  1. Current version: 2.5 for KSP 1.12.2 License: CC Attribution Share Alike 4.0 International ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've been using this part for a while now since the stock one is way too big for some rovers and pods and I don't like to take up so much space to return multiple copies of an experiment. Any way I searched all over for something that would work, and this is all I was able to find, and it was way out of date and did not function with 1.5.1. The mod was originally made by Talisar but he has not been around for a very long time and the license grants me the write to continue to work on it so here it is in case someone else has the same needs I do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- v 2.5.1 (06/27/2024) - Updated to KSP 1.12.5 v 2.5 (12/15/2021) - Updated for KSP 1.12.2 v 2.0 (06/04/2020) - Added the ability to "collect all" science from the vessel the container is attached to by right clicking on the container. - Added "Collect All" to the action group abilities. v 1.0.3 (06/02/2020 - Updated for KSP v 1.9.1 v 1.0.2 (12/20/2018 - Updated for KSP v1.6 v 1.0 (12/03/2018) - Reconfigured folder structure and updated all cfg files for KSP v1.5.1 Available on CKAN Download from Spacedock

  4. Basically, just a short-ish ring block (2.5m), simple white texture, bigger would be fine to if I can tweakscale it down without an issue (blend in roughly with the style of the near future mods / vens part revamp). When not deployed, it'd be fairly smooth, just cylinderical, but the skin would open into short aerobrakes to provide a little drag, just to re-orient a rocket, not to stop it on their own. The part should be able to be deployed in the upper atmosphere and remain extended all the way down without blowing up. I'm just being fussy because I don't like putting big unnecessary lumps on for the normal aerobrakes when I really don't need them. (Quick edit: Ah yeah, it'd be nice to be able to install it via CKAN.)
  5. I recently reinstalled KSP on my laptop as I had to get Windows reinstalled and it wiped everything. Whenever I try to attach something radially it won't attach perpendicular to the surface and I have to rotate it manually. It's really annoying, and ideas?
  6. Just on the heels of Azimech's awe-inducing V4 is my no frills, 12 cylinder radial. Inspired by Azimech o' course. It features -realistic radial engine motion -active cooling -6.5 rads/s-ish top speed -see thru cylinders -stop/start anytime I'm pretty proud, so I wanted to share. (Also, I used to be a good speller, but I've had to google so many words lately. You know you can tell when they don't look right, but still gotta look it up.) KerbalX
  7. I built a really small flyer, to small for docking ports, and I put a bunch of them on a big plane and took off. I had to use radial decouplers and when I detached the decouplers were stuck to the flyers. The flyers were so small it threw off the balance. I think we should have radial seperators. Like the seperators we have now but for putting stuff on the side of the rocket or plane. that would be really helpful.
  8. So, short form: I've got a design I want to be able to 'snap into' a few different cargo bays using the TT-38K decoupler. I can't figure out how to subassembly it so I can mess with it. I've tried using it for a root part, but no joy. What methods do you guys use when you have standard booster builds or cargo components that you want to radially attach to an existing design to speed up assembly?
  9. So in Ksp, I am making this awesome mothership thing. But what keeps happening is this: When I try to put the decouplers on the wings, One decoupler goes up and one goes down, I have tried pressing C and R and restarting ksp. When I press R it does nothing when it is on the wing. When it is on the fuselage it changes to mirror but when I move it it reverts to radial. Yes it is in SPH. PLEASE help.
  10. I used this mod in 1.0.4 / 1.0.5 - but stopped as I was new and didn't know about what I shouldn't do in KSP when it comes to parts. Anyway, this mod had an assortment of engines, but two that stood out was a radial mount LFO and MONO which looked the same, except the colors. [orange and blue] I know that it is a long shot, just curious.
  11. I have reached to a point in the career where I have to head to the mun. I have been having problems building a spacecraft. Now that I have built one, the radial decouplers have stopped working lol. I use liquid fuel boosters, 2 of them, and obviously radial decouplers. I have always make sure that the fuel tanks are attached properly to the decoupler and I still face this problem. I do use struts just so that nothing wobbles. Is this because of that? It would be amazing if anyone knew what I could do. http://imgur.com/a/jI4L9

  13. I don't understand the difference between prograde/retrograde and radial/anti-radial. I don't know when to use radial and what it does. When and why would I want to burn radial, and why radial not prograde or retrograde?
  14. The Mk55 "Thud" engine that radially attaches to anything has always been a pet peeve for a lot of people. It's a jack of all trades since you can attach it basically everywhere, has comparatively high thrust, and a high degree of vectoring. However.... the Thud is excruciatingly heavy for what it does and guzzles fuel. Especially since we now have the Vector that can basically do the same (sans attaching radially), but better. Which raises the following questions: Is there a good use case for a radially-attached LF/O engine with the stats of the Thud? If not, what would be proper stats to make the Thud more useful? Would the engine be better off as a Monopropellant-fired service engine, like a large version of the "Puff"? Since the engine already looks like the shuttle's OMS, feeding it with the right fuel and statting it as a properly usable OMS engine would be sensible. Are there any other purposes for the engine as it is right now? What would be better improvements on it? Remove it altogether? Your opinions are welcome. IMO, the Thud already has the looks of an OMS, and feeding it with Monopropellant means we can fly more realistic shuttle mission profiles since the shuttle does not need to carry LF+O on board.
