Heres an idea on what retired kerbals could do for your Space program. PR stuff or release a book for a quick boost of Reputation/funds? Diminishing returns on that of course, the public would get weary of seeing the same face trot out on the stage over and over. IDK if that would make gameplay any better.

Here I thought it was another "thanks squad" thread, while at the same time ruing the fact KAC isn't stock, when BANG out of nowhere you threw a curveball at me and it really is a "Make KAC stock" thread. Lovely deception.

Wait a second. Kerbals dont really have the name "Moon", so do they use the word "Moon"? Wouldn't they call all moons muns? For example, is Laythe a mun of Jool, and Gilly a mun of Eve?

Im glad this is a thing. I remember there were similar things for me back in middle school, that's what got me started in scale model building, the experience from which I then took to building RC models. Im sure for some kids this will be their first experience in what will become a lifelong hobby/interest. -

just wanted to jump in here to ask, how do you plan that? does it just work or would it take certain planetary alignments, how do you do it? Edit:I semi understand gravity assists, but I dont get how to do multi planet ones in game.

I too wish for caves. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/74287-caves-caverns?highlight=caves In that thread someone says that due to how KSP renders planets (using a heightmap or some nonsense) caves just dont work well. -

Once you cross that 1.0 threshold I would hope there would be no broken saves. That's why I'm still playing ksp, all the previous updates I stopped after a week since I expect alpha and beta updates to break saves.

I started a thread to say my thoughts and it got dumped into the suggestions and development board, should this one as well? honestly though, I only started my thread because It was 1am, I am laidoff, and I was bored. I hope no one is losing sleep over this game. you can disagree with decisions made, but KSP is still fun for all of us here. Coming in here to argue with Upsilon over any perceived tone serves no one. I like this thread both for the message and for the beautiful formatting on the OP itself. My regret is I contributed to the negativity that caused Upsilon to create this thread, thus taking precious time away from him he could have used to keep working on his music seen in this thread http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/88869-KSP-Plugin-Songs!-%28Current-Song-SUN%29, which everyone here should listen to and support becoming a stock addition once he is finished with all the tracks.

career mode is basically: -Do enough suborbital launches to get enough science to get better parts -Do enough orbital launches to get enough science to get better parts -Do a Mun/Minmus flyby to get enough science to get better parts -Do enough Mun/Minmus landings to get enough science to get everything else -Actually do what you want. At least for me that's how it goes.

Right now what can you do on EVA? -repair a few select things that can be broken -walk/move around -plant flag -suface sample(In-game animation please) -EVA report -move data nothing really keeps you on the surface for more than a minute. So to improve that experience, I want to do this stuff on EVA. Deployable science experiments: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Lunar_Surface_Experiments_Package#Deployment there are a few different experiments you can include ingame inside a 'Surface Experiment Package' : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_Lunar_Surface_Experiments_Package#List_of_experiments theres a mod for this yadda-yadda whatever. It should be a stock feature.

what difficulty are you playing? As I above stated, Im on normal, and I tried to explode by coming down in a straight powered descent from Minmus, hit atmosphere at 3500m/s, and came out nigh unharmed. -

and IMO the best way to balance it would be to require heat tiles be on the underside of space planes, like on real ones (the shuttle and X-37B come to mind). I believe that was an option on porkjet's plane parts, but Squad axed it? Edit: now I play on normal reentry heat, 100%, but I tried to overheat by coming straight in at 3.5k m/s, and lost only 30 to 40 units of ablation. bit too easy.
