  1. While you can manually lower the tanks, that is very inconvenient. Yeah adding a toggle on the CoM button for wet/dry loads would be nice. Supported.
  2. I really hope they give us more direct control over the direction of our space program. I just want to be able to select the target body for my contracts.
  3. Yes to the first two. The third maybe, it seems like it would just give us a heatmap and I could see that being useful I suppose. The unmanned sample return would be amazing. I still say a good chunk of our real world science is from imagery/telescopes. I really really want parts to build a space telescope. 1 Hubble type part, 1 JWST type part.
  4. I also roll off the tier 0 runway for better takeoffs. I think a bumpier surounding area might be nice, would be a good rover testing area as well.
  5. What is so wrong about him pointing out your attempts at using logical fallacies? If its any consolation I think you are playing the victim card pretty heavy here.
  6. I've proposed a similar idea: I'll support anything that gives the player more control of their program. I don't like having to shuffle through contracts, declining until I get the ones I want, if I even do.
  7. So /kspg/ died huh

Not in our hearts and minds.

  8. 1. clamshell is a togglable after we nagged enough. right click a built stock fairing in the vab sometime, there are a good options. you can even change the number of wedges and the ejection force. I am quite pleased. 2. Nice opinion, bro. 3. I mean is that so? I change it in the VAB and save and have had no problems. 4. Nice opinion, bro. 5. Nice opinion, bro. 6. Nice opinion, bro. 7. Then stock has more options, as you can still use the exploding potato chip bag deployment if you want, as well as clamshell. And you can determines the number of wedges too, so... 8. Ok so they can be bigger, I suggest Squad increase the maz size of the fairings to sate you. 9. Saying "unless" means that you can in fact make them conical. I do when I play. 10. I think what #10 is saying is that you can do conical OR egg shaped, just like in stock, so I'm not sure why that's in there. Your limited list is half opinion, half not understanding that the stock variant does infact have certain options.
  9. In the interest of moving on from the futile conversation on fallacies, Can we get back on to the topic at hand? Why does the Rocomax Micronode have no surface attatchment? I would love to the individual panels on it, or science equipment. being only able to attach to its nodes is annoying.
  10. For my part, I was fairly aggressive as well. All good mate.
  11. Well If we equate Jupiter with Jupiter(Roman Zeus) Then Jool is named after the god Jool. Moho, the Divine hound, fast as the wind Eve, Goddess, usually shown with many beautiful amethysts Duna, Warlord of the Kerbal pantheon. Dres, No one cares about Dres Jool, Mightiest of the Gods and king of the heavens. He is surrounded by his harem of minor dieties, each representing one of the 5 stages of grief (Tylo is depression, as in the depression you make when you impact it in a failed landing) Eeloo I think is not Hades or Pluto, but rather like Charon. As Charon guides souls to cross the river Styx, Eeloo crosses orbital planes with Jool, but must always return to the far side, and remain there for most of its travels.
  12. Let's not mention the new console players, or those who enjoy increased game stability by playing vanilla. I did say I usually don't complain when a mod is posted here, great that person may have found the panacea they were seeking. It was your posting the same suggestion twice that a soured me. I always post on this board with the intent to suggest things to further develop the base game. Personally, when I create a new thread in the suggestion board, I always try to remember to include a "this is a suggestion for the stock game, please do not post mods" For example, I am aware of various robotics mods, yet I think that robotics and hinges and motorized pivots should be added to the base game, for alI to easily access. Remember there was a mod for space plane parts before squad added space plane parts. I'm glad they didn't say "there's already a mod for that, we don't need to add that"
  13. I want more planets and moons. This is not the way to go about it. This is far too much. Edit to the below: I hadn't even noticed that, only read the first paragraph lol
  14. "Theres a mod for that" is the second least useful thing you can post in the suggestions & development forum, behind literally punching your keyboard and submitting gibberish. We are here to suggest things to further develop the stock game. I normally don't complain when people do this, but you have twice in this thread brought up the mod, which will do nothing to improve the stock game experience for those who like to play unmodded.
  15. Look well into thyself; there is a source of strength which will always spring up if thou wilt always look. -Marcus Aurelius
  16. If people think at all like I have before, it's "Let me post this in the main area, so it gets views and replies before the mods shunt it into some unpopular subforum where no one will see it" I admit I have been guilty of this before. The general ksp discussion section is viewed as the "front page" for some. You want to be on the very front of the newspaper, or front of section E? 15 minutes on the front page can get you more views and feedback then just outright posting in the right area sometimes.
  17. I personally like the fairings, now that they added the clamshell option and I dont have to see "exploding potato chip bag" fairings. Really my problem with fairings in KSP is we dont have hinges and motors so we can fold up our things to make them compact and fit better in the fairing. Discussion on that can continue in my thread though, so please dont derail here.
  18. I see. Would there be different spikes for each instrument so you can see the fluff for the temperature, seismic, pressure ect.? Beyond the funny ones, they have scientifically interesting info. A sampling of Duna -The sensor is able to record the effects of Ike as it orbits Duna. -There appears to be a larger concentration of heavy isotopes in the atmosphere than on Kerbin. -There does not appear to be significant seismic activity on the planet. It is possible that it is no longer geologically active. How would Asteroid samples and surface samples be handled? Realistically they should not "spike up" your science graph until returned to Kerbin, reviewed in a lab or Transmitted. I'm by no means critiquing, I just want the concept fleshed out more fully.
  19. Thanks for this, I remember the cute lil bugger from my Battlefield:1942 days, it was in one of the expansion packs.
  20. Can semi confirm, if I log in on my phone at work, i have to re-log in on my desktop when i get home and vice versa.
  21. Thanks for deleting my mis-post. can users not delete their own? I seem to remember I could before, but its been some time and I couldnt find a way.

    1. Red Iron Crown

      Red Iron Crown

Used to be able to, but since the move to the new forum software that ability has been lost, sadly.

  22. I agree about the clickfest. I use my "1" key as my SCIENCE! button, do them all at once easily. (edit: I somehow see I missed you already mentioned action groups, carry on) I enjoy reading the fluff text for the various experiments, would your idea remove those?
  23. @AlamoVampire First i was going to be a smart-a55, and use your techinque to mount a micronode radially on a small probe, say to neatly mount science equipment. Because for some reason micronodes cant be placed radially. But then I realized you cant mount anything radially on the micronode, despite how perfect it would be for things like that. Then you can radially attach tanks to tanks, but not if they are xenon. Those tanks have no radial ability for some reason. Yes, there is a radial xenon tank, but I cant mount the ion engine on the bottom of that. I should be able to. This should be much easier to make without hiding a tiny cubic strut inside the ion pods. the tanks should attach radially to the i beams, but they dont. neither will the engines, so I had to increase my part count unnecessarily to make my design work. Those are just two examples. Make everything mountable radially. I'll even throw you a bone and say make everything radially attachable, except for non ion engines. It is beyond annoying in a game where you can design things freely, where you have to use end arounds to mount simple items. Why shouldnt I be able to mount a pressure sensor on a micro node? or have quad radially attached xenon tanks with ions underneath?
