  1. there is no need for a possibly genderless alien species to have our definition of gender applied to them. i like how kerbals look now, like 60's astronauts. no genders needed. this is why we cant discus this.
  2. whoa, i just started a thread about mission control in ksp like 2 days ago. where did you hear they are adding an interior? is that going to be the hub for the contracts?

  4. that sums it up. a newcomer will know that rockets are long and pointy to pierce the atmosphere.
  5. squad is a business and in it to make money. they sell a product, to earn a profit. they also offer a free "lite" version of their product, i.e. the demo, to garner intrest from potential buyers. things are not free man. edit: though perhaps once the sale is on, a "ksp gifting thread" could start and people could gift it to other forum users? is that kind of thing ok mods?
  6. so give the game for free? a a demo is the best option thus far, though it stands that it could use an update i think. also, the steam summer sale is rumored to start in a few hours, so KSP and hundreds of other games will be available for 50% off or more. crazy deals coming.

Lets discuss these guys: http://youtu.be/H9fvjKVuULQ?t=5s Mission Control is an important part of every space mission in real life. this video made kerbal mission control game canon. so how can they be implemented in game? im not asking for voicework or making chatterer stock, but the mission control team gives much needed intel and mission data to the crews. is there a place for a mission control window in game? i was thinking it would only be on the map screen in a corner or something, perhaps displaying the current biome. generally speaking mission control would know the destination and the current location of any missions craft. just looking for discussion. its a rainy day here.

  15. couple this with maneuver nodes saving on a per ship basis(they do do that now right?) and we have a stock version of kerbal alarm clock.
  16. simplify your request to say "powered hinges" those would enable so much. custom cargo bays, a stock space arm like the shuttle or iss has, rudimentary interplanetary walkers, alternate wing designs like yours, a catapult for jeb...
  17. to be fair you cant just drop a bakers dozen mainsails from 50m and they just *boom*** when they hit the ground. there should be shrapnel. unless they are a hollow 1 piece item. from this we can clearly deduce mainsails are grown in underground vaults. probably under the mountains behind KSC

  19. yeah anything. id suggest lowering the price, but they are in this to make money. a cheaper production method and a cheaper price may even give an increased profit. just look into it and crunch numbers. id love to send you my paper currency in exchange for a physical item. edit: is that so? hmm that make sense. what other alternatives are there that wouldnt cost us 50$ per model and could still make a good profit for squad?
  20. yeah if we already can toggle between orbital speed and speed relative to target, adding a + or - in front is a very minimal change.
  21. i can only hope the vab is just the "blueprint" and the cost is deducted when going to launchpad. if i go broke because i accidentally went x8 symmetry on my boosters....ughh

PLEASE PLEASE look into producing injection molded kerbal figures. injection molding is considerably cheaper, when compared to the 3d printing process you currently use. granted that process might result in a nicer looking piece, but i cannot be dropping 120$ usd to aquire my 3 favorite space explorers. im not saying drop your 3d printed line, but add an "economly line" or something. better still, mold them in green and let us assemble and paint them, like a testors model kit.
