  1. Snark, Thank you, I had no idea the information on there was so outdated.
  2. Check out this vid. U could do something similar. SLS booster and Apollo like upper stage.
  3. Max, Have you considered doing a low orbital assembly of the rocket needed? In other words you could launch it in sections and assemble in space like the space station, this would cut down the size of the launch vehicles needed. Just a thought. Goodluck.
  4. Hello, Found this on the wiki. Apparently even scientists outside the lab contribute. Scroll to "Data Processing Rate" section. http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Mobile_Processing_Lab_MPL-LG-2#Data_Processing_Rate
  5. Made a stock version of the SLS and then modified it to carry a command module and lander for a Mun mission. Enjoy!
  6. Hello Jas1126, Not sure if this is what your looking for, but this should help! Goodluck!
  7. SpaceyCLE, I can totally relate. I found myself learning how to calculate TWR and Delta V on paper for fun! If you want some more in-depth training than what the built-in tutorials can offer then I would definitely check out channel for his tutorial vids. I've learned everything from him. Now I find making manned trips to Duna and back as easy as getting to the Mun.Good luck and Safe Travels! X
  8. Hi, I just recently watched , I think it will help. But basically u need to have your orbit inside your target planets orbit. Goodluck!
  9. I launched a small Ion powered probe and slowly brought my closes approach to the sun to about 7 and half million KM and that did it.
  10. There is no easy way of calculating that. You do have a couple of options. 1. You can make dummy payloads of different weights and then use Kerbal Engineer to check the dv/TWR numbers it generates. 2. You can use this Rocket Calculator to see the payload capabilities of different rocket designs. 3. You can calculate it yourslef using the Tsiolkovsky rocket equation to figure it out. (lots of crazy math) Good Luck!
  11. Thank you! Glad you like it! It comes with the one shown in the images but if you ever need more or if you would like me to recreate some of its real payloads i can. Thank you for the Rep!
  12. The easiest way is to make sure that Duna is 45 degrees behind Kerbin along their orbits then preform your escape burn on the side of Kerbin opposite the sun. Check THIS SITE out for a little more detail but still easy to understand, also has a calculator that will help you find the exact time and place to burn along your orbit. Hope that helps! Goodluck!
  13. So the latest launch of the Ariane 5 inspired me to recreate the heavy-lift workhorse. I hope you enjoy the craft as much as I do. Download Here: MoonMans Ariane-5
  14. Yes, when in the SPH or VAB just right click on any light and you can change the RGB values as kyyscv said. Thank you! and glad you enjoyed!
  15. My newest creation is an SSTO which can deliver a small payload into LKO. Easy to fly, gets into LKO with fuel to spare. Pics, vids, and download below. Enjoy! Craft: RaptorX-22 My attempt at making a simple SSTO that is easy to fly. Features a cargo bay and can deliver a small payload int LKO. Hope you enjoy. Toggle Jet Engines. 3. Toggle Antennas. 4. Toggle Solar Panels. 5. Toggle Cargo Bay Door. Ascent Guide: 1. Activate first stage. 2. Throttle up to 100%. 3. Once speed has reached 90 m/s pull back and liftoff. 4. Pitch to 45 degrees above the horizon. 5. Climb to 10,000 m then pitch down to 25 degrees. 6. Climb to 15,000 m then pitch down to 20 degrees. 7. Once you have reached 21,000 m, activate action group 1 to switch main engine mode. 8. Continue to 24,000 m, then activate action group 2 to disable jet engines. Immediately pitch up to 45 degrees. 9. Continue until Apoapsis reaches 60,000 m then aim prograde. 10. Once Apoapsis reaches apprx 73,000 m, then cut throttle to 0. 11. Coast to Apoasis then execute circularization burn. 12. Activate action groups 3 and 4 to deploy solar panels and antennas. Descent Guide: 1. Execute retrograde burn. 2. Activate action groups 3 and 4 to retract solar panels and antennas. Orbital Maneuvering System (OMS): Stage 2 activates the OMS. This can be used as an extra boost when getting a heavier payload into orbit or to achieve higher orbits. _________________________________________ Kerbal Space Program - Developed by Squad - www.kerbalspaceprogram.com
  16. If mean a Kerbal on EVA then the same "[" and "]", will toggle between which Kerbal you on controlling. You can also select any object in the map and select "switch to". Goodluck!
  17. Hello, 1. When you dock 2 vessels together the game then views it as a single spacecraft. Only once the vessels have been merged cab you transfer fuel. To do this, simply select a tank that contains fuel you want to transfer by holding alt then clicking it. Then select the second tank you would like to transfer with by again holding alt and clicking the second tank. This will make the transfer "in" and "out" buttons appear. 2. Once the station is one vessle then it will utilize all attached resources as one vessle, you no longer have control of the individual sections that have been docked together. 3. Yes you can. You would need to dock A to B and follow the same instructions. Once docked together click on A's fuel tank by holding Alt then clicking on it. The. Select B's fuel tank the same way and the transfer options will appear. 4. To switch control to a nearby vessle or kerbal use the "[" and "]" keys. Hope this helps! Happy Flying!
  18. A stock shuttle that follows the same design as the real shuttle. Hope you guys enjoy. Craft: FalconX-STS1
  19. This video follows the long journey of a small rover, from Kerbin to Duna. Hope you guys enjoy!
  20. Decided to design a shuttle that followed the same launch profile as the actual Space Shuttle. This is it in use during its first mission. Hope you guys enjoy. Craft Download: FalconX - STS1
  21. That is a very interesting concept. And completely possible through the use of mods. The main one being KOS which will allow you to write a scriptable auto pilot system. I have just began experimenting with the KOS system and have successfully written a program that automates a rocket from launchpad to LKO. There are programs that can automate rendezvous and docking two crafts. I would do a little research on the capabilities of the KOS system and test on a smaller scale. You can definitely achieve a automated launch, orbit, and docking by running a different program for each stage of the mission. Its definitely something worth exploring.
  22. Glad i could help! And I don't think Jeb would have it any other way, he likes to build suspense.
  23. Hey Rodion, Yes an EVA or even a Crew Report should count as science. Remember though, you would need to transmit the data back to Kerbin or recover the vessel to complete the contract.
