  1. that is strange, i had a probe with only solar panels and batteries on Kerbol escape, once i got it to 100 times further than Eeloo, i went to the probe and the batteries were full...
  2. thats strange, I have over 50 mods installed including this one and KW, kethane, interstellar, planet factory and ksp still runs smoother than ever.
  3. was it radial ion thrusters, acts like rcs except uses up xenon and are very slow but efficient?
  4. with ion engines buffed up, i'm not sure why they even call it an ion drive..., they should change the name to electrical engine and add a stock ion engine the same as it was before, perhaps even weaker
  5. not sure what you mean by that, but I know of Hybrid Ion pack but that prob not what your looking for. Then theres RLA electric engines and near future propulsion
  6. maybe its the giant kerbals from one of scott manley's videos (the one with the giant kerbal)! They are invading Kerbin:cool:
  7. In real life nothing in nature is 'optional'. When re-entering at high speeds, expect to build up heat on whatever is reentering. If the heat is too much, the object disintegrates; simple as that. It seems very unrealistic to me that a Mk1 capsule can survive reentry speeds greater than 100,000 m/s (yes i have tested this). I can see obvious flames and superheated plasma surrounding the craft but no heat buildup for some reason...(yes I know thats on the what not to suggest list, but thats not my main point here). I think new players should have to deal with these realisms because that is what forges better craft-making skills and memory power (remember to put on a heat-shield, etc). In real life, there is no option to turn down the heat, enable simpler aerodynamics. Also, NASA and other space agencies had to deal with those problems early on, so I see clear reason why new players will have to deal with them too. So, when things like deadly reentry and/or realistic aerodynamics are implemented, there should be no option to turn them down/off.
  8. is one of the hab modules actually sitting on the boulder?
  9. two words: NUCLEAR FUSION it'll make every other fuel we ever depended on obsolete
  10. so are the vasmirs going to be compatible with KSPI's reactors?
  11. Dres has a lot of asteroids to keep it comfortable. Eeloo only has a couple of comets to visit it(if you installed custom asteroids)
  12. I vote for Mun/Minmus and Jool so it can be a lot like 2001 a Space Odyssey and also the mystery of the Munoliths and how the kerbal race became intelligent. Perhaps also, INDIRECT contact with humans (for ex: kerbals find Voyager 1 ext...)
  13. that moment in Star Trek(2009) when the Enterprise escaped the black hole, seemed a bit crazy Edit: And Prometheus, the main VTOL craft was basically a box flying through the atmosphere at supersonic speed
  14. the jool aura looks sorta out of place. Maybe try making it a light pink to match with jool's sunrises and sets. and since laythe gets battered with radiation from jool, make laythe's auras 4 TIMES BIGGER:cool: otherwise
  15. i am not sure if the generators are compatible but I know for sure the near-future radiators do NOT go with KSPI radiators.
  16. Get the KSP interstellar mod. It adds a bunch of new nodes beyond the current ones in addition to exciting new propulsion and resource processing:)
  17. i think his is the bug where your kerbal is labeled as debris and is uncontrollable after reloading a save with a kerbal on eva
  18. are you talking about hybrid ion pack? Besides that, there are a couple others: RLA Electrical engines and near future propulsion
  19. so are you saying that other solar systems are fictional?, we have already discovered planets orbiting other stars. And keep in mind that the game is still in development and how we see the solar system today will be much different later
  20. I thought it would be cool if volcanic plumes could be seen coming out of laythe. Since we don't actually have working volcanoes yet, we can just have the plumes coming out of mountains or areas on Laythe that look like volcanoes, or from the sea. It would peak out somewhere in high atmosphere, and fall down in a ballistic trajectory
  21. whenever I load ksp with this mod, the space center is always underneath the ground...
  22. are you saying the improvements made by BA won't show up? Remember to put all the textures from BA into the main EVE file where all its textures are. Click 'replace' when necessary.
