  1. Yep, a few clean up items remain on my existing configs, then I'll get started on the SpaceX stuff again, maybe some updates tonight!
  2. Well, gonna eat a bit of crow...You need the LazTek launch pack installed too, specifically the interior for the other Dragon pod.
  3. Hate to break it to you, but it's NOT the Dragon v2 that is causing issues. You've got some incompatibility somewhere, but LazTek is simply parts. There are no module dependencies besides stock to begin with. Going to have to find the problem elsewhere, it's not with Laz.
  4. While that may be true...start with a fresh KSP install, install RSS, then RO and all dependencies. THEN add PP and see what happens.
  5. Yes it does. It allows for full roll control via a pods RCS, eliminating the need for surface-mounted, it allows for bi/multi-propellant usage, and otherwise behaves just like ModuleEnginesFX.
  6. I need to take another look at both LazTek and KerbX. I'll see what's going on. Ive got an idea just need to spend some time on it.
  7. Well...yes...to a point. Originally, they were hinged to begin with, but after some thought, and practice there was concern that they might get in the way, so they were redesigned that once past 45 degrees open, the doors unlatched and were able to float freely away that after pulling away and flipping around their wouldn't be any more concern of them in the way.
  8. Yeah, I've got a hold of DennyTX and he has agreed to making a new version that fixes that gap, and a few other small fixes here and there. Hopefully I'll get him to leave the panels as a separate piece so that we can get a true separation instead of the animation.
  9. Did you grab the latest RSS_Resources.cfg as well. There are some Tank definitions in there used for both Atlas and Saturn. Honestly I need to do something with that, because while in theory it's a good idea (to me at least), in practice too many people have had issues.
  10. Good deal. Thank you though for you help, this is the feedback I need in order to ensure it's all as it should be.
  11. Um...No...Apollo 4 and 6 had 8 motors, while Apollo 8-14 had 4, they were completely eliminated with Apollo 15 and sub. Apollo 15 also saw the removal of 4 retro rockets on the S-IC, but they were installed once again (total 8) on 16-17-Skylab.
  12. First question is have you installed the latest configs available on my thread. If you haven't, then the answer is get the latest configs. If you have, then the best way to build the stack is: In OLDD Build the LEM. Save the LEM as a subassembly. The key, there is a node in the middle of the ascent stage. This is the attachment point to the deployment device. Build the CSM. Place the SLA. The top node of the SLA is 1m above the SM body/engine junction, you can't see it, but it's there. Deploy the panels so you can see. For ease, place the Instrument unit and even the SIVB if you want. Place the LEM deployment device, there is still a node then right at the top of the junction of the SLA panels. That little red barrel on the side poking out of the SLA should right above the Instrument Unit. Now pull the LEM from the sub-assembly and attach to the node showing within the SLA with the node in the middle of the ascent engine. Procedure for FASA is very similar: Build the LEM - same as OLDD Save the LEM - same as OLDD Build the CSM - same as OLDD Place the base of the SLA - its a new part because the SLA base that Frizz did had some structural components blocked parts. Place the IU and the S-IVB Place the LEM deployment device - again there is a node at the top of the SLA base that corresponds with the deployment device, putting the barrel right above the IU. Place the LEM from the sub-assembly. Again, same node in the same spots as OLDD. Install the 4 panels of the SLA.
  13. Dragon, I'm working with Denny to get things working a bit better. FWIW, the models themselves for the most part are all modeled in a 1:1 scale. He is very willing to help, so give us some time. Also, concerning the ullage motors, while at one point there was 8, it was reduced down to 4 after a while.
  14. I know you don't care to add 3rd party module dependencies but I do ask you include all the real transforms for the possibly of those who use RSS and RO to have good accurate control. I know you did so on V1 pod, just asking you do the same on V2. Otherwise it appears what you've seen and modeled match what I see. Thank you.
  15. Well...Not entirely stupid question. Here is the scoop. FASA's Apollo CSM and LEM are actually OLDD (DennyTX) models, at some point they have maybe been retextured and/or older version models than what is currently included with OLDD (that part I'm actually not to sure, but is irrelevant). Frizzank then modeled his own Saturn V and IB for FASA, DennyTX also modeled his own Saturn V as well with the OLDD pack. The CSM and LEM are newer/better versions (IMO) than what is in the FASA pack as well...When it comes to the Saturn V each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Due to the modelling by Frizzank, I was actually able to get scaling to RL better than some of the OLDD models, configs should be near identical though...If your computer can handle it, I'd recommend both, try them out, and see what you like, you can always delete parts of either pack you don't like and keep the rest.
  16. Hey sorry to catch this 4 days afterwards...you posted right before the forum went down and I didn't get a message you had written. No you don't HAVE to download my patch, but RO contains essentially an outdated version that if you wish to use the newest v4.7 of FASA, you need this download. Some files have been removed, so it wouldn't hurt to delete everything in the RedAV8R folder of RO and download all of the files on the OP and go from there.
  17. To you and I 9 + downloads isn't much, and there is cooperation, some people just don't have the skills, know how, and/or patience to even do that. Some people have to be spoon fed everything in order to be happy. They forget the biggest factor in that KSP is at v ZERO point 23.5, and mods continually being updated, new features, etc to bring the experience up to what it could be when eventually the final product comes around.
  18. Not a typo. At least it wasn't when this version of RO was released. Back then the FASA part had yet to be renamed so it wouldn't conflict with the OLDD download. You just using what is included in the RO download, and you haven't updated my packs via my own thread HERE.
  19. FWIW...Where exactly have you put the thrusters? From the pictures/video I've seen, there are the 3 which I've seen you modeled...noting though, and not sure how you've done yours that the one that is facing more horizontal is actually firing towards the SuperDraco pods...like I said though, not sure which way you did yours. I've also seen there are 1 more Draco on the other side of each SuperDraco pod. For a total of at least 16 Dracos. There MIGHT be two more placed at approximately 90 and 270 degrees towards the top as well, that would be 18, which would match what V1 had.
  20. That's great to hear. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the new releases as they come.
  21. Hey Laz, would it be possible to transform your other Dragon Pod into the cargo version and then use the Dragon V2 as the passenger version?
  22. Jobin & frisch: Sorry you feel this way. Will say, this is the RO thread, not RSS. Sure downloading everything can take time, then somebody updates something, which requires somebody else to update theirs etc. It's a never ending battle to stay completely up to date. Absolutely cooperation would be an awesome thing in unicorn land. There is a program out there, not working, but being updated last I heard which 'bundles' everything together. The problem is everybody has their rights to their own stuff, so unless a person aquires permission from everybody involved, releasing a bundle on their own would be grounds for legal action. Same reason you don't see some 3rd party bundle in one box Windows, Office, Acrobat, and AutoDesk. Tell you what, if you'd like, I'll send you a PM with a list including links of everything you need basic to get started and we can go from there.
  23. OR we could actually collaborate together instead of you working on your own since the goal is the same, there is no need to have your tweaks influence mine or mine influence yours.
