. If they want to have caves they would need to put a "building" that looks like a mountain on there and then have caves in that.
  9. because it was "now" when it was written a year ago. How is this hard to understand?
  10. at a guess... I'd say it's because it's still that way from the last one and haven't updated the site for the upcoming one yet.
  11. was a bug. was kept because it's humorous. not all bugs need be bad things...
  12. I admire your bravery... but... I have never managed to get multiple ports to connect properly and it only gets harder as you increase the number of ports. It is far more easy to just use the a Sr port.
  13. Like always... Resources... Structures like the VAB and the launch platform with their functions to be able to be built in orbit and on other planets... What I actually expect... Career mode missions and monetary system.
  14. currently you can spam transmissions 10... 20 times for no data loss. However you will not be able to do that in .23
  15. I suggest you check out Duna... in particular a rather odd hill... turn your volume up.
  16. Haven't watched the video... From your description I'd say you have too much thrust and not enough control mechanisms. Use fins on low stages that are still in the atmosphere. Use SAS for control out of the atmosphere. Engines with thrust vectoring help a lot in all situations. As I have no idea what your ship looks like I'm just giving some general ship design guidelines.
  17. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/forums/58-Support-Bugs The game sends some data back to them if you allowed it to. I suspect that crash reports would be a part of that but if you want to be sure you can post in that forum I linked. If you're good at finding bugs you can also report them there but remember only modless games count for reporting bugs.
  18. The trick as I understand it is to get everything perfectly lined up so they all connect at the exact same time. If they are even slightly out of alignments then only the first one will actually connect.
  19. Could be measuring impacts. The Mun readings definitely indicate impacts... and Minmus should not be immune to them. It's also way smaller than the Mun... and there's no giant planet around to heat it with tidal forces... it would have to be a solid rock under whatever that surface is made of. Quakes in and of themselves do not indicate a liquid core or mantel. The change in velocity of the waves passing through our core is how we know it's there. Quakes do not have to be caused by tectonic activities.
  20. you aren't saving anything then... you in fact expended more Dv than you otherwise would have spent just to get into minmus orbit.
