  1. This looks like a nice challenge. I'm at work right now, but I'll try it in a few hours, when I get home. I wonder how close you've got to the limit.
  2. If the dozens methods from the youtube didn't worked very well, try THIS method.
  3. Video Not exactly what you want to achieve, but close enough.
  4. I can also fly two at once. But I don't know if that landing qualifies me for this challenge. Video
  5. 71107 - 70997 = 110 EDIT: Wait a few minutes for full HD.
  6. I'm a pilot too and I know these sayings, but they are not about the auto-pilots. Airplanes with complex enough auto-pilots are not flown by newbies. What do you mean? A newbie that doesn't know how land properly will fly an Airbus A380 and rely on the autopilot to land? And "macho"? They think they are better than the auto-pilot so they don't use it? xD (I hope you realize how stupid this is, without me explaining it more) In real life autopilots are used so you don't have to fly straight for 5 hours and things like that, not for 2 minutes tasks (like launching in KSP).
  7. It is, just revert the game until they are not stuck.
  8. What's not clear? Bringing your ship within 60m using only the main engine is going to be slightly harder without navball (I do kinda bad in the video, but with a little training, I'm sure I could do almost as good as having the navball). The only thing to improve this challenge would be to add a save file so everyone use the same ship, else, building the lightest crap you can is not very fun. But the rules are clear enough.
  9. Last video I missclicked M instead of N and that turned the navball on, but I didn't had the station set as target, so I don't think it matters. But made another video just in case. I had some problems during the launch, the rocket rolled 90 degrees without me noticing. Anyway, I guess it's better this way. so you can see that I don't learn the buttons like a monkey and follow my "internal rhythm" to press them in order, like some popular disc jockeys around.
  10. Kasuha is right, this is mostly about who can make the smallest ship. I'm not very interested in that. Just a video to show off, made it a little harder than it was required, tell Scott Manley I give free lessons. EDIT: Just uploaded it, wait a second if you want better quality, it's full hd.
  11. So the navball doesn't work because there is a crater between you and your target? Since when was the navball supposed to make the terrain flat between you and your target?
  12. Told you that's a little messy. Here's another entry from me. 3:32 (3:27 with the bridge bonus) Still messy, I missclicked on the last burn and did some crap on the 4th burn, but now I'll wait for competition before improving it.
  13. Thank you. Doesn't really matter, but speed was 0.0m/s at 1:19.
  14. Thank you, but I didn't had too much practice, I find it kinda messy. If I'll have competition, I'm sure I can do much better. This is a nice challenge, the skill cap for flying that thing is very high, not sure it can be achieved.
  15. What you mean ma boi? Wanna make me look like a haxxor? Jet engine 4:39 (4:34 with the bridge bonus)
  16. What about my 5 seconds bonus for landing on the bridge?
  17. As promised: God of Kerbal I practiced a little without planting the flags and this was the first try, it's kinda messy, probably I can do much better.
  18. What's the point of this challenge if you can use cheats? Someone might as well make an autopilot that does everything by itself, is this a coding challenge? EDIT: And this? xD What's so wrong with rockets, but fine with aerospike (which is also a rocket)? It's fine to disallow rockets (including aerospike), since they make VTOLs much easier to control. The idea of the challenge is nice, but with cheats and aerospikes ... I've lost all the interest in it. EDIT 2: Anyway, I'll do it tomorrow, I'm at work right now. But since rockets are allowed, it's more like a lander challenge, eh, that's fun too. I just hope no one will abuse the cheats too bad.
  19. Helicopter You calculate the height and the distance. Sorry for my voice, I was really tired and my English is crap anyway.
  20. Or you could just launch all of them at once. Space carrier with 21 orange fuel tanks Anyway, docking things like that is not a good idea, if I use multiple docking ports I try to keep them in the same direction and if some of them do not connect, I just undock all of them, move a little back and dock again ... until eventually all of them connect.
  21. As you should have clearly noticed, my intention wasn't to do it without WASDQE.
  22. Everyone posts Manley's videos, but it looks like no one knows about the True God of Kerbal. =)) =))
