you might wanna bring the design back to kerbin or make as much use out of that craft as you can. You'll need some radiators to take some of the heat away from the fuel tanks. The design has all the fuel tanks bunched together and a heatshield is merging into one of those tanks. Convection will bring heat across to the already heated fuel tank (just behind the 3m heatshield) and cause your explosion. You could alter your course and get a gravity assist around Tylo into the Joolian system. From the Tylo assist, aerobrake around Laythe. It's atmosphere is much thinner and that craft has a much larger chance of surviving Laythe entry. From Laythe, go on with your normal plan. Depending on how the moons are aligned, you can save or lose fuel. good luck!

I'm not a person who's a fan of endlessly gathering science at the beginning nor am I a fan of an easy career. I balanced it out with massive losses if I mess up a launch. Even still, I can revert. I've been playing DayZ for ages now (1.5 years) and the number of interesting people I run into has dwindled. Now it's all KOS (Kill on Site) and there's no roleplay anymore. It's been in early access (the standalone anyway) for too long. BUT!! There's still a bit of hope! The Devs are adding in some new fixes and fully intergrating their new engine, meaning more Frames Per Second and new vehicles that don't send you to orbit. They're moving to Beta. I hope they stick to this promise though. There's not many games that really pull off zombie survival like DayZ once did. "It's not the zombies you need to worry about. It's the people amidst the undead who will kill you" Please vote on what you think of the game. Thanks in advance. Maybe KSP players could come together to play and reck a DayZ server once it's pulled out of it's slump.

you could land it the scary but fast way. Attach a booster onto the back of the rover for the final decent (make sure it intersects the COM). Put plane landing gear on the bottom of the Chassis and.... well.... land on the Mun. Put on the brakes and hope for the best. I've done this numerous times. Some of them cost funds and lives though.

I think that those planets would be a nice addition to the stock solar system. Not only would it mean a new and un-explored frontier for Veterans and Newbs, but it would pull the community back together again if the entire "it's too hard for me so go back to the old way" fiasco happens for those planets just as it did for the new atmosphere overhaul 1.0 brought. I guess they're waiting for after unity 5 or when 64bit is fixed up and ready to rumble. I don't mind if they've been canceled. I'd like to be sure though as they're planned according to the community edited Wiki page.
