No option for yellow and brown matter for fuel, the look on some Kerbals faces during a launch would make ton of fuel. -
It is the same with all recording software, but this mod is a good solution.

I try to aim for 3-4 stages if at all possible, but missions that are more complex may require more. If I am doing more than one body the stage could may go up depending on what the payload is, I know my current project has a fair amount of staging but it is needed for the mission.

Spaceplane docking issues

Nice thing with this I have found, might be new for .25, is that you can select a docking port on the ship you wish to dock to, well before you can see it on screen. One of the best mods I have ever used, next to maybe the clouds mod. -

Here is an easy way to look at posting anything, anywhere, online that everyone should consider: "Would I like being addressed in this fashion?". Too often people forget that they are addressing other people, yes even the devs are people, with very little tact that it is appalling, and yes I am guilty of it myself as we all are from time to time. I have found myself typing out a message on the forums (here and other places) only to delete them after rereading what I have put down as I would not like to be "talked" to in that fashion, in fact today I have wrote nearly 20 posts that I never even posted just because I did not like the tone I was taking in them. Without seeing the original post we only have your word to go by as to the nature of the post, but as with most things there are two sides to every story and I sure there was merit to the post/thread being removed. Even this post I could see being removed as it is in nature meant to "stir the pot" so to speak, and baiting out a fight with the mods on the forums (this is usually a very bad way to go about getting any answers). If you want to know why something was removed or why it was done try asking the mod in question in pm, not in a post like this, and maybe you will see it from their side of things. Much like the warning was done privately to you you should show the same courtesy to them as well. If nothing else take a break from the forums if the rules are upsetting you, sometimes time away will give you a better time to reflect on the situation.

Wouldn't that make Gilly even easier to land (controlled crash) on since it requires very little in terms of dV? You could use Eve's areobraking to save a ton of dv, and possibly get an encounter with Gilly if done at the right time. -
First time should give rep provided they reach a milestone (iE first orbit, Mun landing, Minmus landing, and ect), but after that the rep stops from those missions as well. With the way it sounds right now you could do multiple missions to get the rep from them and then kill the Kerbals for minimal rep loss, there should be some reward for bringing them home alive. Maybe at some point the contract will only fulfilled if the Kerbal(s) are returned home.

Kerbals are asexual and grow out of holes in the ground, hence why they are all green. -
This......a thousand times this. I have talked to some people I know that are working on a game (not from SQUAD) that sums it up nicely: "Players thinks they know what they want, but when they get everything they want they are even more up happy".

While as of .23 I was playing more career mode than sandbox, I am currently considering taking a break from the career mode things for a bit. It is not because I am unhappy with the current changes to the mode itself, but rather I am just at a state of burnout right now. There are a few things I would like to see tweaked (Tech tree being the biggest one that I see right now) in future updates, but otherwise it seems to be coming along just fine. Maybe in an update or two I will come back to it or even in a few months but for now I am considering doing something different and fun for me, and at the end of the day that is what any game is suppose to be for the player.

I like the career mode update myself, but on the other hand I am actually disinterested in the spaceplane + integration honestly. It is nice and all but it is not all that important to me, I have made some things with the parts but I would like to see more options for pods. Right now if you want do a two man mission you have to add a second single command pod or only put two in the three man pod, the two man can is just not that great for what it is. I have been playing with the idea of using the new plane parts as part of a rocket that could house a lander inside, but it does kind of look silly. Also blowing up buildings and what not was funny for a few times but I would like to shut that off honestly, or can it be shut off I am not sure. Personally I will remove/disable this when it is put in play, I have read the mod and it does not interest me at all. I hope they give us the option to turn off things like this myself, otherwise I will be ,reluctantly, going back to sandbox.

