Yeah, no wonder you weren't un-banned. You should give up, if they hadn't made their mind by now, this will surely make them never accept you again.

Why is so much harder to get to Earth Orbit?
monstah replied to Spaced Out's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Precisely. Earth orbital speed is closer to 7km/s, too, but the 9km/s figure comes in when you add gravity and aerodynamic losses. -

Can you help, please?
monstah replied to cratercracker's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, unmodded installs)
If I'm not mistaken, Mac tends to bundle application folders as if they were a single file: when you double click what (on a Windows machine) would be the KSP game folder, instead of opening a folder explorer it runs the game executable. I don't know if Steam's "Browse Local Files" will take you to where the folder is, or inside the folder itself. In any case, you can right-click the folder icon and explore the contents normally. -
Contracts appearing/disappearing
monstah replied to mavric1298's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Well, I've seen Contract Configurator change which contracts are available as I look at them before, if that's what you're asking. Never bothered me, but it happens. Now, do contracts you have accepted disappear, too? That would be a problem. -
Make staging graphic clearer
monstah replied to Aru's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
If you deactivate the engine by the action menu, the fuel disappears but the engine won't stage anymore. If you activate it by the action menu, fuel appears, but you can still stage it... -
Oh, sorry, these are just more ideas. The seven segments you found seem good enough, for me

Hahaha! Yeah, I guess they feel just like the Hobbits after their adventure, only instead of staring at gigantic pumpkins in depression they stay at the Prancing Pony wishing they were still adventurers.

Make staging graphic clearer
monstah replied to Aru's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Another one: alt+L will lock staging for that ship (very useful for stations, or if you have children around you pressing space bar to screw up daddy's/mommy's rocket...), and, if I'm not mistaken, stage lock persists ship change. I've seen some people mad, asking why the hell their ships won't stage. The tell? That same green light turns pink (or orange? not sure) when it's locked -
No, seriously you guys. We have rules in this forum, and some content is off-limits. I understand that it's a serious matter for some people, and I respect their opinions, this is just not the place. I went ahead and removed some content, including what led to the more recent messages. Thanks for understanding

Aaaalrighty, the thread took a wrong turn somewhere... let's please not discuss these things here, yes?
-
I think he means this: But, in any case, let's drop the personal back-and-forth and go back to discussing the mod edit: eh, ninja'd. Very well, I might do a pull request when I get back home. One question (not that it matters for some players, but out of curiosity): how do you visualize it happening "in game"? I mean, some players (myself included) already think that an invisible, mass-less autostrut is "cheaty" (again, not that it matters, it's a personal opinion). This mod makes parts buoyant, alright, but is it by magic?

Console Patches Update Discussion
monstah replied to James M's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
Oh, yeah... that's why they usually don't state a time frame at all! -
totm aug 2023 What funny/interesting thing happened in your life today?
monstah replied to Ultimate Steve's topic in The Lounge
That's the international symbol for the phoneme (the "sound", sort of). If you check the page for Na'vi language, it's there on the table that I linked, with the apostrophe beside it as it's "letter" on that alphabet -

Well, ackchyually... the ' in "Na'vi" is a pronounced glottal stop... edit: just realized they don't have a /g/... but have /ŋ/. WAT. -
Make staging graphic clearer
monstah replied to Aru's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
At first I thought you were just overthinking it, but when I got to the actual suggestion I couldn't help but empathize and agree. TL;DR, this: In any case, about the problem that led you to the suggestion, I still think you're overthinking it: You can create a stage directly above the last one by clicking the "+" button on the stage above it (provided there is one, of course), and drag your decoupler to that. It'll activate the next time you hit spacebar - or, not really: staging tends to disable itself when you re-arrange things in-flight, and you can see that the green light in the staging bar starts to blink green rather than be firmly on; the first press of spacebar will re-activate it, and the next will actually stage something. -
Long live Ladyada! I love this little baby (https://www.adafruit.com/product/938), but on the shop they also have 16-bit color versions Only downside to it is that the I2C address is hardwired, and you have only 2 to choose from by a jumper.

@TheRagingIrishman mine sorted itself out too, so I'm suggesting something I may have done by chance... but I agree ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Yeah, I posted that but it merged with the above message. Also, I just logged out on the computer, and the phone was still logged in. Could you try logging out in all devices, then logging back in?
-
Strange, I'm currently logged at both my work computer and phone (just checked), and I'm pretty sure my home computer is also logged in. But I've had what you describe happen to me before. It might be a profile setting? Hm, looked for it and didn't find anything.

Alright, this has gone far enough off-topic.
