  2. I just finished tweaking my entry for the next contest while I wait to see how my current entry fairs. This new craft pulls 23.7G turns smooth as butter.
  3. That was a pretty interesting match, some fancy flying by that interceptor in the last round before it took a missile, some nape-of-the-earth flying by the mountain.

  9. First part of Apollo 10 mission: Second part of Apollo 10 mission Annnnnnnnnd my Apollo 13 mission!
  10. My entry, launched from the back of a plane and made it to a 75x75km orbit.
  11. Today I made a pathfinder style rover that lands on Duna with the assistance of a chute, retro rockets and a winch/cable assembly. The chute deploys, slowing the rover down to 7m/s, then the winch extends the cable. Once the cable is extended and the rover is slung low down, the retro rockets activate just before touchdown to bring the speed down to 2m/s. Once the rover is on the ground, the winch cable detachs and the retro rocket/chute assembly flies off a good distance away.
  12. I disagree that KSP is anywhere near finished. The programming needs ALOT of work; I run into heap errors all the time. The sheer mountain of mods out there show that SQUAD has a lot of work to do in updating the content and quality of the game; limit yourself to the stock parts and you'll quickly run out of stuff to do; and the stock game looks like it was built five years ago, especially comparted to Proot's Renaissance mod.
  13. All of this talk of Kerbal mating rituals reminds me of this old muppet show clip;
