I went on a little climbing trip today and desecrated a historic monument of Kerbin. Who's the Pharaoh now?!

Of course! For Science!

Steam x64 Launcher
Sheppard replied to Sheppard's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I want the Steam launcher for statistics, streaming and to be able to post screenshots easier. Not using Steam is not an option. -
Hello, Just wanted to point out, that since version 1.1.2 the Steam launcher automatically launches KSP in x32, by default, instead of x64 like in version 1.1.1. If one would want to launch in x64 (most of us do), you would have to go to the Steam Library, right click on the game and click on "Launch KSP (64-bit)". I would like an option to choose which one it should launch by default, or go back to launchit it in x64 by default. Or some suggestion as to how to configure the launcher with the "Set launch options" so that the game starts in x64 when clicking on the shortcut.

Built my first torus! Kerbin Space Station is coming nicely together. Now to bring up the spaceport...

Seems to be fixed now, clouds all around:

I get that too. And everyone who I saw using the mod. Might be a little bug @Nhawks17?

I'm trying to reinstall Stock Visual Enhancements (SVE) with CKAN, but I only get a line instead of the box that lets me tick and install the mod. Version 1.1.0 is listed as "Max KSP version" and for the textures 1.0.5. Maybe that's why it won't let me reinstall the mod. Nhawks17, creator of SVE, said: Similar problem with EVE. Hope there is a fix soon. I would hate to install everything again manually and then reinstall with CKAN later. Thanks in advance! LE: I'm using KSP Steam version, up-to-date, so version 1.1.2
-
I'll post this then on the CKAN thread too. Hope it gets fixed soon. Thanks for the info and the great mod!
-
multumesc The thing is I would like to use CKAN for all my mods. It makes keeping everything up-to-date so much more simple. If I install it manually I risk getting conflicts in the future with CKAN and I would always have to update manually. I'll wait a little longer until it gets updated on CKAN as well. If I get too inpatient I will follow your advice and get it manually.

New news on the VR part from the devs in today's devnotes: Now to wait for the new nvidia graphic cards, buy a VR ready laptop, buy a HTC Vive, sell a kidney to pay for all of it and let the fun begin

[1.12.x] Kerbal Alarm Clock v3.13.0.0 (April 10)
Sheppard replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I'm anxiously awaiting the 1.1 update from @TriggerAu. Can't really play now without Kerbal Alarm Clock, or I'll miss most of my maneuvers from the running missions. Thanks for this mod that allows me to run a complex space program with multiple simultaneous missions! -
VR would be extremely useful in all sorts of situations, but most of all, in case of landings. You could finally tell how far you are from the ground, with your own eyes.

Great news everyone! NATIVE support for SteamVR in the Unity Platform announced by Gabe Newell from Steam! So that's another reason why this should happen after the 1.1 update. Maybe as soon as 1.2? To make an anology with another game, Ark: Survival Evlolved: it is a poorly optimized game in Early Access, that has VR support and also requires a hell of a gaming rig to run smoothly even on medium settings. Despite that, the player base is quite big. And sure, prices will be high in the first months, but after competition kicks in (at CES 2016 there were several VR headsets presented by different manufacturers) they will definitely go down and be more affordable. After KSP 1.1 comes out, why not implement this feature for whomever wants it? At least in my opinion, a simulator in space like KSP and VR are perfect for each other.

Hopefully, with the official release of Oculus Rift and HTC Vive nearing (these seem to be the first to come out as far as I know) we will also get some response from developers regarding this aspect of the game.
