Congrats on the collaborative release!

I have only recently started playing with Outer Planets and had been looking into adding Outer Planets Plus (even using RoverDude's stand alone warp drive it can be a challenge to reach the moons of Sarnus and manage to return home).

One question: are there plans to add a couple of comets (as planetary bodies) as Custom Asteroids seems to be a bit buggy for me at present?

I also wish it could be possible to make comet tails appear radially away from the sun when they are close enough - hopefully someone from the community will figure this out one day.

A comet may or may not be added.

CustomAsteroids should work fine. Do you have the newest version of it?

Also, this mod uses very little memory, so feel free to install it with OPM!

Installed Custom Asteroids and yep - very buggy for me:

* NOTE: KSP 64bit on Linux so I have a ton of mods... including DarkMultiplayer so my game often has visits from friends (the above asteroids spawned in the space of about 30 mins or so).

So in relation to the above pic, I look forward to seeing what other outer bodies will be added to the Outer Bodies Plus pack as my asteroids seemingly want to match the number found in our own real solar system... lol :)

Deadpan, did your system show up like this, or did you timewarp? Custom Asteroids handles timewarp levels above 1000(0) badly, everything below that should be fine. I found that leaving the system at 1000x for a few minutes usually cleaned up most of the junk. Alternatively, edit your savefile (if your text editor can handle it :D)

It's because he's on 64bit linux. CustomAsteroids does this on 64bit linux.

Well, we could add Klive as a comet...

I honestly found it more interesting as the centaur that it was. Sisyphus should probably be a comet.

Remember, though, most new planets will be exported from SpaceEngine by me and have much more hi-res textures.

This I find amusing as I am on 64bit linux myself and have been able to avoid that issue with the steps I suggested above. Additionally, the code KSP's mods run in is platform agnostic afaik, so apart from issues like case sensitivity, using a mod on different operating systems will not have all too much of an impact.

I was tracking down issues with OPM and had forgotten that I installed OP+1.6 (I even forgot it was a WIP) and kept seeing all these exceptions in my log file. I got rid of OP+ and it seems that's where all of those Planet Ui logfile errors were from.

Is this going to be the official moons/asteroids/comets mod for OPM, or are they working on that same thing too?

Glad you're helping out on this _Augustus_. The buggy releases have been getting tiresome. Are you going to integrate the moons from amarius1's release back into this version, or are you going to develop new moons? I know the OPM developers are planning Urlum moons for their next release, I hope you can show Neidon some love!

Hey install OP+ 1.6.1! HUGE bugfix: now you can land on all the moons :)

Well for now he is not planning to add them back but he said they will in future versions!

You should rename your thread to the OuterPlanetsPlus Dev thread.

I'm sorry, but your versions still aren't very stockalike or functional. I will re-add your moons in the future, but please don't promote your version as it is confusing.

Also, you should just make the old version stable and whatnot, and then stop working on it. I'll re-integrate your stuff as we go. To make you happy I've posted my plans for all of your planets and moons, I hope you like them :)

I made Regolith configs for the original moons. amarius1 will include them in the next release (i think), but I'll keep another version for this OP+ version

He's going to finish up his version and then we'll work on this together.

Erfen's a rather nice little body. Nothing super special about it (I would have expected a high-contrast region for an Iapetus analog), but its orbit makes it interesting to get to and from.

Lyvara is odd in its color and the rings appear slightly... "off" in map view, but they come out splendidly from orbit. The terrain isn't particularly interesting.

Overall, good enough to download. I look forward to seeing what you do with amarius' other moons. They're rather... extreme, to say the least.

The plans for them are in the OP.
