I understand what you're saying, but I'd just like to point out that certain new features may be easier to show visually, rather than just describing in text.

(The best way would be screenshots and short videos that show the feature, with plenty of description of what we're looking at.)

Some of the people in this thread really need to get over the thought that Squad owes you something, even if they said they would give you something, they still don't owe it to you. Max was sick last week and if it happens to be a really virulent bug, he is probably still sick. Do you really want to sit for an hour listening to someone hack and sniff into a microphone?

It was stated that he was in some sort of business meeting that went long, for the record. I'll update the OP.

Actually I don't mind that last part - I derive great amusement from it in fact... I just find it odd that he's so bad at it :/

Max isn't sick anymore, guys. We were told he was tied up in meetings today. One assumes it was a last-minute thing he couldn't get out of, seeing as the plan was that there would be a Squadcast today.

Well, if they're going to get the whole community overhyped by exclaiming that "Oh, we have soooo much to reveal next week!" and then top it off with "We can't do this now", then why would they even tell them that they're super ready for Squadcast even if they know that Max can't do it? And even so, they don't even TRY to have an alternative, at least? Seriously, I understand that they can't sacrifice Max's health for Squadcast, but at least try to give some info about the update. At least that. But this? This?! They know that they can't get Squadcast to happen, so what do they do? NOTHING. Not even a bit of information. Just--Nothing. Nothing at all.

I'm terribly dissapointed, Squad.

I'm not to disappointed. Squadcast has been a constant for many Muns now. Missing a few weeks isn't that big a deal.

I feel the exact same bout this. Here, take some rep Squad owes nothing to us, and if they cannot make a squadcast its because they have no choice. No reason to complain !

Im really really curious about the parts, the resources system and the IVAs though, i would love some screenshots of work in progress stuff !

Squad is a small team and they have very much to do. 1.0 is the most content intensive update so far, so i can understand the situation. If MaxMaps is buried in work or too busy with keeping his schedule, it just is a polite and respectful gesture to wait in patience. And i will do so. Maybe they can give us a new screeny or two in the nex DevNote Tuesday. That would return faith and satisfaction i guess

At this point, my curiosity would be sated if they just throw up a picture of a fairing and a picture of a new spaceplane using the new landing gear and larger wings.

I disagree, in stating that you will do something you do have a duty of care to do that thing.

Having said that, It's no big deal. Squad have morethan delivered with this product.

Yeah, I'm curious about updates and IVAs and everything they said we'll be shown, but at the end of the day, a meeting overran and Max couldn't get to Squadcast on time. I'm confident we'll be shown screenshots eventually, no need to moan and complain that Squad didn't do something. It doesn't achieve anything. Max knows he was supposed to show off some pictures or whatever and he also knows he didn't. He'll get round to it when he has time, no doubt - don't complain about it, it just increases negativity here.

See this is what's tough in business, the people clamor for updates, so you figure you'll be cool and do them, but then as soon as you miss 1 or 2 everyone's mad.

Maybe they should go back to no updates, huh?

It's like I learned in a leadership class many years ago, if you put $20 in all the staff's mailboxes, someone will complain that it wasn't $30.

At the time I found it hard to believe but 20 years later I've realized it's quite true.
