I wonder if the fellow who wrote this challenge also wrote skilful weapons mod???? This challenge is fail, completely arbitrary scoring and the mod is ****e, crashes every time. Now the K Prize, THAT is a challenge. -
New entry, "TAYFUN III" (Typhoon 3). 1960m/s all stock airbreathing (no mods) on three engines (and looking good while doing it i think). An improvement of 200m/s over the original TAYFUN.

@chrono: I will be cracking away at this challenge this weekend, will post again when I am successful. Good news is this design was extremely stable/controllable even at top speed. I'm going to try refining it for "moar speed" instead of starting from scratch. perhaps get it to altitude with a carrier craft like chuck Yeager's plane and then launch mid air.....

Recently upgraded to a shiny new MSI GT-70 Dominator Pro machine w/ Geforce 880m. While I am thrilled with my decreased load times, I'm still limited as to how many high-res textures and mods I can load because of the 32 bit unity engine and it's inability to address over 3.5Gb of ram. I love KSP, but for it to move forward it needs to transition to the 64bit Unity engine.

My second entry, I present for your consideration the "General Kuznetsov Class Cargo Drone"; Would like to apply for the following; Advanced pilot precision award (landed on runway, docked in orbit); Utilitarial Commendation (payload to orbit, kethane satellite); and Utilitarian Distinction (payload to kerbin, comms sat).

Can you post up a well defined "points" and goals list that says exactly what points we get for what achievement? I'm quite the trek fan, but this challenge isn't valid unless there are actual measurable, achievable goals. -
My entry; The "Spirit of Collective Socialism" is a personnel transport able to carry four kerbalnauts plus a crew of three to orbit and back. Would like to submit for the following awards; Advanced pilot precision award (landed on runway, docked in orbit); and Utilitarial Commendation (payload to orbit, transferred kerbal to OTV).

I have tried to chain asteroids together to make a three-asteroid triangular shaped orbiting base, and unfortunately the sheer mass involved means even moving at 3-4m/s the asteroids simply destroy anything in their path and keep going.

You can use it to build a station. I'm currently wrangling three into LKO and using them to construct a station.

standard 40% ascent curve started gravity turn @ 6.9km and turned east. -

Very nice build, not a lot of room for error got it to a 80x80km orbit and back to KSC with 12 units of liquid fuel left -

My first undersea facility "Zissou Base"; Only problem is once a sub docks with the base my viewpoint is suck looking at it from above and I can't rotate my view... even if i undock the view is stuck looking down from above... any thoughts?
