  1. I'd thought the big ones were fixed, are there yet problems with 1.0.2?
  2. By god, its the perfect crime! but no, 1.0 was unbalanced in a few regards, and now your unbalanced craft has been rebalanced by the patch, it is just a bit inadequate.
  3. while I admit that alot of my issue is trying to drive too fast, the wheels really do tend to slide, and never really 'dig' in to terrain, like you might expect on a sandy dune.
  4. on that note, KSP did hit over 1 million sales on steam alone, so assuming it is equal between the store and steam, you have 2 million sales. even at 10$ each, oh my. congrats for that!
  5. now I just got myself hyped to start playing again, dont tell me I should wait another few days... Is something still really broken?
  6. can you link me with that? I once got in trouble for suggesting such a thing, now actually having it would be like divine retribution.
  7. Well friends, now 1.0.1, and 1.0.2 are out, after only whetting my appitite before I think I will finally commit to getting deep into KSP again. hope this thread helped the team.
  8. Requesting a close for http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/116969-List-of-things-needed-in-a-hotfix/page24 , as squad released not 1 but 2 small patches. I just said goodbye to my thread, they grow up so fast
  9. I agree. It would be most unfun if orbital decay resulted in my station re-entering while I was time-warping another craft to Jool.
  10. I used this: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/29862-0-90-Procedural-Dynamics-Procedural-Wing-0-9-3-Dec-24 I just didnt like the "mouseover+ press a key" stuff. there has got to be an easier way to do all that. also I found making my own wings I could never make something I was happy with. being forced to work with the stock wings led to wings I was satisfied with and proud of. idk why.
  11. I like lego wings, my problem is having to strut a big 5x5 wing panel together looks ugly. Proc wings would be fine too as long as they do it more intuatively than the actual procedural wings mod, which I used for most of my .90 playtime. I found that not the easiest to get the hang of, personally.
  12. A toggle switch would be much easier than giving every tank a liquid-fuel-only reskin though.
  13. stop being proud of that
  14. I had hoped for that to be a tweakable. A jet plane made of an orange tank of 100% liquid fuel would be great
  15. For the inept here, where do I add this text? Is there just a config file in the ksp folder?
  16. Whats that about a monkey given enough time will eventually type the works of Shakespeare? I said nothing of quality, but you give us enough time and we can find every way to break this game. Thats what I had meant by 'volume'. They recently hit 1 million sales on steam alone, and if only .01 percent of them contribute proper bug reports, that would be 100 good bug reports, exactly what Kasper says they want in the OP. I'm not talking about those who make an angry thread in the general discussion forum, that I know doesn't really help Squad. EDIT: and to the below post, I also am not implying every player should take part in the experimentals process, but after a release the playerbase can find any remaining bugs. We all just want the best game possible EDIT: on second thought, I'm not sure how I thought the "Infinite Monkey theorem" helped my argument here, but Im keeping it there because thinking about monkeys using typewriters makes me laugh.
  17. Quite a few people foresaw this coming when they decided to make the arbitrary jump to 1.0 without a proper beta cycle. Calling 1 update beta does not a cycle make. User play-testing will always be superior to any QA/experimentals team, just by the sheer volume. The QA/exp teams did do their best (aside from DuoDex, who openly admits this is entirely all his fault ). At this point the 'is it ready for 1.0' question has been both answered and rendered useless, as A. I think its clear it was too early, and B. they did it anyway. The point of beta's are to fix what you've added, not add dozens of complete new systems to the game. therein lies the problem. A goofy heating system is fine for a .91, but the community holds higher standards to a 1.0 release. Regardless, 1.0.1 should fix the majority of major issues, and the community criticism should not be leveled at the QA team, but rather the decision makers who thought having so many brand new features and not giving them their own beta (KSP: .95 "Coming in HOT") was a good idea. I look forward to getting elbow deep into 1.0.1 in due time.
  18. I'll be leaving town to visit my grandparents, and will be away from internet for a while. Stay out of trouble and don't get my thread locked while I'm out
  19. Woohoo! Hopefully 1.0.1 will be out by when I get back from visiting my grandparents. .24 came out on July 17th, and .24.1 was on the following 24th. Lets hope for a similar timeframe. No pre-release screening will be perfect, I'm glad to hear this is happening.
  20. Ladders are totally endgame tech man. They are precision engineered.
  21. Nice job guys. The 1.0 release set a forum record for most concurrent members online!
  22. any word on if this 'next release' will be soon, or a far off normal sort of update?
  23. I removed Jets from the OP as NathanKell seems to think they work fine. Unless someone can post a good reasons to keep it?
  24. added parachute rebalance. these are things that should not wait 3-4 months for the next big update.
