  1. I've been building shuttles ever since the mk3 parts came out and have never had this problem before. I'm testing the aerodynamics of my newest shuttle, and have become so flustered that I need to ask for help. WHY is this happening? I can't find any rational explanation for this issue... especially at subsonic speeds.
  2. So even though the tank is pressurized.. I still need to ullage the tank before igniting the engine?
  3. Quick question about ullage. I'm using Vens stock revamp in 1.1.2 with real fuels and it says that the RCS tank is pressurized for all fuels. However. When I reach orbit and right click on engine activate, the prompt still says Very unstable until I ullage with RCS. I thought pressurized tanks are supposed to circumvent ullage? Is this intentional or is something not quite right?
  4. First off, this is a fantastic mod! Well done! Second, is this compatible with 6.4x kerbin mod (Will all of its features work within an install using 6.4x kerbin or even RSS)? I would really like to keep both of these mods installed together!
  5. Have the simulation aspects been removed since the last update? Whenever I design my craft and look to test it in the launch tab, all I get is Build and Cancel. Where is the sim button? I've only tried this mod in x64 version of ksp..
  6. Since 1.2.1 came out and now we have those awesome see through cutaways of our interiors... can we go one step further and make ONLY the windows see through and have the cutaways as an EXTRA feature when we select it in the IVA vs EVA panel?
  7. Shader model 2 is no longer selectable in the graphics options in KSP 1.1 This is a problem for me because now whenever I look at Kerbin (ocean etc) my game LAAAAAGGGGGGS a lot. When I was using SM2, the game lag wasn't as bad however as of right now it is UNPLAYABLE due to severe lag. Is there any other way to use Shader model 2 in KSP 1.1? Or can Squad look into optimizing the graphics of this game so that looking at planets with oceans doesn't turn the game into a picture book due to poor framerate?
  8. Ok so I played the pre-release and I have to admit... Squad has really gone beyond the call of duty on this update. It's got so many little nice touches in it that really enhance the game, I am amazed how much better the game is for it. Aside from the massive performance boost for multi part ships, parts have more tweakable options, landing gear has been updated and now can ALL STEER and ALL HAVE LIGHTS. We can tweak engine pitch yaw roll settings. In cockpit overlay was something I scoffed at when it was revealed but I immediately retract that statement now because of what I THINK they will be doing with this feature in the future. To be able to see your crew INSIDE the crew pods is something I've been asking for since the beginning and now we have the seeds of that feature beginning to be implemented. New textures for ground, water etc. I still get lag when looking at Kerbin during launches etc BUT overall I'm very impressed. Now I can't wait to see what they do next (fingers crossed for audio/visual overhaul).
  9. I think the biology of Kerbals needs to be explored in a unique way with life support implementation. Be a little creative and create a system that is not as harsh as real life human life support but isn't totally arcade-y as to insult the players intelligence. Lets look at Kerbal biology: Mouths : To talk and I assume eat food Spacesuits: Meaning they require atmosphere to breathe. Crew pods have compartments labelled food, waste, water etc. So it is established (in-game) that Kerbals need to breathe and live in pressurized atmosphere, eat, drink, and excrete waste. Life support needs to reflect that. Consumption does NOT need to mimic humans at all, kerbal can be given metabolisms that even hibernate if need be, making them the perfect travelers. My point is that to preserve the fun factor, we don't need to be carrying around 50 tons of food and water on our 2 year journeys, there are ways of implementing life support in this game without being frustrating. In my opinion, I think life support can add tons of little immersion features into the game such as waste dumps that we can see every few minutes coming out of crew pods that crystallize and become dust in the vacuum of space. Maybe even show kerbals eating in the crew pods once and a while or even drinking liquids floating in the crew pods. Going to the toilet. Exercising. Sleeping. Even playing on gameboards with each other to pass the time. One of the biggest things I'd like to see is kerbals being spaced and seeing them swell in vacuum as they die. This would happen if crew pods are damaged etc and kerbals are located inside them. Having kerbals sitting in their chairs while a resource bar depletes is very boring and I feel a missed opportunity to have some fun expanding the game a bit. Another thing Id like to see is a choking animation if kerbals are EVA and their suits run out of breathable air. Squad can add resource umbilicals for kerbals when they go outside to do work. We also need tons more audio feedback in this game, and if life support is included, it needs to have the same treatment as the rest of the game in the audio department.
  10. Realism Overhaul and all of its required and recommended mods (FAR, Real fuels, AJE, Real heat etc) Ven stock revamp Remote tech EVE KAS/KIS Audio muffler (until Audio enhancement is fixed)
  11. Just because you'll be able to have more mods and build more complex crafts doesn't mean your game won't lag with it. All this does is allow for ksp to run with more ram like ALL modern games should. This update is just to bring this game into current gen. It HAD to happen. No excuse not to update KSP to use the latest unity engine.
  12. No hype. I don't know why everyone is getting so worked up over a necessary update that will change nothing except performance. This upgrade needed to happen, especially if this game is going to continue on consoles.
  13. No problem, I'll be eagerly awaiting the update as soon as it comes out!
  14. Take your time, I really appreciate all of your amazing work my friend!! Thank you so much!
  15. Nope I'm still having issues with vens vector engine not showing the real plume textures. Normally engines that are configured with Real plume would show on the last sentence of the engine description.
  16. I built a shuttle using vens vector with real fuels but for some reason I kept seeing stock plumes for the engine. I have it using hydrolox as a fuel as well.
  17. Is it possible to get configs for VENSstock revamp VECTOR engine? I've tried that engine part out and it is still using the stock plumes. Please and thanks!
  18. Is it possible to get configs for VENSstock revamp VECTOR engine? I've tried that engine part out and it is still using the stock plumes. Please and thanks! EDIT: Sorry, wrong thread!
  19. No thank you squad. Turn this into see-through windows please. I don't understand why they keep adding useless features like this to the game.. same thing with destructible building, why on earth would they think that was a feature that KSP needed to have? This isn't a war game. Meanwhile things like life-support, radiation, remote tech, delta v calculators etc all go unfinished and useless features take up development time.