Jeb finally ended his hunger strike......and I found out why I was not losing power......I am not running TAC so there is no draw on the battery system -

Ok I am at a loss as to what is going on but when ever I take a manned craft out into orbit when I get to the dark side of the planet the batteries stay full, no cheats active either and solar panels are showing as being blocked by the respective body I am in orbit around. The only two mods that are not up to date are ambient light mod and firespitter, bot I doubt have any contection to the issue. My mod list: Toolbar Ambient light mod EVE Chatter Community Resource Pack DE Distant Object Firespitter KAS KER Hot Rockets Navyfish docking adapter NEAR ORSX Procedural Fairings Smokescreen Snacks Texture Replacer Kerbal Alarm Clock MKS/OKS MM 2.5.1

This is the error that Snacks is throwing when, I assume, Jeb is trying to eat one, I still have no explanation for my lack of power draining while not in charge mode (I checked to make sure alt+F12 did not have a cheat enabled and there was none turned on). Hopefully it helps some what, the only other messages I seen were from timewarping and pausing the game. This was taken from a career mode save, but it was the same error that was seen in sandbox as well. -
I was playing around with fairings and now I am coming with some oddball names for ships. For some reason this ship will be seeing a lot of uses 3-7 days out of the month... This took Jeb out to Minmus and did a slingshot to Mun before coming home.

I accepted your challenge of going to Minmus but took the long way home, by going to Mun after getting a slingshot around Minmus. So after 20 days here is what I had.... No snack usage during the whole trip. Here it is around Mun to show what the craft looks like, nothing overly special just a 48-7, a FL-T200 tank, 2 of the small square batteries, two static solar panels, a mk16 chute, and the MK1 pod. Mods I am using, other than Snacks, are: Near Navyfish docking adapter EVE Astronomers pack distance oject DE Chatter Toolbar KE KAS Hotrockets MKS Procedural Fairings ORSX Texture Replacer MM 2.5.1 So with that I am not sure what is causing Jeb to go on a hunger strike, it is funny though Hmm I may have to grab this and see Edit: Hmmm looking back at the pics, both here and ones I took, I notice that in the snacks window it says Kerbin in all of them, I wonder if maybe it is thinking it is still on Kerbin rather than in space/other location? Other than the Snacks not being eaten this is the only thing hat stands out, I may do some more testing in the AM with the debug menu open to see if any errors occur on launch (ect). -

Well it loads just fine, however I just took Jeb out to mun and back, and of the 50 snacks in the MK1 pod he ate zero. Although I have never used this mod before I assume he should have, at the very least, ate one snack on that trip. The other thing I noticed, though I am not convinced it is related yet, my craft used zero electric charge when on the dark side of Mun, I am not sure if that is a bug with snacks, a different mod, or maybe a random thing in KSP. I was in sandbox testing on my 32x save (since 64x is a crap shoot), though that most likely does not matter I would toss that in as well. -
Well I did something I didn't I would do for awhile, but in an attempt to make things more challenging for myself I installed Near. I tried FAR but I had trouble with the readouts and formulas, basically it was written in Pig Latin or drunkenese and did not know what to do with them (and with college classes and other things I do not have the time to spend learning currently). The thing I find odd though is people complain that using MJ is just making the game too easy, and yet in NEAR, and using the same rocket to test in FAR, I had to do nearly nothing while launching (just a small bit of tipping to get it to start turning). It almost made it boring

Anyone else not really care for the career stuff?

My question for you is this then should they only focus on sandbox mode then? Not to sound troll but sandbox is boring to a lot of people, and yet others only use it to test out designs (much like you would do in other sandbox games that require building things). I never thought I would like career mode either until I gave it a go, yeah it has issues but it is a great starting point for newer players than sandbox even if they do not do the contracts. The limited parts gives them an easier time to learn the basics before moving on to bigger missions, and once they have gotten a good idea of how it works they could migrate over to career + contracts or even sandbox. With sandbox the only real limitation is whatever you place on yourself, if SQUAD puts anything in sandbox limiting what, or how, you do things kind of defeats the sandbox nature of that mode. -
