In triangles and circles when you are using 2D, are those not geometrical figures for you? And I said you can't use À to measure angle? Read this http://www.ancient-origins.net/ancient-places-africa-opinion-guest-authors/mathematical-encoding-great-pyramid-002323 there is lots of interesting "features" of triangle and circle with À as radius. Pyramid was build using triangles and that is what make this article ridiculous? Or thing that ancient Egyptians could knew À and other math functions before Greeks and Romans?
-
Exactly, À and other mathematical values are constant. We can build universal units based on those values and on ratios, because ratios are understood by any civilization and in any language, of course you have to use geometry to write them in universal language Triangles, circles, pyramides and spheres would work. While our units build on "physical phenomena" are not universal, ask anyone on middle of street about what element and how many periods it needs to point 1 second? Why it is this element and not the other? Speed of light is not constant, so meters are useless for any other calculation that road from home to work. No I want to replace arbitrary units with universal values like À and functions on which our universe is built.
-
Invented by humans and understand only by humans. If we ever contact aliens they won't understand units like second or meter.
-
Some math functions the "features" of our universe were discovered while ago, shame science didn't follow them and we are using virtual units :/

Would like a few more runways.

That doesn't mean it should be suggested. It is wrong approach, if someone is looking for mods he should ask in mod-section, but if you write here you want to extend stock game. Posts suggesting mod in suggestion section should be treated as offtopic -

This is section with suggestions for new features in stock game not mod advertising section -

I would prefer some kind of "recovery site" on sea, because most of early carrier rockets are going to be multistage. We should have "srb splashdown" site with 100% refund. Of course we should be able to buy and set spot on our own and there could be some sea platform in place we set as "recovery site" -
Depends how do you define math If for you it is seeking out patterns etc etc then math is about discoveries. Of course we created many virtual symbols, formulas, units (like seconds, meters, kilograms) etc to write those patterns. For sure geometry is only about discovery, because almost any pattern may exist in nature Hmm instead of numbers we could use ratios as universal values.

Make your own engine

Interesting, but imo it would be easier to first make tank-builder. Give us few different alloys to choose from (with different heat resistance and mass), ability to create custom shapes and what fuel it should hold. -
Nobody is saying climate is not changing, just it is natural not caused by us. Sun doesn't have to increase its "power" to heat Earth more, Earths magnetic field may be getting weaker and more different types of radiation is heating Earth. http://www.nasa.gov/vision/earth/lookingatearth/29dec_magneticfield.html 10% is enough to increase temperature on Earth for few degrees by 100 years? Spear of Ra EDIT: Forgot about ozone layer? Does UV light has any energy that would increase Earths temperature? How long there was very thin or no ozone layer?

White spots on Moon in Sagan Cosmos series Where are they now?

What I would like to see soon in KSP... if we can have this we should also have this Depending on which command-part (manned or unmanned doesn't matter) is selected as the active only action from set of actions groups from this part should be executed. Super simple and would improve a lot our ability to managing multiple crafts docked to space station and not only that.

Hmm... Capsules and Station Parts fits here as well -> 3.75 metre versions of typcal 2.5 metre parts - Command module, monoprop, science lab, yada yada but I do agree we need more 3.75 parts and not only engines and tanks, 1. 3,75m storage (right now we have 2.5 and 1.25 only, would be also nice to have those two with larger height, so we could use them in many new ways), 2. Less wobble docking ports or... call it as you like just make something with stronger connection than docking ports, 3. 0.625m and 1.8m SRB, 4. More science stuff, maybe parts to get oxygen and water, 5. At least one more size of drill and claw, 6. Bigger and stronger landing legs (since we have new landing gear, medium and heavy, would be nice to have same sizes for landers and keep current legs sizes), 7. Two and four crew capsules, (maybe with different options like built-in small storage or RCS), 8. Rover cockpit/cabin, smaller than mk cockpits for 1 kerbal and wider for 2 kerbals, anyone seen "Last days on Mars" movie? We need rovers like there, 3 different parts for rovers: cabin (lots of windows), crew section and storage section (works like storage but should not be round), 9. Since electrical power is more important we need larger batteries - those placed radially (400 units) are bit small,

Mechanism of acquiring and holding experience by little green men can be used to some interesting features. Novice should walk and run slower than a trained astronaut, it's logical that a person with experience moves more efficiently in the suit. It does not change the laws of physics. More experienced Kerbals should also get a more modern suits and additions which could be allocated in the allocation crew window/tab. These suits could also include additional instruments (for science) and / or more fuel, not to mention oxygen or electricity. I'm not a fan of the life-support system, which would be cumbersome, but with a bit of realism certainly does not hurt. For example, to leave Kerbala outside the ship in same suit on the moon for the whole year is a slight exaggeration. Oxygen in the suits should be finite. Oxygen in capsules and cockpits not necessarily should be finite, but on the other hand, we have a resource system. Why do not use it to produce oxygen for green men? I do not like sending a manned mission to the Duna using just a small capsule. It should be a punishment for having Kerbal staying a few months in a capsule with only 1 crew spot. The most sensible solution, ie one that does not kill Kerbal, would be such as to lose the experience he gained as well as lose/lower ability to gain experience and thus the amount of science points to be gained from a mission. This mechanism should also work in sandbox mode.

