  1. If we count rovers then about 60km and 60km back on Mun, which was a horrifying experience even though the rover was build very soundly (two sets of wheels in case it flipped, which it did, a lot).
  2. Here's mine: Uses no propellant and can land anywhere (Tylo, Eve, you name it) and go back and continue doing so for eterninty (not really but Tylo round trip cost me 1000/40000 antimatter units and has been done in less than a day).
  3. Very busy, most of it is debris, though:
  4. I usually use abbreviations like xrayfishx or analogues to the real life spacecrafts. For example my first probe that left the system was named Gallivant instead of Voyager.
  5. I finally strarted modding seriously recently and SP+ is really indispensable for all my spaceplane builds. Here's my KSPI + SP+ SSTO to anywhere and back spaceplane: I'd love some reverse cargo bays to make some nice VTOLs though. Looking forward to the next update!
  6. Starting some IVA planning? Sounds like it might be even longer. If I had to bet it would be just under two weeks.
  7. I really can't wait for this release. I got bored of KSP (for the third time) so I decided to install KSPI which looks great but it's pushing me past the memory limit All those mods I will be able to get
  8. Russia (my vote) or China of course, as they have similar approach to safety as most KSP players. The USA or European countries wouldn't, for example, use nuclear propulsion for political reasons, whereas I don't think that would be a problem in Russia or China.
  9. 10 choice limit and they were similar for me. With the help of kraken I even made a reliable Moho SSTO with no refuelling.
  10. Eh, let's not go into that territory as much as I agree with you this will only lead to this thread being closed and damage the great, friendly atmosphere of this forum. Btw when did they disable html elements in posts? I remember playing around with the <marquee> a bit, then my post got deleted and now I can't even set the size of the font . Bring it back, mods, I promise I won't abuse it anymore.
  11. The second sentence wasn't referring to egyptian artifacts but artifacts as a whole, mostly roman statues/busts.
  12. Yeah, no one should blow up Vatican before they return what they stole from all over the world. I've been to Vatican and they have more egyptian artifacts than in the national museum of Egypt in Cairo. Actually they have so much things there that they can't even display most of them and they rot in warehouses , I saw it all. Plus the architecture is a sight to behold (although, again, the materials used to build the buildings and monuments, like marble, were taken from demolishing even more ancient buildings, which is quite sad). Pantheon was still better though.
  13. You can say what it will roll if you know the circumstances under which it will be rolled.
  14. Another question: If there was an enormous object made from an indestructible material (so it wouldn't just be torn apart) and only an infinitesimal part of it dipped below the event horizon, would the whole object be inevitably swallowed?
  15. An infectious organism coming from somewhere where there's nothing to infect? Seem very unlikely so adequate precautions would be none. Still, I think they handle the samples using at least hermetical containers opened only at labs that are designed to contain anything that could escape, so no worries there.
  16. Thanks, that's what I wanted to hear I know, I only wanted to confirm if a) was wrong.
  17. From my basic understanding of orbital mechanics I concluded that: a) there are four basic trajectories in an inertial system of two bodies: circular, elliptical, parabolic, hyperbolic if you're on an escape trajectory, you need to do a breaking maneuver or aerobreak (or lithobreak ) in order to not escape the celestial body That would mean that going beyond the event horizon of a black hole should be no different, accelerating you immensely before the periapsis and decelerating you accordingly thereafter, leading to your escape. By the definition of event horizon, that should be impossible though. So either the black hole can change your trajectory without applying any additional force to your craft or a) is wrong. If a) is wrong then just someone say so and we can close this discussion.
  18. Not one of those except procedural fairings should or will be stock. Ever.
  19. I agree with all of those except for kOS, it's better to leave it as a mod. Google KSP KAC
  20. Tylo is harder than Eeloo, surely. I pointed out in the OP that this isn't all that much about difficulty but about exploration. (Except Eve )
  21. This. And assuming non circular orbits it's 2*10.8121 = 21.6242 km
  22. Yeah, many things should be edited, unfortunately it seems that the system doesn't allow it and if it does I don't know how.
