Yes... Yessss.... Let your feelings floooow.... Yes.... Join the Dark Side and you can rule the Galaxy......! That said, a few simple info-mods can make the game less frustrating. The first mods I used (not sure which order) are KAC and Navball Docking Alignment Indicator (just a little plugin to make docking much easier). But ya, mods are like cookies (or is it Lays chips), it's hard to stop at just one. Then I went and got KER and Enhanced Navball. Finally, when I ran out of goals (returned from everywhere, altho I used the cheat-seat on Eve), I fully embraced the Dark Side and ate a whole box of cookies: FAR, Deadly Reentry, Proc Fairings, and Chatterer (for ambience). Don't worry, I still have a kernel of Light Side tucked away, no MJ (yet).

... when you just raise your orbit to cross the Mun orbit, then warp until an encounter occurs. That's how I got to the Mun the first few times. .... when you don't know what a maneuver node is, how it works, or how to make or use one.

Yup, it needs fins. Big ones, by the looks of it. Slimming the fairing will also help, if you can. Reaction wheels may also help to fight the flip, but it needs fins to naturally fly straight, just like an arrow. I'll assume the rocket is bending because it is flipping

Of course, if mass is no issue, this is the heavy nuke lander I sent almost everywhere. Couldn't quite do both ways on Tylo. 5k dV, 48 tons, with a pair of Mark 55 radials that double the thrust for "emergency power" Edit: The 4 LV-N's also augment the ones on the tug/fuel barges to reduce the burn times