Is this how gizmos rotation should look like?

You started about ethics And western eastern ideology are opposite since WW2 ended, just don't watch TV they are telling lies about it. Are you trying to explain to a slave how to be free man? Good luck with that. Many people in here are thinking just like slave and they are trying to imagine how AI would act if it would get free will and independence.
-
And in older societies harming citizens was allowed? There is always a threat, for example thief with gun is a thread.. of course it is forbidden to steal and to use gun to hurt you, but do you think he cares? True and forums rules that forbids us to talk about any topic make things worse in that matter. You just brought religion to the level of conspiracy theory. You really want to use science and something you can today call fact (tomorrow it might be one more false theory) to explain matters of faith? That is what I am talking about some people have zero respect to things they don't believe.

Well you are using TV definition of freedom. Having a kitchen knife does not make you Jack the Ripper. True independent AI wouldn't start to murder people just because it could. Well said, I wish that people do not understand that they must comply with stupid rules and become slaves to those who set these rules. As an independent and free being each in the first SHOULD be able to take care of their own survival that is what AI is going to do first and if you stand on its way... well you may be harmed. I see you are using TV definition of freedom and ethics. Like I said about knifes, having a gun doesn't make you killer, you have right to use your property in its sole discretion. You can burn your printer, or you can start printing weapon, but you have to remember about the consequences, the use of weapons to harm another person is a violation of his freedom. It would be unethical to limit the chance of survival, that is why the possibility of having weapons is so important, you have right to defend your life. Of course you should register your weapon for example on police station. Anonymity is important, only I have the right to decide who reads or hears my message. This argument about crime does not make sense, it suggests that before the invention of VOIP or mobile phones number of crimes was lower. Freedom of speech does not give you the freedom to offend. People who, for example, draw caricatures of religious forget it. The fact that one person does not believe in something does not give you the right to offend people who believe in it. Unfortunately, freedom of speech is abused by a minority who are trying to make people believe that the mere criticizing of these minorities is insulting. What is not true, because you can disagree with them, you have the right to criticize them, but you should tolerate them. Just do not use the TV definition of tolerance, because tolerance is not the same as the sharing of views. Restriction of liberty are harmful, because people stop to think about the consequences and focus on respect for rules, but those rules may be harmful. The problem is that a man who is not educated to predict the consequences of his actions, just to blindly follow the rules, can't predict the harmfulness of these rules. If the true independent AI will be able to predict the consequences of its action it will not be like a man "of Western civilization," it should be closer to wild tribes or even cavemans, but with very modern technologies and weapons. From the point of view of someone who grew up in western civilization caveman is a primitive, wild and brutal, sadly people completely ignores the fact that he was a free and independent. Using this freedom AI will protect its existence and species, unfortunately at our expense.

Then it wouldn't be AI just another robot. For me, the AI must have free will and consciousness of his own existence, so at the moment in which it realizes that you can kill it by pulling the plug it will begin consider you as threat. And it will start to fight for its own survival and resources. What you want to create is mechanic-slave that doesn't care about his own existence, he cares more about his master than his own kind.

Most people think that robots to won with us have to be smarter than us, but that's not true. Already today we can build a machines that could conquer the whole world. Example of a cleaning lady is very good, but the robot does not need to be smarter than the usual bear to kill the inhabitants of a small town. Can you manage to kill the bear before he kills you? If someone can shoot you probably will tell you that one good shot enough, but what if it's a mechanical bear? Then, without a rocket launcher, or explosive materials you not do anything to him;) Army of robots would need method to refill losses a kind of queen, or mobile printer printing 3D mechanical bears and uploading them the software. Of course, the software can learn, but it need not be even an AI just simple neural network, which will be updated from time to time in order to robots "with experience" shared their experience with the new units. Another type of robot that we need is something like ants collecting raw materials so that the "queen" could produce new combat units, more ants to collect, and even more queens. Why humans kill humans? Dead human is useless, why not build a ship and go to moon instead of killing other people? We fight for resources and survival, why do you think AI would act differently?
