  1. I think I only installed the .dll and missed the rest of it. Still at a loss for my Procedural Wings problem though. It is like they reverted back to a previous version. I can't set the root size or change the size on the procedural control surfaces other than length and and one sides width. Get an error in the output log saying that FAR doesn't reconize the 4m B9 control surface Procedural part..... It is odd. No other faults in the output log.
  2. Thanks I will try that when I am at home, I am sure that is what I did. +1 rep!
  3. Ok I am having a few problems with my recent install of RO. I am running RSS 6.x with the real sized Earth system and the planet factory planets. Other than some minor issues with Pwings, where my control surfaces don't adjust completely, press G and I can change the length, T and I can change one sides width, but when I hit R it does NOTHING, but I will figure that out. The problem I am having is with RT2 in RO, for some reason it is not seeing RT2. It is giving me no faults in the output log that I can find, but it is showing purple boxes in place of the RT2 icons. And none of the antenna are showing in the parts catalog. It also has given me two sets of B9 parts yet online 1 B9 is installed.
  4. A few questions about intake size and such. Now that intakes are back, what is the inlet size requirements and how do I calculate this before launching an aircraft?
  5. RT2 for some reason is not working with my RSS RO install. I am not sure why, but I have purple/pink squares where there should be RT2 icons. Possibly the MM isn't reading it right?
  6. I got bored with the stock sized Kerbin, so I went RSS with full Realism Overhaul. I enjoy the game again, but it is frustrating to no end trying to build a SSTO in it.
  7. I would rather have the real planets then more skins for the already stock planets. I think there are a half dozen skins and retextures of the existing planets.
  8. I have three that are my favorites. SP-406 my heavy lifter at 108tons. SVO-25 Bison II my medium lifter VTOL. And, ASP-3 SSTO Strike craft.
  9. Absolutely love it! Outstanding! The OP may not score it because it has Lazer Tech weapons on it. You always make the coolest stuff!
  10. This would be fun to try with AJE....lol
  11. Does anyone have the cfg file for RT2 with all the ground stations that are actually on Earth?
  12. Trying that link you have given and see if that fixes it.
  13. Yep confirmed TAC Fuel Balancer does not work for some reason. I had it working before I uninstalled everything and reinstalled KSP.
  14. There is a fix for them in the B9 fixes thread. Bac9 said that he had set the sideways stiffness wrong... it is supposed to be 0.01 not 2.00.
  15. I build most of my space planes that go to other worlds with the ability to land as VTOLs. This helps a great deal and makes more sense as I dont have to worry about finding a suitable landing strip of several hundred meters when I only need an area the size of the craft to set it down. As seen below, a SSTO VTOL Space plane. And the later variation that landed on Ike.
  16. This right here. Currently the US Army's 82nd Airborne has a 24hour deployment ability. That means ANYWHERE in the world in 24hours. Imagine being able to cut that down to 12, or even 4 hours. Things like the attack on the Isreali Olympic team back in the 70s near impossible, or the ability to capture a high profile target without them having time to evade. Or the projection of force that would give you as a nation. This is what would fuel the SSTO market, more than the civilian market. While they would help they would not be the primary supporters. They would benefit from the technological gains but at first it would be for only the wealthy jet setters. I can imagine some major mega corp CEO would use this for no other reason then to better micro manage their assets.
  17. The E-2 looks good. The C-17 not so much... Should have used the B9 large cockpit for that one, and the B9 landing gear to tuck them away once it is off the ground.
  18. Your decent is to steep. Your PE is to low, set it to 25KM like others have said. FAR should not have an affect on re-entry heat.
  19. In the stock KSP they have no use. But once you start adding more realism to your game then they start finding a use. Especially with Mission Controller and dealing with costs. While rockets are cheap, they can add up in cost, a SSTO is cheaper in the long run, more so if it is recoverable and reusable. I know in the Reusable space program challenge, I used a SSTO space plane that built a space station in 4 launches. It was only loaded once from the SPH, after that it stayed in the game world, never recovered. It was loaded with the new module after every mission from a loading crane. The cost savings was quite a chunk. Went from over 500mil to launch this station to under 300mil. That is a HUGE chunk. But in the stock KSP SSTOs are pointless, but so is anything that flies.
  20. People once said that no one would pay to fly in a plane across the Atlantic they would rather take the cheaper more luxurious route of the boat. Well how many people do you know now days who takes a boat across the ocean to go anywhere? Most people I know fly, why? Because it is cheaper now. It is cheaper because of mass production and the reduction in cost on aircraft parts and labor. This has carried over to the mail industry. Most freight under a certain weight is usually sent by air now, why because it is faster and cheaper then by sea.
  21. Ok simple. You should as others have said drop the rapiers in favor of the Rockomax 48-7S, they are just better for this application. Unless you drop the turbojet instead, then I would put a single LV909 back there and two ramjet engines in place of the rapiers. This would give you more in atmosphere speed and power but still giving you decent ISP and thrust in space. The other thing is your accent profile is probably to aggressive, you should go for as much speed as you can on jet engines before switching over to rockets. On average I would get to mach 4.5 before I even considered switching to rockets and burning to orbit.
  22. I have several questions before I can help out. Are you using FAR? Are you using DRE? Do you have TAC Fuel Balancer? Depending on your answers will dictate what my suggestions will be.
  23. They can't be if your craft is flipping out.
