  1. You can't post pictures from your harddrive. I suggest getting a picture sharing site to do it from. Imgur is a pretty popular one and really simple to use.
  2. Not required but it is like eating Oreos without milk or cake without frosting!
  3. From left to right. Mig-21, Drakken, F-101 Voodoo, F8 Crusader or a Mig-19 or Electric Lightning, Hard to tell on the last one due to the angle.
  4. As for payloads that large, you will definatly want to switch to an inclosed cargobay like the ones in B9 expecially if you are going to use FAR. I run FAR, and have had quite a bit of experience designing SSTOs in FAR. I have put over 120tons into orbit inside the cargobay of one of my largest SSTOs.
  5. I run FAR and DRE, have since I started over a year and change ago. All I do is SSTOs, and I can tell you a thing or two about DRE and FAR. As far as climbing to orbit and burning up, Wanderfound is dead on, you are going to fast to low. Climb to over 12km before you start to go supersonic, and you should ideally be over 20km before you go hypersonic. I am usually going mach 3 by the time I hit 20km, and mach 5 around 25km. My hull temps rarely climb over 900deg during the ascent.
  6. Kind of funny Farrem I just did a pic like that for my new fleet of SSTO combat craft. Oddly enough they are all FAR craft, and work quite well.
  7. Hodo Aerospace Research & Munitions, or HARM for short has gone through a minor restructuring and is now going to start to release some of their combat SSTO craft. List of mods required will be as follows. -BDArmory -FAR -Procedural Wings -RetroFuture -MechJeb -B9 -Tac Life Support -BD Lightning cockpit. Highly Suggested mods -TAC Fuel Balancer In order from left to right. F/A-106 Thundergod, F-114 Falx, F/A-113 Falcata, FB-1 Pugio F/A-106A Thundergod. 8. Its from the Kerbinside plugin. Adds lots of stuff including other launch sites and buildings around KSC.
  9. You have Mechjeb? If not I can take the MJ module off, I think that is what is causing the issue. It has no affect on the crafts performance.
  10. That is funny I cant say I have had those issues on any of my craft that are delta wings. This old F-21 of mine flew fine even in the latest versions of FAR. And it is definately a full body deltawing.
  11. Are you sure you are reading that right, and not reading the AoA display in the FAR statistics tool. You want to use the "Sweep Mach" tab not the "Sweep AoA". The CoL should shift back at supersonic speeds.
  12. It is a good looking craft, but it isn't something I can use, and most likely wont work in FAR. With that said, 220m/s is not that fast. It is about 2/3rds the speed of sound.
  13. hmm odd. I have only had this issue be a graphical issue not so much an actual problem in game. What version of FAR are you using?
  14. The mass settings in FAR also increase the wings attachment strength. Which is handy. I generally dont use it much, I adjust the mass down to .6 and then use my hidden strut method of strengthening a wing. It increases the parts count but it isnt that bad, I think I use on average 6 struts per wing.
  15. Very true on the hiding them issues. It is a bit easier for me, because of Procedural Wings and the B9 invisible struts. I just decrease the thickness of the wings and attach the struts then increase the thickness over them so they are hidden. One of these days I will mess around with the wing mass/strength settings in FAR, but for the most part I just reduce them down to .6 and leave them there.
  16. Almost was hoping someone had revived the old Dakkar Rally challange. But I am sure I could do this with a new improved vehicle. My old one the Amphib-1 drove from KSC, to the Inland "Old" KSC.
  17. Sorry to hear that, I never tried NEAR, by the time it came out I had a pretty good grasp on how to create very effective lawn darts in FAR.
  18. Ok I see, just seems a bit overly complicated to me, but it works. As for leaving the RAPIERs to autoswitch is a problem with them in pairs, they tend to flameout asymetrically. So I set them to an action group and do it manually. I leave them set to auto, but I just do it manually once the air requirement drops to 110% in the FAR display. As for struting the wings, I do it out of habbit now, and because I occassionally like my small craft to be able to pull a sustained 9G turn.
  19. No problem, I love planes and I am always willing to help when I can with them.
  20. Ok having watched your slide show, I didn't get to see any of the notations which is a shame. But I did watch it for the most part. I have a few questions. Why didn't you strut your wings? Why do you have your shock cone intakes set to a different actiong group then the RAPIERs switch mode action group? I have found it a bit better and simpler to tie the two together, that way I don't have to worry about closing them, they automatically close when the SABRE/RAPIER changes from open cycle to closed.
  21. You are talking about in the SPH, when you attach a wing or something the CoL shifts to one side? If so that is a minor bug, it often has no affect on the actual flight performance of the craft. You can check the numbers in the FAR testing graphs the craft will fly fine.
  22. The other thing I can see is your CoT being below your CoM. This would cause the craft to push the nose up, and at higher altitudes the air is so thin the control surfaces dont have the force they had at lower altitudes, thus causing you to lose pitch control. EDIT- The otherthing it could be is as MAKC said in his post. Looking at the graph it looks like that is the most likely cuprit.
  23. The problem I am seeing with your craft is the CoM is shifting as the fuel drains. That is a classic case of the nose becoming to light. I can tell you one way to counter this problem without a new parts mod or a crazy amount of fuel line routing. TAC Fuel Balancer, it is a life saver for SSTOs, VTOLs, and aircraft in general in FAR.
  24. To help you out a bit the way they are set up is like this. The leading edge are slats, they should only be setup as flaps in FAR. They shouldn't affect pitch or roll they are only there for landing and take off, and for low speed flight. You will also want to reduce the angle which they extend down to, they are pretty shallow on the extensions on those. But to find out just look up F/A-18 wing slats.
